I always thought Dark Funeral type riffs would work well in a Xasthur-like lo-fi atmospehere.

hey, its Daniel. This song reminds me of the stuff you composed in high school. For you, its not very complex. I've seen you play your own stuff and its way more complex. I'm not surprised that you figured this out by ear. Its seems repetitive and simple compared to your own work. Dont get me wrong, you did great on this, but I think its too easy for you, cuz I know how fucking fast and intricate you can actually play. This song is neither. Try learning Between the Buried and Me by ear. Or #12.

EMG's suck thats all I can say. Lord Ahriman uses the LW-HMET Seymour Duncan. My Jackson was tuned to their tuning so I used it. My BC Rich has the LW-HMET on it. Has a much more Raw thick Sound to the distortion. I agree the playing is right on but I learned this song by ear. I don't know who's part I'm learning Chaq Mols or Lord Ahrimans.
