@donniegerrard Actually I think your thinking of the christian version of Easter. I don't remember any history where the Wiccans or pagans were stupid enough to waste someone's life for no other gain that their own or a false beleif in a false god that is full of hypocisy, hatred, segregation, and so on.
@Vardreki everyone knows christianity is a rip off from paganism so it makes sense christians would also sacrifice virgins.....though now they molest children in churches. I just still dont understand why pagans think burning some poor innocent virgin to death in May is going to guarentee good crop growth for the rest of the year. I used to be a Christian but I got so fed up with all the tyranny, hypocrisy, bigotry, self righteousness, homophobia, threats of damnation, stoning, murdering, crucifying, fighting, etc., that I had to give it up. Since then, I've become a devotee of the Goddess and have found real peace and freedom! I look to the Tarot now for truth and wisdom instead of the bible. The bible just divides people and even Jesus admits he came "not to bring peace but a sword." To be a Christian is to be a slave!
@EquaIity4all I also choose to be pagan. However, I hold no hatred for Christianity. That is sort of in opposition to my adopted beliefs. I feel Christians not Christian dogma is flawed. Not all Christians support tyranny, hypocrisy, bigotry etc. as you state. Just like not all pagans support Crowley's use of drugs or various other pagan dogmas that encourage use of sex, drugs, alcohol etc. in their rites/beliefs. Tarot is a divination system not a dogma or revealer of truth.
@smsswensondarling I was Christian until age 30, then turned Pagan. Then, about 6 years later, I came back. But I'm drifting back to Paganism & Tarot. I don't think most Christians realize how Earth-oriented the Bible is & how "earthy" Jehovah is. Read Psalm 148. Christian teaching is VERY flawed & that's why Christians are flawed. God told Adam & Eve to be good stewards of the Earth, not to wish they were in Heaven all the time.
@EquaIity4all Oh my goodness, I could have written that myself. I try to stick with the Bible by reading the Psalms - the imprecatory, curse Psalms are the only ones I like anymore - but I'm losing my enthusiasm because Jehovah isn't coming through for me. I have my Tarot cards at hand though.

Even in the christian religion there is balance in the trinity, so there is balance in paganism with the opposites of male and female. @kittykat979 Pretty much ever pagan walks a path that fits them. Unlike christianity, where there is only one path. The morals are basically the same, and I find with other pagans, there is less hypocracy and less judgement. It's more of what is right for you, not what is 'right for the masses'.

Wicca is something that has always interested me. During about 10-13 years, I've never approached it very closely, but somehow always felt a pull towards it. As a teenager, I was told that I would "grow out ot if" -but now I am 25 years old, and still it calls me.

I would also like to add the point of the animal sacrifice is to point out that it was not a nice thing that Pagans done in the past, but we changed and that there is hope that others may change as well. There are a lot of people changing these days. Some for the good and some for the not so good. But the point is if we don't give people a chance, than what is the point. Paganism use to sacrifice live animals on alters, but as all belief systems it changed with time. Everyone has their own interpretation of religion and we have to accept that fact. But you can not blame a religion for a PERSONS choices. The bible did not stand up and tell the christian to go out and commit a hate crime. The person who interpreted it that way did.

I'd like to learn more about the Wiccan religion, it seems so interesting. All my life, I've had Christianity shoved down my throat, but it never seemed right to me. Naturally, I got curious and studied Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Phoenician, and Hindu practices, and became very enamored with them all. I've been religionless for a while, is Wicca right for me? Sri Maa Kali was the only Living deity i noticed here. all the others r long since forgotten, esp. Astarte/Inanna/Isis, theyre the same deity yet were worshipped \very\ differently and not at all like this, what Sri Mahamaya is doing here is well beyond confusing.

@phoenix1985 On many occasions, I've personally witnessed demons getting obliterated by god's angels. I have the gift of spiritual sight, which you people would call clairvoyance, so I unfortunately see demons all the time. When I do, I call on the archangels to attack them, the best is when I tell them to strangle the demon, I can actually see them get behind the vile enitities and suffocate them. For most of my life I haven't been a Chrisitian, in fact several years ago I started dabbling in the occult. That dabbling turned into obsession, I was doing everything I could to contact spirits in the afterlife. That led me to being attacked by demonic forces. It was then I discovered that calling on the archangels fought them off.
@astrolifter If it will get you to hear the truth I will talk to you however is necessary. Dealing with spirits always carries risk if you don't know what you are doing. You, like most dabblers, were simply hungry for power. You delved into things you didnt understand and got more than you bargained for. If you try to forcibly contact spirits you are going to get problems. You have to let the spirits come to you. Angels exist in Wicca too. They arent exclusive to Christianity.

Kali is a Hindu Goddess and I'm pretty sure that is Lilith and not Astarte. Paganism use to sacrifice live animals on alters, but as all belief systems it changed with time. Everyone has their own interpretation of religion and we have to accept that fact. thats not it, our spells and rituals are to empower ourselves to let us believe in ourselves.
unlike other religions we believe that willpower and the energy of life and the universe, is not simply obtained by casting a spell.

the basic jist is sweet but one fault is most of the goddesses u r invoking hav no current lineages, therefore they cannot b worshipped properly. Sri Maa Kali was the only Living deity i noticed here. all the others r long since forgotten, esp. Astarte/Inanna/Isis, theyre the same deity yet were worshipped \very\ differently and not at all like this, what Sri Mahamaya is doing here is well beyond confusing.

I have the gift of spiritual sight, which you people would call clairvoyance, so I unfortunately see demons all the time. When I do, I call on the archangels to attack them, the best is when I tell them to strangle the demon, I can actually see them get behind the vile enitities and suffocate them. Its the greatest sight ever!!

I have communicated with the dead, helped heal the sick, and banished demons and dark spirits from people and places. There is one truth you will never understand. And that is there is only 1 Divine Creator, and it doesnt care what name we call it by. Jehovah, Allah, Zeus, Athena, all the same spirit

For most of my life I haven't been a Chrisitian, in fact several years ago I started dabbling in the occult. That dabbling turned into obsession, I was doing everything I could to contact spirits in the afterlife. That led me to being attacked by demonic forces. It was then I discovered that calling on the archangels fought them off.

@astrolifter If it will get you to hear the truth I will talk to you however is necessary. Dealing with spirits always carries risk if you don't know what you are doing. You, like most dabblers, were simply hungry for power. You delved into things you didnt understand and got more than you bargained for. If you try to forcibly contact spirits you are going to get problems. You have to let the spirits come to you. Angels exist in Wicca too. They arent exclusive to Christianity.

I didn't say that wicca is about the demonic, but rather that some of the forces behind it are. Your rituals are ineffective in fighting the demonic, I'm sure the demons have a good hearty belly laugh when you draw your circles, light all your candles and dress up in robes.
