  • I have this on 12'

  • @dirtyhabitz666 Me too! Vinyl Rocks....

  • i love how this video was recorded off of MTV... My how the times have changed..... House4Life _CHICAGO_

  • you just never get bored listening to great club sounds like this.defo a golden era the late eighties i think my freinds

  • memories!!! love house music!

  • cant agree more jasonb1969 im 45 and still playing house music

  • This is a great House Music track which I remember from 1987 when I was just 17 years old.

I am now 42 but this track still sounds good. The other two House Music tracks I do remember from that time are House Arrest by Krush & House Nation by House Master Boyz and the Rude Boy Of House.

  • A masterpiece indeed.

  • 1987

  • If this isnt ultimate house. then please tell me what is.but i will call u insane

  • probably the only record of this genre i ever bought,,,what a goddamn tune though.

  • he will get the rest of the money when he has finished building my porch

  • totally agree with ShoeiBoy.. it started for me back in the 80's. Excellent track which still sounds as awesome now as it did then.

listen to Rok da House - Beatmasters for even more memories ....

  • Oh man. Take me back to the good times. Just gotta loves 80s house and this is one killer track thats as fresh today as it was in 87/88.

  • when MTV played music...

  • b4 dance/house lost its way, sweet!! :o)

  • MTV was so good in beginning 90-95. They showed all greatest hits of the 70s and 90s. Party zone, music non stop, greatest hits

  • sounds great on a good night-club sound rig.

  • classic

  • dated, uless you are over 50, this tune is old, but to us 40's this was our weekend, firday & saturday, pubs shut at 11pm, all we had was the clubs that shut @ 2am, you think you got it hard, we had to get pissed, and dance in half the time you got now

  • @KnowPorcelain1 unlucky i was posted in germany at the time and the nightclubs where open till 6am, and if u didnt pull there the was always the house of yvonne which was a brothel just outside camp oh the good days:)

  • @KnowPorcelain1

You may laugh but Great Yarmouth had pubs that stayed open until 2am; Divers, Brunswick, Taras(!) & Monroes (there may have been others). Furthermore, The Waterfront in Norwich had a 6am license in 1992 ! I stayed there that late once. Was SO knackered!

  • Cripes I was in my final year of secondary school when this was out. Reached number 6 in the UK I think. Anyway - brings back memories even if it does sound pretty damn dated now.

  • 1988 i buy a tape.this was one of the tracks on it.

    memories...

  • Dance never ages!

  • @myluna45

Oh, some of it does. Some of it doesn't.

  • We didn't need mp3's back then when you could fit a whole 90 minutes of music on a TDK c90 cassette.

  • TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNE :) I wouldn't surprised if this makes a comeback

  • TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNE :)

  • Still sounds good to me.

  • Jack 'N' Chill were Vlad Naslas and Ed Stratton (not FSOL as one wrote).

Ed Stratton later made music under the name "Man Machine" and the Zero-G sample CDs (the world's first dance music sample CDs).

  • this is fucking radical

  • Was the wireframe walker thing from the game Starglider? (what a great track)

  • Still got the 12 " played it the other day yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BANGIN snares and claps and bassline...

  • agree with all the comments below. Im 38 and this is still fresh :)

  • House Music started in Chicago in he late 70's.

  • @mokkajava2

House music started in Chicago in the early 1980s, actually. A lot of it was dependent on the new music technology going on sale in the early 1980s.

  • fuck this takes me back to begining of high school in the 80's been hunting for all the old school lol

  • Thanks!

  • Pop Will Eat Itself.

  • 40 YEAR OLD NO DECKS NO IDEA LOVING LIFE BUT THIS WAS THE NUTS HOUSE MUSIC AND OLD SKOOL HIP HOP HANDS IN THE AIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Such a very clever title !

  • From here on, the UK made (for that is) some amazing dance music.

  • @MrSidRocker The yanks invented it in 86, we had perfected it by 88 and your right no one has ever made better house music than us!

  • @drbobwillcunow agreed house music was started in detroit in 86 but we brits perfected it in late 87:)

  • @martoksneghvar hehe agreed mate

  • This tune started it all off for me. Proper life-changer.

25 years on (almost) and nowt much has changed.

Bit more dosh, bit less hair, still raving like a bastard :o)

    Here's to the next 25.

  • @ShoeiBoy - same here pal - 1986 - just turned my head when this came on - Chicago house !!

  • @ShoeiBoy keep on raving dude!

  • @dogchoon Yeah me too mate, 1986, 14 yr old with a mixer with no headphone socket, one deck, and one tape recorder.......... No idea!!!!!!!!! but sounded wicked at the time!!! those are the dayz.

  • @BruvaBob still sounds wickid Bob...makes me grin every time man...

    ;)

  • It sounds like the demo of one of the budget yamaha PSR keyboards.

  • @MusicalArmageddon Please tell me which PSR keyboard you've heard that sounds like this I'd buy it in an instant. I have the PSS 570 myself, great keyboard but doesn't sound anything like this.

  • listened to this tune.........some stuff happened.........ive never been the same....nice

  • One of the best House tunes ever !

  • It's difficult to find this on CD right now. Thanks for this upload.

  • Anyone knows how this particular genre of music from the late 80s early 90s is called ?

  • @greoar techno & rave

  • @greoar It's house. The clue is in the name of the track.

  • @thesourceenforcer So that's "Jack House" ? Thanks.

    Any link, History, facts ?

  • @greoar this is house altought i think its more italo house you can search for it and find some albums with great tracks

  • my dad loves this genre of music and he used to play it all the time wen i was little i used to ask him to play this one over and over again, memories :)

  • I am on a never ending journey to find the perfect beat. Just leaving my footprint.

  • It supposed to be house but sounds more like a newbeat. Anyway, it's a cool track:)

  • I bought the 12 inch version of this on vinyl when I was back at college - awesome!

  • Just great sound of 80's...timeless!

  • reminds me of my sister in Bristol UK 1987!

  • @lucyspoon reminds me of your sister too ha ha

  • Love this, so many memories, would never get air time today when it is all about style over substance.

  • when was house music on mtv? how did i miss that? lol

  • @saburoemon back in the 80s if a house tune got into the charts then it got airplay on totp / mtv. Fond memories!

  • @saburoemon Remember Mr C shouting " E's are good" at the nations's youth on BBC1 primetime Top of the Pops?? Still makes me laugh when I think of it. Maybe it explains my penchent for veras:)

  • @TheSpoovy hahahahahahaha, i'm american so i missed out on that little bit of television history there, but i know richard and i can totally picture him doing do that! hahahaha, effin' priceless!

  • @saburoemon

only rich people had sky or cable back then, i didn't know anyone who did and i lived in a rich area.

  • i had cable in 86-7 sky was just music vids with amanda reddington(hope the name is right) just brought my house(so v poor) already in there 15 pound for six months

  • From the time when MTV was short for MUSIC TELEVISION...not like today..with all kinds of I-want-my-15-minutes-of-fame reality shows......

  • its good for listening on gym.

  • Chooooon! Wish I was back there. Being in my late teens just as how music was surfacing was a true blessing.

  • Thats the H.O.U.S.E right there @ 0:16 - 0:31 That segment always blew me away...Still loving the house sound 24 years later...

  • just chuffed to know theres people out there who care as much as i do about the late 80s early 90s. had the best time ever!

  • Do you know what folks,I fookin hated the manchester rave scene,WHY?what the fook has that got to do with Chicago,Detroit Techno, manchester killed the rave scene thats a fact folks...

  • Definately one of the best pre acid house tunes. Love it!

  • i was a at a club in Manchester earlier this yr & i asked the dj if he had this tune & various other acid house gems, voodoo ray, pacific, energy flash you get the picture yeah! his reply "wots acid house i only play funky house" i laffed & told him 2 get his coat! he was only about 17 tho but he thought he was a superstar dj! madchester acid house forever!

  • @andrewt008 - LOL to be fair though acid house had a very short lifetime. That phrase was soon dropped for "rave".

  • @RobDeManc yeah but if ur into dance mucic & care about it in any way then the term "acid house" should be familiar to you!? there was another guy in the toilet lookin at a pic of Shaun William Ryder sayin "whos this bloke"? "whats this hacienda night all about"!? In fuckin Factory!!!!! Different generation i suppose? i still care about 88 to 91 in club land & im sure u do as well?

  • @andrewt008 Ok yeah I agree. If he wants to be a DJ he needs to know the history. Not knowing what the Hacienda was is unforgivable. They should watch 24 Hour Party People. I care very much about 88-92. Without those days my life would have been very different.

  • got this on 7" © 1987 10 Records Ltd.

  • wasn't this written by the same guys who were FSOL?

  • 1986 - 1989 in my view was probably the best year for ground breaking beat.

  • What MTV was this on? WHEN???

    Thanks for this!

  • @JEDI7ACEN in those days there was only one MTV channel!! :o)

  • I wish i could build a house as fast as that guy ;)

    Great tune .

  • Takes me back to 1987. Correct me if im wrong! Top Tune!

  • @SHECALLSMEGONZO u are correct, this was originally released in 1987 but missed the top 40, it was re-released in january 1988 and hit about number 6 jan/feb 1988

  • Wow, I've just been time warped back to 1988. If anyone else is feeling nostalgia by this track, search for: Krush- house arrest. I was in luv with Ruth Joy in my teens, sooo long ago :-)

  • I LUUURVED this in 1988/89.

A Music program rage used to play this ALL the time and I used to watch the video OVER and OVER on my vhs like nobody's bussiness!

  • Hello can anyone tell me which album was this super classic song taken from please? Thanks a lot people. I know its a 1988 superhit of Jack N Chill a London housemusic trio.

  • It was probably only released on 12" vinyl. that'd be my guess. You can find an MP3 online I'm sure though, just look around. I found one on a blog.
