  • Your helmet doesn't look too safe :P

  • Should have taken his squiddly ass to the track instead

  • Lol he never let go of biek

  • Did anything happen to the bike, wondering how much the stunt cage protected the body...

  • Ha! Not laughing at the crash.... it's just too funny that you refused to let go of the bike!!!

  • WELL AT LEAST YOU GOT PROOF THAT U DID FALL OFF WHEN I FALL OFF NO1 BELEIVES ME :) (MOTORCROSS BY THE WAY)

  • I had to watch one of them a few times, i thought for a second your helmet came off, turns out it was just a bag or something but i was like what the fuck for a moment there.

  • Should ride bulls, get a nice paycheque for holding on that tight. (Obviously so it didn't start going end over end?)

  • @08GSXR600WHT no mix between rookie mistake and not wanting it to go over the cliff=)

  • who duck taped your hand to grip or was it glue? lol nice crash looked good but shame because of the stunt cages caused it

  • why did you hold on to your bike?

  • Did you jack you hand up from holding on to the grip? Looks like it dug in good once it got in the gravel...

  • good job holdin on tho man haha like your bike to except that its kawasaki

  • Way to hang the fuck on DS 83! Riding it out till the end!

  • I love it DS... Inside DS's head when he lowslided "I'm not letting go baby dont worry" *Superman Grips it" XDDD

  • Lmao at the death grip what was running through your head that made you hold on? hahhah

  • @suppaman12 first time out with the cage on trying to drag knee- i'd taken it over plenty of times before- and i never thought the cage would scrape...-obviously i was wrong

  • stay away from that center line on your left handers ....... I almost met a mirror on a on coming car who was riding the line on teir side!

  • aaah shit i watched some of your other videos and i wondered if you ever fell cuz you know what they say: there are two types of bikers, the ones that fell and the ones that are going to. hope u got back quickly on ur feet. cheers

  • Not sure of if you intentionally didn't let go but you should when to go down, the bike drags you farther.r

  • y am very sorry for you ,y hope you are ok and your bike.

  • I totalled my bike at banner may14 2011. lowside on a right turn. My bike slid to the opposite lane hitting an oncoming vehicle. I did NOT hold on to the bike and that saved my life as i slid 2 feet next to the vehicle. Just my story...

  • why didnt you let go of the bike? haha!

  • Nice leathers.

  • good thing for leathers right?? hope you both made it out ok.

  • Man i really like your suit, i have the M-Tech NKP white and red, but i really like your suit homie! Where u buy it? They sell online and send it to Brazil?? Keep safe bro, excellent vidz!!!!

  • Glad to hear you're OK. LMAO at the death grip/

  • death grip.

  • Same thing happened to my boy at the track. He leaned pretty well into a turn and the cage caught the ground. And that was that. Glad to see you are all good. Keep ridin!

  • i have to ask bro.....Y didnt u let the bike go?

  • i like how you held on through the whole crash. good job man.

  • @thatguru877 damn right!

    tank bag off!

  • Cave man grip

  • your a fucking man fer not letting that thing go.

  • Thats crazy dude!

  • It get him out of the road I've crashed before and let go, I ended up in the middle of oncomeing traffic

  • I dnt get how or why u held on to the handle bar through the whole crash i wud have let go instictivley.

  • i like how you never let go of the bike that was funny as hell hold on for dear life glad your ok keep the vids coming you help out alot of people

  • Omg man! This same thing almost happen to me. I was riding with some buddys on a stunt bike. We were racing up a curvey hill. When we got to the top one of my buddys told me as soon as i get home i better take that engine cage off. I was like well i never get low enough to drag it (im pretty new to riding.) Then on the way back down I got really low and it smacked the ground and almost threw me off. That thing is rusting away outside right now lol. I'll never put it back on again.

  • holding the bike/bike handle can be deadlly..wery good footage dough..

  • Next time when you crash, don't hold the bike. Just let go off it trust me lol.

    :-P

  • balls of steel...Ass of leather! lol

  • He superglued his hand to the grip before riding!

  • @rahorin thats what i was thinking!

  • fuck the leathers, they did what they were made for

aslong as your alright, cuz that cuda been very nasty

  • let go

  • He don't take out the hand from the handle! goin with the bike!!!!

  • Was that the 10R or the 6R?

  • his pride held on to that!!! he probably mitigated some damage to the bike by doing that... o_o

  • TAHTSS A TRUE RIDER! never let go of your bike!

  • you just wouldnt let go of the bike now would you:)? good to hear that you are ok :p

  • Glad you walk away from that. I watched this like 5times and i noticed although everyone says you should have let go the bike. It’s a good thing you didn’t this time. In this case the bike pulled you to safety. It looked like your body would have slip across the incoming traffic and who knows what would have happened. Keep on doing your thing and keep the vids coming.

  • the whole time, were you thinking.... MY BABY!!!! ILL NEVER LET YOU GO!!!!!! good job on that :)

  • holy mother! how the hell did you hold on? LOL that's some crazy shit dude. i've had my share of downs (high and low) in the canyons and i've never ended up where my bike did. you just hear cage touch down..... (shiver)

where is this? i ride the malibu area (old topanga, mulholland, stunt, las virgenes)

this is a good vid! i like Nickgnaime's vid too! glad to see you walked away from this one!

  • it sounds like poor throttle control.

  • Lol u say how gay other people look, yet you wear a skin tight 1 piece

  • I kept waiting for you to let go of the bike, "let go of the bike", but you never did.

  • Glad you walked away from that! Great footage tho'....been watching all your vids on how to do a wheelie. Thanks for all your videos and keep safe!

  • damn you just flat out refused to let go of the bike lol

  • props for holding on haha

  • im glad you ight.

  • surprised you held on though for the first bit, i had a speed wabble going 160 and i barely held it together . oh and i have been watching your wheelie vids and good job on them, there helping alot.

  • AND HE STICKS THE LANDING!!

    **SILENT CLAPPING**

  • Because you held on to the bike ... technically you got more than a knee down, and should have nothing to be embarrassed of.

  • ya when you crash let go of your bike you don't know if the bike is gonna do a flip or not due to the momentum of the crash but glad your okay !!!

  • Main Thing is you are alright lol ... but i swear .. Bra you need to let it go lol ... soooooooo much fun :D watching your hand never come off ... hahahahha .. you are my hero :D

  • why did you hold to your bike

  • dude.....you never let go lol thats awsome!!!!!!!! and its cool that your all good to lol

your vids are sick man. keep it up!! hopfully ill be able to put some on hear soon.

  • lol how the fuck u held on to that i will never know HAHAHAHAHA

  • Sorry about the double posts.

  • Erm... dude! I don't think I'm the first to say this in the comments (haven't read them all), but when you do go down, for god's sake (or your sake) ABANDON SHIP!!! Let go of the bike! :)

  • Erm... dude! I don't think I'm the first to say this in the comments (haven't read them all), but when you do go down, for god's sake (or your sake) ABANDON SHIP!!! Let go of the bike! :)

  • Holy fuck dude.. and u didnt let go.....

  • Im not an expert but wouldnt it have been a good idea to let go of the bike in this situation instead of holding on to it?

  • Wow you kept hanging on to that handle bar ! I hope you didn't get hurt.

  • T least u didnt go as a squid. I like how u never let go of ur baby.....looks like a gsxr, poor thing.

  • Man, you should go into bull riding! For the love of God, you didn't let go of that left side bar. Next time let go though man. It's easier to stop yourself from going over the grade or getting wedged under a guardrail if you are just stopping your own body weight. Bummer on the lowside, but glad all is cool with you. Cool vid, thanks for sharing.

  • for that reason i purchased the racing rails:] not the cage

  • @kai6bair1 good choice

  • @downshift83 i've seen u in italy showing how to do wheelies;) on youtube;):

  • dude for reall at least u aint a dumbass riding with no gear but props on your riding

  • damn!!!well atleast the bike and the dude is ok,nice footage

  • On the height and weight subject. Im 6'2" and 210. Would i need a 1000 or would a 600 do? Had the same issue with my dirt bike, 250 vs 450.

  • leave go of the bike, hanging on can be fatal especially in head-on's, ride safe

  • Dude you hung onto that fucker like your bikes life depended on it. I was like damn he's still hold onto the bike.

  • Fuck man must of been scary good 2 see ur ok brother keep riding man

  • Crashing sucks, but at least you got some pretty nice footage of it.. Good to hear you're up and running again!

  • good job holding on

  • thank god for leathers

  • you made a crucial mistake ... if you touch the ground and u are sliding already never and i mean never try to hold your bike as u did with one hand..

  • Great video glad you are ok. One thing I have to ask though, is how do you get such good audio quality with your Go Pro. Mine sounds like I dropped it in a blender half the time. My main problem is wind noise. Do you have any suggestions for me on how to fix this.

  • Your body angle is terrible. You are twisting.

Sticking your arse off the bike far too much and keeping your head over the top of the bike.

You need to get over the fear of lowering your head to down by your mirrors.

  • don't let go!

  • didn't even get your knee down before the cage hit. I've learned to use the extra long frame sliders.

  • Damn , your lucky !!!!

  • lmao damn nice welded grip on the bar!

  • that acctually looked like a good idea to hold on to the bike since the bike would end up sliding straight into the gravel instead of your body going in some other direction possibly into on comming traffic

  • that sux but i did notice u held on that whole time only letting go to get up! good stuff bro

  • Good thing the go pro's didnt get jacked up. Those aren't cheap. I'm glad to hear u didnt get messed up on the wash out. It happens to the best of us. Keep tearing it up out there duder. I love ur vids. Ride on brotha!

  • best part is u refusing to let go of that bike man....hope all is good u and the bike

  • haha you really werent gonna let that handlebar go. hope u and the bike are all gd

  • bound to get cut once in a while when balancing on a razorblade....glad ur ok.

  • I went down yesterday. Only had my licence 1 month LOL. I didnt break nothing im just swollen :P

  • best thing after a crash rider ok bike ok thats good to hear

but why did you hold the bike ? you have luck that the bike didnt break your hand

next time better hands off can be dangerous when the bike begins to turn or flip over

  • Actually, even though your crash cage caused that crash, it looks like it probably took the brunt of the slide... I'm sure your bike would be just kooshtie.

  • Glad you're alright.

I'm actually impressed you held onto the bike until it stopped. How did those leathers hold up? I've wanted to buy that since the day I saw it

  • dude you've got a nice ass

  • @svengalie Why thank you=)

  • @svengalie haha true that, i wasnt gonna say anything, but damn!

  • @svengalie dude wtf r u gey?

  • @svengalie Quit bein gay sven.

  • @svengalie haha trust you sven

  • Glad you're ok. How's your bike?

  • @micmv up and running

  • two types of riders ones that have gone down and ones that are going down!!

  • @NOBODYEATS yea...that was #4=)

  • I dont know you that well but i sure im a fan of all your videos my heart just dropped man omg are you ok bro ????

  • @PabloAlonzo48 perfect=)

  • just got cut off riding my 07 zx10r special edition OUCH!!!

  • Man if this can happen to downshift it can happen to anyone. You were grabbing handfulls of throttle even while being dragged halfway unconcious. Even in your low sided state you were pushing your engine to the limit. You sir are a bad ass. . Just want to know if your first words after you regained conciousness in a set of totaly rashed leathers were "Is my bike alright?"

  • @mattercyclist Actually that is the clutch hand that he is hanging onto. Watch the rear gopro and you should pic that up. Glad all is well. Ive yet to put down my cbr but Im sure it will happen eventually. For those of you that ride without gear, let this be a lesson learned of just what that gear can do for you.

  • hey man, what cage did you have? thanks

  • Luckily no cars, no trees, no fences when you crash...

  • wow that really sucks!! at least you were wearing leathers!

  • rest in peace

  • First, your helmet came off! Whew. I'm so glad you're okay, downshift! That was a nailbiter. Second, I envy your leathers. It's the same suit I want so bad.. but they don't come in women's sizes. :-( I crashed wearing Fieldsheer, too, though. Textile, but held up handsomely.

I am so glad you're alive to ride again. Rubberside down, friend!

  • @lauriejennifer, phew, that footage scared me for a sec. It wasn't his helmet that came off, looks like he had a backpack on the tank that flew off (luckily).

    Glad you're OK downshift.

  • note to self have hot girl on back when using the ass cam!

  • Dam that sucks dude!! Good to hear your ok. Yea take that cage off.

  • Bro. I know you like getting that knee down as much as you like puttin' it up on one, but when ur runnin' the twisties.. run proper lines through them, that way when you hear a lil' scrape, scrape you don't get rattled cause u have enough room to adjust slightly up and still hold your corner....Glad to hear your alright Downshift, keep wearing those leathers!

  • Wow, way glad you were ok and were wearing full leathers!

  • Nice gloves dude!

  • Got all the fancy gear then? :)

  • Got all the fancy gear then? :)

  • Dude when the heck were you gonna let go of the bike? Glad you're ok. Good thing you had on your turtle suit!

  • ouch Man I am so sorry :( next time take off the hands

  • Hope you're ok DS

  • HA HA!!!

  • dang bro now ur bike matches mine im sure too bad about the new leathers. they were sick.

  • i'm thinking about getting into riding a bike but i think i'm to tall and heavy i'm 6,3 and 190lbs could i ride bikes or no like i'm not going to be doing any cray stuff like this

  • @squidman101 nah-your fine-I'm 6'2 and weigh more than you

  • @downshift83 sweet thank you buddy

  • @squidman101 hahaha im 6'7! and i ride! i weigh waay more than you and i can get my bike MOVING and its only a 600

  • Damn ! I think you can say thanks to your leather tracksuit because it makes you fine and not really hurt. (Sorry for the bad english, Iam french ;) )

  • I saw another video of a guy who put after market fixed footpegs... the kind that don't bend. Well he took a corner hard too and the peg scraped and similar outcome.

  • If anybody knows the name of the track and artist in the beginning of the video, please tell me. Thanks!

  • Everybody are giving you advices put the truth is the rider knows best what went wrong. It is too late when you realise it but ... the most important is that you are ok. The bike can be fixed! Will you make a video showing the damages?

  • Show us the bike after the crash. What are the damages? Has the cage actually protected the bike?

  • omfg..there goes the new leathers...... btw i am impressed you kept your cool like that after goin down!!

  • Hahaha, thats the trademark MotoGP Valentino Rossi 'ass view'

  • same thing happened to me with my cage. glad to see u were geared up and good tho.

  • If that was my bike I probably wouldn't let go either... I once crashed my ZX6R and didn't let go until the very last second when I was hitting the motorway barrier. I was more concerned about the bike than myself LOL

  • Whats the damage?? Is it bad??

  • @mrbakebean info box. read.

  • oh.... shit, well at least the cage protected it from any major damages, hopfully!

  • Twisted ! ( ;

  • omg im sorry downshift, ive heard of that happening before with the cage scraping. race rails might be a better bet in the future. hopefully your bike is alright

  • death grip ... nice...

  • well that sucks

  • Big advert for wearing the right gear.

It is amazing you can hear it hit the ground just before you go down. Did you get any footage from behind from the other guys? That would be very interesting to watch.

Good to see you are OK.

  • Damn bro! I'm glad you're okay. I love your vids and watched every wheelie instructional vid you have. Unfortunately for me on my 5th wheelie I went 12 oclock and panicked. I layed it down, took out a pole on the side of the highway. I didn't have correct gear on and my shoe was 30 yards behind where i stopped. Luckily i stayed on the bike til the end and just scraped the ground. I was wondering where you got ur leather suit?

  • glad you're ok! Very decent footage, Very good footage from the gopro's. any footage. Really seemed you had the grip angle and the front tire just gave way

  • Aww, gutted for you man, I know when i wrecked the feeling after was like "what the fuck did i do??" Glad you had your gear.

  • lol and i asked u befor in a eailer vid can u still take corners with the crash cage

  • @dsgtjordan oh i can still take corners...just not drag knee=)

  • holy crap dude, hope your allright....

  • Damn man! That is seriously messed up! I had the same thing today. Lowside crash and the bike hit the curb. Right clip on is broken, fairings are messed up, footpeg broke off, rim of the backwheel broke. And probably a lot more:(

Luckily I don't have anyting and my leather suit has some scratches. Luckily insured all risk so it is all covered.

  • lol at all the people explaining how to best crash on your bike...

  • yo dman i feel ur pain but at least u lowside i highside cuz of my 905 cage my bike fliped i fucked up my bike nasty and i fucked my leg up now i go to fix my tank my fairings my clip on my lever and front end hope you good tho

  • At least he looked unharmed after the crash! Hope your ok dude!

  • ow that must suck you just get those leathers then you go down and tear them up. o well they must have helped a lot. any vids to come soon of you and your bike

  • Yay gear. and you kept good form in the slide.

  • I was just thinking "Dude, let go of the effin bike" i thought it was just dragging you about, but you don't think like that in those instances do you? So happy you're alright though mate, Leathers did there job! Get back out there soon ;)

  • you ok man that did not look to bad but i know it was not good
