Just say it. Its hard to follow. There were so many disjointed parts shoved together, and the transitionary parts were nill at best. Sure, great story, I liked the MAIN part of it, but the rest was just confusing... and I *know* the Flash story. Not an expert, but if *I* couldn't follow it well, imagine picking it up as a "Number One" issue and trying to follow the Flash from there. Not going to happen.

@TriforceOfComedy Start here. Start with Flash Rebirth and then get the next trade after it which is the death of the rouges. Then if you like them in may pick up the Flash omnibus.

@heartofzorro yeah man, Barry Allen truly represented what it meant to be a hero defending the innocent and being humble about it. Wally not so much. He was like Kyle Rayner, a poor excuse for the shoes of a great hero.

Barry Allen is the greatest Flash. Always felt that Wally wasn't the real Flash spirit. Barry had to return someday. The classic age heroes are the best and the eternal. This review is too slowmotion...

I agree about a Geoff Johns Aquaman Rebirth. But I believe Johns has already stated that the Rebirth thing ends with this series. And I also remember Dan Didio saying something similar. I suspect next summers big event book will be an old school classic Justice League reunion so maybe Arthur will be back by then.

For people who feel that barry is pushing wally out of the flash title. Keep in mind wally has said that he never wanted to be the flash and actually prefered his kid flash outfit, he claimed he only wore barry's colors to honor him.

I also loved the book though the complaint I have is trying to accept Barry as the flash. but like you I loved that bit about his childhood. like this one line I realy like was when he said "I still see that cop car in front of me, and I still can't catch it." beautiful dialogue right there.

Geoff Johns is going to do something with Aquaman in The Blackest Night. Though Geoff Johns is probably DC's best writer right now and has made me a fan of Green Lantern and Legion of Super-Heroes, the guy has ruined one of favorite character *cough* Wonder Woman*cough*.

I've really only read Flash in other books such as Identity Crisis and Grant's run on JLA. But I'm going to buy the Geoff Johns books oon sinc eI've been told that's the best run on the character. So I'd say get that.

You should check out the earlier (Wally West/Flash stories by Mark Waid as well. They were the stories that made Wally MY Flash.
