actually i think he's just about 17 like just turned and Amu is like 13-14 so its only a 4 year difference which is legal besides i don't think Japan has laws like that but i could be wrong,

@Emerald1323 actually when the anime first starts he is only a sophmore, only because she is going into the fifth grade at the beginning and and at the end seventh. He graduates at the end so he was 16 first then at the end 18. so the age is not so bad considering they were in a way together while he was in school. I think they fit very well.
