Loud & raw and fun, but it would have been better with the right words. I know that Dave & the boys are huge Cheap Trick fans, and that is why this was probably a spur of the moment thing. The Marilyn Manson MTV 2001 New Years Eve version is a kick ass version also on youtube. Green Day does a good version too. Love me some Cheap Trick! Peace.

Before anyone else gets too critical about this performance, please keep in mind that it was done in a small banquet hall in order to help raise money for a local nursery school. The Foo Fighters not only performed at this function, but also donated VIP tickets to an upcoming show, an autographed guitar, and numerous other Foo Fighter merchandise items. They also sat, ate, drank and partied with the fundraiser attendies. This was one FUN feel good show!

Well, I like Foo Fighters but this is not a very good cover... I agree with whoever said it would be nice if they knew the words, and Green Day really does a better cover of this, as do others. But, hey... why settle for a cover when you can still hear Cheap Trick doing this song, live, in any number of videos on YouTube? Nobody kicks ass like Cheap Trick... still the best f---ing rock band you'll ever see.
