As a student wanting to become an engineer in my further studies, i'm well impressed, i always tought it wasn't possible (laws of kinetic energy etc) The type i was willing to made uses just my own kinetic energy to let it flip out, and then use the potential energy in a spring to retract it.

But this.. this is an amazing example of what engineers are capable of.

I hope i will find your secret, and when i do, i will keep it a secret :P

By far the best model to date. My prototypes always jam on the second stage and then the mechanism locks up and the blade is stuck in place. I can see how you get it so small but I dont see how I can duplicate your design. I'll need to come up with a few new schematics. Happy hunting.

It's very good work. But think about really stabbing someone with this... You pull your hand back to extract it. Then you run to do your assassination. You pull back your hand again to use your blade and... AH DAMN! The blade disappeared.

I have uncovered Ammnra's secret in BOTH the pulley system AND the OTF. I have already combined the two as well. The two systems separately was super easy to figure out. the problem was merging the two. I will be creating my hidden blade in 3D space just like he did. Ill be making a video hopefully in the next month displaying the blade:) Thought you guys should know lol

OH DAMN. I made one based off of Jigsaws device in the first Saw movie... I didn't realize the Assassin's Creed blade was the exact same. I wish I had access to a printer doing mine though, mine is all wood... On the brightside, I feel confirmed in my design because (it looks like) we used the same spinny knot mechanic. Great job! :)

response to mikeadrew1: ezios blade has 3 stages, 1 the base, 2 the half triangle thingy, and 3 the blade. so the second and 3rd stage would fold into each other and go into the base thus making it possible for the 1st and 2nd stage to go in the base and fit the housing. YOURE WELCOME!!!

@gunsandbeyond He uses an OTF blade design, there is probably someone on youtube explaining how that works... spring loaded, slide forward to shoot it out, slide back to shoot it in... the pulley and knot just make it so that it's one action that does both in and out

I might not be the first person to spot this, but if you look closely at the hidden blade in the game while fully extended, you can see that the length of the blade is longer than the length of the housing. I was wondering if there would be a way to make something like that and use the same mech you used.
