So there.)

I like it that adama cries so much it shows how human he is something you would never have seen in star trek apart from star trek generations where picard was seen crying after his family was killed in a fire and data was crying after he found his cat spot in the wreckage of the enterprise-d.
Agreed. It's wonderful that they didn't depict him as "The Typical Man" who isn't allowed to show his vulnerability. Adama managed to show authority, sensitivity and vulnerability , all in one. And Eddie Olmos managed to portray Adama in a way that didn't make him look weak, even in those scenes where he lets his guard down..
