  • I'm not a Democrat, but this is the only guy I would vote "D" for.

  • A+ For Mike Gravel - wonderful. The man is honest, and has been from day one. Watch his 'then and now' clips. Mike Gravel is a really rare honest leader. Wow, its so refreshing to hear and see HONESTY. A+

  • Stop and think is officially a Gravelism :)

  • STOP AND THINK! lol

  • "stop and think." - mike gravel

  • y'know of any statement to seemingly accidentally repeat, "Stop and Think" is probably the best

  • 3 Choices in order - Mike Gravel Dennis Kucinich Ron Paul PERIOD. Support FULLY!

  • MIKE GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT 2008, I know we have it way better than alot of countries, but if we don't start changing soon, we wont be able to share our love with other countries and help them..thats what we should be doing

  • @Jendoll03 lol help them! like you did in Yugoslavia :) and Vietnam :) i speak for the world when i say, stay in your own continent :)

  • amen

  • Gravel, Kuchinich , Ron Paul are the only ones im looking at.. these guys are the only ones i trust

  • and that is the truth.

  • Please watch : Why We Fight - a fim by Eugene Jarecki

  • I know why we fight. I don't understand why it is that way.

  • Because WE allow it to happen....

  • if only people were smart enough to change it. Rather dumb enough to accept it.

  • Empower yourself PJ348 !!!! Make flyers & pass them out , encourage others to donate & to empower themselves ! :)

  • P.S .. you are by being here ! :)

  • I don't agree with everything Gravel says, but on this subject I couldn't agree more with him.

If we had more independent news channels, we would hear a lot more truth being spoke to the American people.

  • The war in IRAQ would not continue if the policy of the King leading his troops into battle was still the norm. How many generals have been lost in Iraq, they are fighting a war by hiding in a bunker. At least prince Harry was willing to go out there. Peace to the prince.

  • I love how the CNN interviewer repeats a flood of Republican talking points. Very fair journalism there.

  • he just owned everyone HELL YES

  • Go to face book and vote for gravel on their pole. If you don't have an account just sign up so you can vote. For every vote facebook donates to his campaign. Thanks!

  • Thanks To You For ANOTHER Informative video Of Mike Gravel, that makes sense and it to the point. I wish You well, I see Gravel and Paul are Truly Concerned for Our great Country.

Mike Gravel and Ron Paul would Make a GREAT Running Team!!! A Truly Bi-Partisan Team ;-)

    "Peace whenever Posssible, Anything is."

    Medley

  • I love this guy but my vote is for Kucinich, the other great man. I'm not a registered dem. Better look into it. If he was VP with Kucinich, or P and Kucinich VP, oh man this country would be great again.

  • LOVE THIS GUY! HE HAS MY VOTE!

  • "If i was a dem, Id vote Gravel."

I Love to see comments like that!

  • I'm a registered democrat and I think I'll vote for Gravel.

  • A+ for Gravel - Clinton F- - Obama F- - Dodd - F- and Poor Bieden - F-

  • Gravel has a big point that bush and the media are worried of

    no doubt about it

  • hmmm

  • Once again ,good advice to listen to a former senator thats been in politics for many years.A honest man that i would give a A plus.

  • Gravel for President!

"In a time of universal deciet, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." - George Orwell.

    911=Bush>>INSIDE JOB!

  • i can't stand people who would vote Guilliani. He's basically the same as Bush.

Im planning to vote Ron Paul, but this guy is definitely second choice

  • I to belive the same as you I except I will vote for Gravel if not Ron Paul, but they both look like real leaders.

  • If i was a dem, Id vote Gravel.

  • The wall, I agree, is a dumb thing to build. I think we should just become stricted about inspecting if employees are citizens of the U.S. by developing some kind of law that would severely punish employers who hired the immigrants.

  • The health care is a confusing topic. I actually would prefer that the govt. increased taxes and provided a better health care like France for example. Dont ask dont tell is a good way to keep the gays from getting killed by insane anti-gays in the army so I think the gays should appreciate that policy.

  • Typo: 700 MILE wall, lol. But, judging the work the government contractors did on the levies in New Orleans, 700ft is probably closer to what would actually be built, lol.

  • Anyone that is thinking for gravel needs to maybe look at Ron Paul. He hsa a much better chance of becoming president than Gravel. Although I really really do like Gravel I dont think that he has a chance of becoming pres.

  • jurgislv, I disagree! Anyone who is thinking of voting for Ron Paul needs to maybe look at Mike Gravel. Ron Paul is an evangelical christian who opposes a womans right to choose, stem cell research, civil liberties for gays, universal health care and supports a 700ft wall on the border, dont ask dont tell, additional funding for health care providers who dont perform abortions. Gravel is a MUCH better choice!

  • Well what's wrong with all that? The only thing I disagree with is the stem cell reaserch. Woman should be allowed to fucking choose wether or not concieve a baby not to kill one. Its their damn fault that they have one in the first place. Civil liberties for gays? Like what? What are we denying the fags? Marriage? Well thats because it goes against the morals of all non-gay people, allright?

  • Sometimes it's not a woman's fault if they have conceived a child, have you ever heard of rape? Probably not with your closed-minded thinking and tunnel vision. What if the mother could die from having the baby? Who gives a fuck about a cell that has no characteristics of a human whatsoever? I kill millions upon millions of "coulda-been" babies all the time! It's people like you who should be denied voting rights. Your ruining my world, you're a fucking moron.

  • Ron Paul is for privatizing everything, including the mail. Gravel supports universal healthcare and has the stongest posistion on ending the war.

  • The usps isn't run by the government..If I was a REP I'd vote for RON PAUL..

  • Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Finally, a presidential candidate with the balls to speak the truth and stand up for everything that he believes in. Easily the best and most educated candidate. If I could vote, he'd get mine no questions asked.

  • Why dont more Democrats talk like GRAVEL, The more i listen to GRAVEL the more i realize that the CURRENT Democratic presidential hopefuls are very much like the LOSER Republicans, who arent doing anything positive!

  • Gravel's got my vote.

  • RIGHT ON MIKE! If there is any justice in this world, you will be the 44th president.

  • Here's my theory. He'll bullshit America all he wants in order to get elected. I know, I know, it sounds crazy. Candidates rarely do that. I'm just saying, he may talk a big talk, but won't do shit in the White House.

I know, I know. That rarely happens. Clearly he's America's only hope. Don't listen to the sane person. Go back to what you were doing.

  • Stop spamming this in all of his videos. It makes you look like nothing more then a clone, and not to be taken seriously, regardless of sense.

  • Yeah Jizedi, he came out of retirement to bullshit America into a high stress, low paying job. Great theory...

  • Iran,Saudi Arabia,Syria&Russia these are his top 4

picks of countries to takeover the war effort in Iraq.

I like this guys social policies(disgust w/politics as

usual, drug policy reform)but his foreign policy is crazy.I don't have an answer to solve the mess in Iraq

,but handing it to that pack of jackals isn't it either.

  • i had no idea who mike gravel was until the youtube democratic debate. i was very impressed with him, eventhough he didn't get as much time as the other candidates to speak. he is definitely now one of my favorites from the democratic candidates.

  • same with me. watching some other stuff on him now and he's really shining through. seems like a pretty genuine "no bullshit" sort of guy.

  • "I've got great confidence because I've got great Soldiers. They want to fight terrorists here, so they don't have to fight terrorists back home"

    -Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch

  • "Don't worry sir, I'm from the internet"

    "Lol, Internet" -Albert Einstein

  • To me it seems like he not only speaks his mind, but he also speaks from his heart. Unfortunately, honesty has never found a place in politics historically. In the recent CNN-You Tube democratic debate, I felt like Anderson Cooper, who otherwise is one of my favorite anchor, did injustice by not giving Mike Gravel fair number of questions which did not help his already "Mike who?" kind of visibility.

  • The Iraqis have been there before the USA arrived and will be there after the USA leaves.

  • Exactly. More fearmongering out there. I am really tired of that.

  • Again I think the problem is the media. They are the ones telling us Hillary and Barack are the top tier. I mean these polls only ask 1000 people and God only knows where they get these people from. Why don't they like Mike Gravel, because he speaks truth to power and people dont' like that

  • 420 red eye is right but personally my vote would be Gravel. but the thing is we first have to spread the word about these candidates so we can finally have a good leader!!

  • His foreign and national security policy are all wishful thinking

  • In my opinion, Mike Gravel and Ron Paul are the only legitimate candidates in this election. I implore you to research them if you haven't.

    ronpaul2008 DOT com

    gravel2008 DOT us

  • Bottom line we should have never been there in the first place.

  • "Yes" generals sucking up to the White House. All the general who retired and can now tell the truth have said clearly Bush screwed up the war from day 1.

It's too bad the Democrats have NO CHANCE of nominating someone good like Gravel. I hope he dumps the pathetic Dems and goes independent. He should hook up with Bloomberg, Ron Paul, Chuck Hagel, Ralph Nader, Ross Perot, and other normal Americans and dump the ridiculous Republicrat party.

  • Great News.

Mike has been invited to participate in the LGBT debate.

    Bad News.....

Gravel not being invited to yet another debate. The AFL-CIO debate (America's Union Movement).

I hope everyone will take the time to call.

    Contact: Steve Smith

    (202) 637-5018

    (202) 412-4440 (cell)

Please, your call will make a difference.

  • i called he should be allowed to attend.

truth is though, he doesn't have the money or the mojo

    right now

    please consider ron paul

if you are looking for a truth speaker and a champion of the constitution

  • Yeah, yeah. He's my second choice.

  • We need a democrat that is electable and will be able to make things happen. Unfortuanetly that is not most the democratic presidential candidates. Good ideas is not enough i want to see al gore run and this guy.

  • This guy is dangerous

  • i think your lack of brains is dangerous also.

  • Iraq War Yes Duo:

Two candidates who voted to authorize the war in Iraq (Hillary and Edwards) now plan to team up probably against the real anti-war candidates (Obama, Biden, Gravel and Kucinich)who she says are insignificant.

Scheming Hillary is clearly only concerned about winning.

  • Gravel all the way !!!

  • This is all about the Military Industrial Complex - and Gravel is the only one that finds it repulsive. Thre are more contractors in Iraq now than US troops. We need this man for president!!

  • Yep. Every other candidate is for withdrawing, but what they don't say is that they'll leave the private army behind. Not only that, but their numbers would probably be increased. Gravel is the only candidate on either side that would also withdraw all private contractors. This guy has huge nutz...if elected, he'll be pissing off the most powerful folks in (or behind) politics.

  • Kliide - That's a good point and I didn't think of it like that. They want our troops out, but turn it into a real business opportunity with contractors. God! I hate these people!

  • Yea, it's pretty disgusting. Remember how Britain "reduced" their troop commitment? They've now got THEIR personal record for the largest ever private army serving under British command. 40,000 contractors (roughly, it's hard to get clean numbers) from ArmorGroup, Aegis, ControlGroup, Erinys, and a host of other private security companies. They've only reduced their numbers as far as their public knows. Their fighting force and involvement remains pretty much the same.

  • dear kliide, you said "Gravel is the only candidate on either side that would also withdraw all private contractors",nope not only does RON PAUL want to get the forces out of iraq but also the entire rest of the world. why are we still manning the korean border?

why do we have troops in over a 100 countries

  • Sry, I haven't seen anything from Ron Paul regarding Private contractors. Could you point me to a source? As for Gravel, it's in his legislation regarding withdrawal of forces and it includes denying funding to privately run military action (Blackwater et al.).

  • kliide, he wants a noninterventionist foreign policy.

blackwater is very definately part of an interventionist foreign policy please see.

  • Go Gravel Go! Kickin Ass and taking names as a civilian! Imagine what he could do as president. I hope that he gets more coverage by the time elections come around, he could easily steal the Democratic vote from the other candidates.

  • mike is either a genius

or i'm just not accustomed to a politician being so logical

  • STOP AND THINK

LOL that should be his campaign slogan.

    K U C I N I C H / G R A V E L 2 0 0 8

    Kucinich/Gravel 2008

  • i dig that

i'd definitely buy a gravel shirt

    "stop and think"

    that's awesome

    good call

  • Booya! This is the kind of man we we need in office. Now if he can take on AIPAC with the same directness we may finally get our asses out of the middle east.

  • Nice to hear someone who can think..to hell with the neocon devils! Tell it like it is Mike!!

  • go mike go!

  • stop and think

  • We wonder why Hillary won't step up and stop the war? Because she's profiting from it. How many other democrats in neo-con clothing can we find?

  • Gravel Rocks!

  • I like Mike!!!

  • gravel da man. he;s the only one that can beat ron paul

  • stop and think

  • I know. I love that. He says it all the time; haha.

  • damn fuckin straight

  • I think what Mike means is that he wants Generals that are free thinking rational level headed down to earth opposite of Idealogically neo right, blow the world to hell till there Jesus comes types.

  • go mike/ paul 08/

  • Hell yeah. Not going to happen though.

  • Kucinich/Gravel 2008!

  • i like gravel, but in this interview he makes no sense. he says he is not gonna elect generals that say yes to whatever the white house says, and says if he was president he will elect generals that will pull out the troops, isnt that going with what the white house says if he is president? idk sometimes gravel doesnt make sense.

  • What he means is that, if the generals disagree, they can speak their opinion openly and can discuss their views and propositions, not necessarily to just disagree and not follow the white house's orders. I can understand how it sounds confusing, but Gravel wants leaders to feel free to take initiative. It is true that it opens up risks, but if we want freedom of speech and opinion, we need to take the responsibility and consequence. Hope that clears it up.

  • so if his general say we should stay in iraq, gravel will allow them to stay? He wont do that. The reason presidents elect generals is to push their agenda and that is the only reason. Bush wont have a general that wants a troop withdrawel and gravel wont have a general that wants troops there. So how can the general speak their mind. They are speaking the presidents mind.

  • Generals who arent trying to suck Bush's dick to make Joint chief dont agree that we should be there. Those are the types of generals he wants.

  • so he is electing generals that do what GRAVEL'S White house wants. Thats what i am saying. Thats why presidents elect generals. Gravel wouldnt stand for generals that want troops in iraq, so he is electing generals that would match his AGENDA. Thats why i dont get what gravel said in this video.

  • I love Mike Gravel, though I support Richardson, Gravel is a good candidate. Richardson is also saying we need to get troops out now, w/in 6 months and get a muslim peace-keeping force to keep the peace

  • Strong interview, no fear mongering retoric, how refreshing! Watch Zeitgeist the Movie!!!!

  • I may not agree with all his views, but I admire him for telling the truth at not being corrupted by politics. I support Ron Paul for the same reason, but I also agree with him on majority of the issues.

  • Great interview Mike! Hold their feet to the fire. I hope you make it to a ticket I can vote for in 2008.

  • Very good performance. Good statement on the sycophants in uniform. Good statement on Iran, Saudi, Syria, Japan, China, the rest of the world helping to pick up the pieces in Iraq. And of course the best observation of all : the occupation is the problem, not the solution. And Mike was very relaxed and in complete control.

  • there is a joke in farsi which says there is this ugly man trying to quiet an infant.. giving it whatever he thinks might be helpful; swinging it, singing for it, you name it and it didn't work. a passerby sees this situation and says to the man "hey, the kid is afraid of YOU! just let it go and it'll be OK!!"

  • thats the coolest thing ive heard....buy MIKE GRAVEL t-shirts everyone...get this man seen....dont let this man pass america by...he wont get another chance...america wont get another chance....

  • nice going mike

  • The thing that most Americans DON'T DO........"stop & think".....inquire, analyze, act.

  • mike gravel/ron paul 08!

  • i thought i was the only one who liked those 2 candidates.

  • i'm sure there are others....u just gotta know where to look

  • I wish he would stop cutting off his own statements with "stop and think". It's somewhat disconcerting when he's on the verge of making a point and suddenly goes off on another idea.

  • It's actually a very advanced neuro-linquistic technique.

  • I love you Gravel.

  • good job at cutting through the BS once again!

  • I look forward to witnessing him speak at the Democratic Convention in 2008. As a voice in the Presidential campaign on the Democrat's side he's earned it.

  • god damn it why isnt this ountry funding this mans canadacy??!!! Hillar doesnt have nothin on this guy

  • "What will happen? Im not sure, but I do know this: The insurgency is successful because the population sustains that insurgency.. period!" -Mike Gravel

  • the dems currently in power are a bunch of pussies... aka hillary clinton. Kucinich is the only one who had the balls to say it as it is from the start of the iraq invasion. we need to stop this war because its a waste of money, and a waste of life. fuck all those retarded conservative bastards who think they know what they're talking about, they don't even believe in evolution... these people are simply retarded

  • I wouldn't be surprised if Al Quaeda is actually funded and supported by the CIA...

  • Well some say they are helping them disrupt and dismantle the Iranian Shiite government since Al Qaeda is a radical Sunni organization.

  • Al Qaeda is only 5% of the fighting/insurgents in Iraq. Shia Iraqis would never allow Al Qaeda to take over.

  • Gravel again blasts through the bs.

  • Kucinich/Gravel YOU ROCK DUDE!!!!

  • Here is the headline from the New York Times on the day this video was made: Bomb Levels Section of Iraqi Village, Killing 105.

  • he's sadly right that the democrats currently in power could actually do something if they wanted to
