I personally tried to broker an alliance between the 100,000+ demonstrations in London by Srilankan Tamils and the Stop the War movement and was told by all members that they 'didn't want to dilute the Palestinian question'. I have never found Ayaan Hirsi Ali to be particularly articulate on any position. In fact, it often seems as though she is being asked to support the agenda of whichever organisation she is visiting or whichever interviewer she is speaking with. I understand that she has lived an unusual life and has a unique perspective, but I am struggling to identify a cogent argument in her books or interviews.
