Its awesome to see a demo reel from a professional its truly inspiring! I've worked with that robot character rig before, so its cool to see it put to good use haha. I just finished my very first short called "Christmas confusion" if you have the time, check it out and let me know what you think :)
very impressive demo reel. i love jimmy neutron! i'm a beginner to 3D animation (have been doing it for about a year now....) and when i look at yours, the only way to go is upward (the sky's the limit!). did you study animation before? what are you working on right now (in terms of company and production)? i would greatly appreciate it if you would take a look at my very first animation film called "Kevin and the Video Game (Revised Version)" and give me some feedback pls! :)
@NathanaelXavier Thanks for your kind comments. I did go to College (Academy of Art) not that you need too. Most schools are what you put into them. Though a good teacher can really make the difference. Animation Mentor is great. Keep Animating. Do Short Tests. & later 11 Second Club. I am currently doing Pre-Vis on many upcoming movies and loving it.
Your Film... Fun Concept. Like you suggested, some beginner mistakes. A lot of foot slipage ... Most of the mistakes seem like you have to get ...
@jpanim8r get ... more familiar with the curve editor. Don't move the camera so much. (It's good that you kept it a simple environment) Did you mean for the game cover texture to be off?)
Keep it up!
I've been curious about Blender. How do you like it? Have you used other 3D software programs?
@jpanim8r thanks for your feedback, it was very helpful. umm, what exactly do you mean by curve editor? do you mean NURBS/BEZIER curves? ya, i wanted a little variation in camera movement but i think i over did it (especially in the intro scene). for the game cover texture, that was a mistake (i actually wanted the full texture but every time i applied it to the mesh, it would magnify the image...i dunno why that happened but i never got around to fixing that problem) blender is amazing and.....
@jpanim8r and... i love it! especially the fact that it is free. my animation teacher in high school introduced me to the software (it was a new 3D animation course). each student had to create a film about 90s in length, and that's how i produced "Kevin and the Video Game." believe it or not, i was actually considered the "teacher" in my class (every day i would get requests for tutorials and extra help from my peers) b/c our teacher didn't know much about the software (continued)...
@jpanim8r (continued)... and i had the most knowledge of the software in the class (we were all introduced to the new software at the same time, but i was committed, and watched tutorials on youtube EVERYDAY!)anyway...in terms of other animation software, i have recently started using Autodesk Maya 2011(and i'm glad i have a solid foundation from using blender, which makes the learning curve for Maya a little easier to use). What software do you use?thx for replying (sry its such a long reply) :)

Amazing stuff! I can't comprehend the quality of the work. Organic movements are fascinatingly complex to me ...

Hi friends
I'm looking for 3D artists to make a 3d test chapter for submission to American producers. George Lucas or Spielberg.
These are the adventures of Woman Force. Five girls who form a group of direct action.
If you want to participate email me and tell me you want to do.
You can see a sample of the project on youtube:
Greetings
