They're trying to turn him into a 7, when really he makes such a bigger impact as carrying ball as 6 or 8 then contesting breakdowns as 7. Unless he gets back on form playing in a suited position I'de go with Ferris, Heaslip and Warburton. However, as an Irish supporter I love to see Heaslip go to 7, he's great at the breakdown, and have O'Brien as 8 and Ferris as 6, with there powerful ball carrying :)

@Marveh But in my opinion there is enough ball carrying power with O'Brien and Heaslip, there isnt myuch class backrow forwards in Ireland and Britain that can get tuirnover ball, in the rugby world cup Warburton got fantastic turnovers and carried the ball well that gave Wales go forward play, Dont get me wrong ferris is an awsome ball carrier but i reckon the Lions need a good fetcher like Warburton:)

@TheAzzylad true true, like i said warburton is definitely one of the backrows in contention for the lions, but lately ferris has been on much better form than o'brien, which iwhy i'de be inclined to put ferris at 6, heaslip at 8 and warburton at 7. my other idea is more of an irish backrow then the lions(although i'de love to see it anyway lol). i just think obrien(when on form) needs to be playing blindside or 8 to utilize his ball carrying. and heaslip is a better at turns overs then either->

If you bothered to watch rugby you would see that Jamie gets to the Breakdown quicker and stole more balls than SOB last season, especially in France v Ireland in the Aviva warm up. Fez at 2nd row is an option when Dom Ryan or Rhys comes through. SOB is much more explosive than Jamie and when he was at 8 last season he burst through people at the scrum
