  • how can someone dislike this video??

  • they talk shit until they are stranded

  • if i knew how to swim and was not scared of the water i would join

  • @33BMX33 Hey, look at it this way we aren't supposed to live for ever. LoL. Seriously not every one does these jobs illustrated here in these many videos while their in the Coast Guard. During my time in the CG I had a "Safety" perhaps unexciting job, but it paid my bills and I still traveled to some exciting places around the world. Frankly I didn't want a heroic job because your chances dying are so much greater.

  • The people at the very top need to wake up. I would have loved to join the USCG, but they'd rather do affirmative action- take people who have a very good chance of being unqualified, over someone like me...who IS qualified, but takes ocd medicine. They think I'll go psycho or something. That's never once happened. No crimes, either. So what about those who smoke and might have a nic-fit? They won't get cranky and go nuts?

  • @Jagnole101 So try your luck with a different recuriter, they can't be all jerks. If you still can't get in maybe it was not meant to be. I agree that affirmative action sucks, Some people got treated better than others when I was in because of that. It should be done away with !

  • The coast guard are the ones who go out when everyone else leaves. Thanks to all to the Coast Guard members. Thank you for risking your lives for us.

  • thumbs up if you think the coast guard doesn't get enough credit

  • @zestfultuba hell ya dude people need to wake up and realize who protecting the fucken country!

  • Very amazing branch, I'm joining the USMC but I grew up with the USCG

  • why are the CG using Honda engines and not an American made engine ??

I have a 9.9 Honda 4 stroke and love it but aren't we proud to be American

    evenrude, mercury, johnson etc... anyone??

  • @negozioderby1 Because they've woken up to the fact that Honda makes a more reliable product! Plus it's on a Gov't contract.

  • When things are at their worst, We are at our best.

  • @njc42292 they don't use blackhawks. They use jayhawks and dolphins as well as several fixed wing aircraft. They might have used them several years ago, but they don't use them anymore.

  • @kat3196 The Jayhawk is the same type of helo as the Blackhawk. It's a specialized version of the Blackhawk adapted for use by the Coast Guard. The Navy's Seahawk is a Navalized version of the Blackhawk family of helocopters.

  • @kat3196 well typically i see blackhawk helicopters take off when i'm at work. had to learn their systems and everything in technical school to get rated because the jayhawk is in fact a blackhawk helicopter..yup same manufacturer and everything and they are still in use well actually i just watched one take off today. you have probabaly already been told this tho :)

  • the coastguard uses blackhawks?

  • wow what happend at 2:22 ps good video

  • the singer of creed(scott stap) is my neighbor i got a picture with him and my friends on halloween

  • they put there life on the line the same as any other soldier...

  • reesman19: Not all Coasties risk their lives performing their jobs. I didn't! I didn't want too be a "Martyr". My motto is live long and prosper. Not die young just too be a hero.

  • @20031200 if the heroes didn't exsist there would be lives lost every day.........

  • WuzUpltzCourtney; Perhaps that's true of heroes. But only one has domain over our lifes (GOD).

  • I'm glad there are coasties that like too perform risky jobs. I for one was not one of them . My desk job was just fine !

  • honor y glory ¡

  • excuse me what the name of the song ?

  • One Last Breath-Creed

  • you all are my hero thanks

  • Como nadador de rescate de la Prefectura Naval Argentina los felicito por su labor y dedicación. Exitos!!!!

  • Thank you.... spent 4 yrs in the uscg...

  • I feel only respect and admiration for these unsung heros of Americas front line. From a Proud Veteran!

  • COAST GUARD IS MARVELOUS <3

  • Say your stuck in the middle of the ocean...high seas...wouldn't it be nice to see that beautiful orange and white chopper come to you and save your ass? Think that one over before you talk shit about the Coast Guard. They are the Guardians of America. And they are always ready- SEMPER PARATUS.

  • Yeah well thats only 10% of that. My friend I have served 7 years and been underway for 5. I called it quits because this organization and their people have no backbone and is way to politically.

  • k9forkids; serving 7 yrs. ain't S--T. And if you didn't like all the sea duty you should have picked a better rate. When you've done your 20yrs. you may have the right too bitch.

  • it would be great

  • @Movieman88773 Well said! Many never appreciate us until it's too late.

  • @Movieman88773 very nicely worded i'm glad someone can appreciate those beautiful colors...and you can't forget the sound of that helo...goose bumps everytime i hear it, you'd figure i'd be used to it by now haha SEMPER PARATUS!

  • @USCG777 Exactly thanks man!

  • @Movieman88773 no need to thank me i'm just doing my job my friend i should thankyou for the support...so...thankyou.

  • @Movieman88773 Yes, I agree, big beautiful orange and white CG thingy hovering over your wet ass except in the middle of the ocean.......high seas..........more likely to be a big ugly grey Navy thingy. But, nobody is downplaying the Coasties here. Total respect for USCG SAR crewmen.

  • @bryanrobertson Hey that "Orange & Whiite Thingy Hovering" is either a HH-65 Dolphin, or a HH60 Jayhawk.

  • @Movieman88773 i agree specaily since im a rescue swimmer

  • @starwrasfan1 awesome thanks for serving man

  • nice!

  • 2:22 What the hell happened there?

  • Im pretty positive that I am going to join the coast guard when I graduate highschool next year. I want that feeling of doing something and being a part of something more than me... I LOVE THE USCG!!! BUT I do want some feedback and present or previous coasties think its a good idea?

  • im dad was in the uscg =)

  • A very good depiction of the CG in action. Music goes well with the video too.

  • so what is your job in the coast guard

  • the coast guard is the best thing i have ever done! anyone have any questions get at me

  • i have a whole bunch of questions to ask you about the coast guard DASteeves

  • bro just get at me anytime sn is davidxsteeves

  • hi im alex and i was thinking about joining the CG as either a rescue swimmer or a damage controlmen

  • it 1 in 200 to become a rescue swimer

  • javachipcafe: I don't recall the ratio on who makes the cut as a rescue swimmer. there are two ways to approach that position. One is being a aviation survival technican the second is to be a health science technican. Both ratings serve as rescue swimmers.

  • USCG rox Rescue swimmwer rok when im 18 im goin 2 a school Semper Paratus

  • you have to wait at least two years to go to A school. there's a long waiting list for all aviation rates

  • it's always been like that for USCG A school

  • great video man i love it im on shore leave right now but i will be back in a week im stationed in jacksonville florida on shore patrol we are a band of brothers down here we love our jobs and everything has been rough lateley with all of our bridge construction in our bays and canals and we just had mistubishi put and offload dock here and had to shutdown that citys main bridges today for some gantry cranes to be deliverd it was awsome 10 inches of clearance of the crane to the bridge

  • This is a great video. This is what makes me so excited about going. Take my test soon and wanna leave in February.

  • im only 16 so cant join the uscg fer 2 years... but i will

  • im 12 6 more years

im in sea cadet a.k.a.jouinor navy/coast guard.

  • nice.

  • I am also very grateful that this video represents every division of the Coast Guard. I have always always wanted to serve my country, however I am unable to because of severe asthma. The Coast Guard Auxiliary allows me to do so, even though all Auxiliary members go unpaid. Great Video!

  • I like it, personally i want to be a stick actuator on a dolphin.

  • Whats the name of this Song

  • Remember the Name-Fort Minor

  • It's good to see a video that represents all of Team Coast Guard. USCG, USCGR, USCGAUX. Great job! Semper Paratus!

  • Very cool!
