  • One of my favorite songs by Chopin. You did it justice ^^

  • Just from watching you play this I have fallen in live with you. Lol. Your incredible.

  • watch?v=nc7KHoiI47c

  • wow! it it simply just so beautiful and serene. (:

  • This seems to be Chopin's most famous piece. Nice work here btw.

I have some nocturnes up on my own youtube site, they're not chopin, but i think you might like them (hint: they're for guitar)

  • Very well played. It's beautiful.

  • very nice!

  • The audio on this video sounds suspiciously similar to a record being played that has a minor scratch on the surface.

    I'm just sayin'

  • Amazing

  • you play with heart....Bravo! the sound of the microphone is not so good...need to be focused more on the piano i guess....

Please don't take it the wrong way...I enjoy how you play just want to enjoy the sound of you even more....thanks

  • Woah when u were 10?! I'm 14 and ive been playin for 3 1/2 years and I'm just learning it now!

  • pretty. so awesome that you learned it at 10 :]

  • Comment removed

  • very good.

  • well done!!...

  • I'm learning how to play this as well. =)

  • I always need to watch this specific video for some inspiration. I've been playing piano on my own for over a year now, but I never really learned how to do some of the technical stuff properly... specifically the trills (mine stink! =(). Anyway, always enjoy your video..s. Thanks!

  • Very nice, I love this..

  • Wow! 5 stars!

    Your pianist friend!

    Karl ;)

  • nicely done! any where you can get the sheet music for free?

  • I adore this song by anyone,I found the final Glissando (is that right?) beautiful.

  • yknow i dont support most teens who are super good technically at piano like you (except you're still better than like 99.99% of them) BUT, you really feel the music which is rare, too rare these days =[[. jeeze. when you become a professional concert pianist, don't forget me!

  • hahah aww thanks :) yeahh, i won't forget you!! ;p pshh if i ever go pro... @___@

  • dude you totally will. you got the technical talent, the musical talent, the asian-ness (LOL) and, may i add, the muh-she-suh -ness PUAHA do you have big hands btw? you seemed to reach those octaves well in mendehlsson <- failed spelling

  • Mendelssohn* :)

No, I can barely reach a 9th. The fact that I can handle octaves decently is because I practice.

  • AHAHa. aw man i'm the opposite. i sight read realyl well and learn quickly, but get lazy with practicing. i've never even "mastered" a piece before. and me, i have pretty big hands. rachmaninoff = my favorite to play on piano ;D

  • LOL, I LOVE sightreading as well. The thing that I excell at the most in music. :D But other than that.. _ _;;

Hahaha, I love Rachmaninoff, but I'd have a hell of a hard time playing it. :P

  • puaha. of course >] even i can't reach some of those notes. it's like GAH WTF KIND OF MONSTER HANDS DID YOU HAVE. duddee upload more classical music =[. and yes, high five for sight reading >] come to LA and lets play rachmaninoff's toughest piano duet: Suite No. 2, mvt 4.

  • At my piano camp, my friend played that two piano duet with Christopher O' Riley, who is the host of one of the most popular radio shows on the classical station, called "From The Top". It was an amazing performance I got to hear. :DDDD

I THINK it was that one... >____> I could be wrong :D

  • let me just say I just had a piano jury for this piece, and I had to memorize it (disaster). nevertheless, I got it memorized, but all I want to say to you right now is why can't I be you?????

  • About the time signature. By-the-book, it is 12/8 with an "andante" tempo of 132! Played against a metronome and it sounds flat and rushed. Pianists like Arrau and Rubinstein play with rubato (too much at times) which I guess makes it sound like a waltz. I like your version, a little faster but not bad. Well done! Attention to slurs make a big difference in this case I think.

  • youve played your way into my heart! keep up the greatness your doing beautifully!

  • Moar Classical Piano vids of you plox~ :)

  • It's funny, this nocturne sounds an awful lot like a waltz. lol Very lovely playing though

  • Maybe because this song is in 3/4 time signature. XD

  • I don't know about yours, but my version is in 12/8.

  • LOL wow how did I miss that one, my bad. XD

  • uh...its in 12/8 time sorry...

  • 12/8 sweety ;)

  • it's my fave song too. Chopin is the greatest! LOL. and yeah you did it fast but it was great

  • u play very nice but i suggest tha u play a little bit more slower and put more feeling ....

  • wow.

so far you're the best pianist i've seen.

    :)

  • wow.

so far you're the best pianist i've seen.

    :)

  • That was really beautiful. This is one of my very favorite pieces of music. You played it quite beautifully. Thank you.

  • Happy late birthday!

    lol

Im learning this song, and I love the way you play it! Even if it is faster than most, no Chopin performance will ever be the same xD It's so flexible

  • beautifully played. well done

  • what grade is Nocturne in E-flat major Op. 9 No. 2? ....hope for respond..

  • I don't know the grade myself, nor do I particularly care about it because it doesn't mean anything to me... According to adam5867, it's grade 9-10.

  • i dont think this counts as ten...im much lower than that xD and i have no trouble playing it =]

i think its more like 6...

  • wow, I'm playing this right now and it is taking me forever! i play it about 10 times slower, ha. you play it beautifully! I have a jury coming up, can i be you??

  • helloz! what grade is this for? is it really tough? thanks! :)

  • Grade 9 - 10

  • Like someone else already said, this song is all about timing, and you played it beautifully.

  • bravo beatiful played now how about slowing down a bit?

  • Yeah, I realized it I played a bit fast. My bad.

  • Well played. Great job.

  • I'm really sensitive when it comes to timing... and the timing here was sooo flawless omg it felt so GOOD to hear you nail it. ...that is, of course, imo.

  • Thank you for your opinion. :)

  • you perform very well.i really appreciate...thanks

  • I love the way you play it, this piece is one of my favorites. The right hand is easy but playing it with the left is very hard. how long have you been studying piano?

  • For over 10 years now.

  • I love Chopin and you played this piece beautifully.

  • no tok bn no esta bn balanceada la obra, a cada rato sube la velocidad y no la mantiene al mismo tempo

  • wish i could also play chopin's piano pieces unfortunately i'm a violinist not a pianist.. haha

  • oh my goodness. beautifully done. fab.

  • wow! very nice. i love chopin..

    hmmm...i was just wonderin...

    are you amy hayashi-jones?

  • No. o__o

  • hey that was nice! i love chopin.. i saw this video thru your "kiss the rain", fantasie-imprpotu in c sharp minor is my favorite chopin's piece though.. could you play that also? anyway... nice tones! love it ^_^

  • Yes, I played that song back in 6th grade ^^

  • haha i asked her to play that song as well :)

I'm learning it now and it is very difficult. It is an AR level piece O_o

  • i really envy you, hope one day i would play just like you do!!!!

  • Applause! .. the way you touch those keys.. really cool and sensitively!

  • I LOVE how you play! :D Its so nice! I wish that I could play just like you ^-^

  • Hey slow down!!! Listen to a recording of Arthur Ruebenstien play it... you took it much to fast for my tastes...but good trills...some phrasing issues but a good preformance

  • Yeah, I agree with you - I realized that after watching myself play this. I don't like the way I interpreted this song on this video. But it's alright, whatever anyone says about this, I don't feel like taking it down or redoing it for the matter.

  • well played slightly harsh though

  • You sound good (much feeling) and the piano sounds good...A+ performance.

  • im pretty sure that you caould play the canon if you could play this...because with ur skill u can play anytin....sooo good...i sk at da piano ㅜㅜ...

  • I LOVE THIS SONG~

Classics are good once in a while.

Have you ever tried moonlight sonata or Canon?

    -OwaranaisLaVe

  • Yes, of course. Moonlight Sonata.. first movement I played when I was 8. 2nd and 3rd movement was played when I was about 12 or 13, I can't quite remember.

  • aw thnx :)

u don't have to i can find it easily (i think) lol

just hope i can play it ^_^

sometimes i just need to b in the right mood to learn these xD

  • hmmmm....i thought chopin's name is supposed to be fryderyk???

  • Maybe you thought wrong. :P I'm not sure, there could be other ways to spell his name.. but everyone knows him by Frederic.

  • lol...i checked it up on answers dot com....his name has a lot of ways to spell it...lol....oops my mistake....XD

  • Answer (I did a lot of research on Chopin recently): Chopin is half French (via his dad) but he was born and raised in Poland for the first half of his life. That's if your wondering about his last name being French (the Polish way to write his name, used rarely even by Poles, was Szopen). He then moved to Paris for the next half of his life (approx. 19 years) and changed his name to the French spelling, Frederic Chopin, and adopted a completely French lifestyle.

  • Real nice :D

  • chopin.. cool!! and hey tEhrXXz0r.. Korean Child Prodigy...wahahaha~~ wada nice title xD

  • This sounds so relaxing. Great job!!

  • wow you're right this piece is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! =O nicely played

  • Hm.

Did you play it faster than the normal tempo?

  • I probably did, but like I said, I was only sightreading this again since I haven't played it for a very long time.

  • Hahaha

    Well, it doesn't matter.

    It's still very pretty..

This was the first song I played when I started piano.

    Hahaha, at around 9. ^^;;

  • Yeahh, I believe this was one of the many songs that inspired me to love Chopin like I do now today. :)

  • Hahaha.
