i hope u know tht there not triplets there just a eighth note and two sixteenth notes but good cover i think your the only one who covered this song on youtube
Steve has a "clack" to his playing that is generated from a strong treble plus his strings hitting the fretboard...and he plays by the bridge, which tends to increase treble. It is part of his play style. I have a similar click, but it is not generated the same way. Mine comes from a bass with a natural strong attack plus I strike the strings very hard over the pickup, also, I do not leave my right hand fingers on the string to muffle in-between notes.
thanks a lot ...harris is my idol..cud u take a shot at rare ones like "judas be my guide" from FOTD and post it for us pls...terrific playing again !!
Three notes played in rapid succession, followed by a space. The effect is to create a sound like a galloping horse. Think the theme song to the Lone Ranger.
these aren´t actually triplets.. these rhythm consists of an eighth and two sixteenths, that´s why the first note of the "triplet" is a bit longer... real triplets consist of three notes generally the same "length" on a single beat...
oh no. u gave it a primus punch. les just has this hard knock sound that u can only get by playin alot of primus songs. if listen to the band guys u will kno wat i mean.
Again another tune I didn't care for. You made watchable and listenable.....Thanks dude......How about Ryme of the Ancient Mariner, my favourite Maiden song
Yes, she plays, and pretty good, I might add (I can't do ANYTHING she does on piano). However, she thinks she sucks and has stage fright like you would not believe, so I am afraid youtube will never see her play.
You have a great week, too, Ale.
For everyone else, check out Ale's channel for some great sketching to music. He's fast and talented as hell!
See Rob, everytime you play a Maiden tune I seem to like it ever more! I always just thought this was an okay song, but now it ROCKS! Keep rockin' my friend. \m/
I bought "No Prayer for the Dying" back when it came out, and I swear I went through the album thinking "this blows!". Then this song began, and I was totally into the Maiden groove! If it were not for this tune, I probably would have shelved Maiden forever. That is all it takes for me is one crappy album and I dub the band played-out until I hear otherwise.
Ah, missed this one, too. Nice, man! I've been meaning to ask you. What's with the keys on the background? are they yours? are you ever gonna make a keyboards-playing video? Cause that would rule.
lol I try to play subdivisions on my keyboard sometimes (And I'm not that horrible at it, but it's nowhere near videoworthy). Every day I just think "Geddy's so much better than me at everything..."
LOL. It is rare that I upload a video on a different day than I shoot it, but yesterday I took so much time trying to synch up a collaboration project for Greet the Sacred Cow that my wife got mad at me, so I delayed the upload.
I dunno, actually. It was like that in the bass track, so there was nothing I could do about it but haul out my stuff and shoot it again, and I only had one more song in me....Medieval Overture.
hmm arguably maidens worst (some would claim blazes are worse , id say no ) but a great tune nonetheless ... have you heard their new one - its on par with ssoass and powerslave
Yes, I have a copy of their new one....very good stuff, but I haven't played any of it through the bass (I have to hear a song like a zillion times before I play it).
I like when people put there own twist on covers cause you can tell some fills aren't even i the song and it still sounds great.

They are my wife's. She plays piano. I dink around on it from time to time, trying to play some Rush. I am pretty lame at it, though.

great bass playin' ! ...too bad that all those loud guitars always take the front row in the mix ;-)

Oh I have ways of making 'em move over a bit sound-wise. Guitars never have the wattage the bass players have.
