@SmitHolm It is a shame how the cult religions can ruin families. I am more familiar with JWs, they may not be as extreme as FLDS but a lot of the terminology and practices of shunning are the same.

You are a brave soul. God blessed you or you wouldn't be here telling the story of lives in a 'legal' world of slavery. I'm so very proud of what you are doing and admire you for it.
Wow it's sad that your own parents weren't excited to see you but scared of you. You are a strong person to get away from all of that. My sister in law left Mormonism and her family basically disowned her for a while but now they talk and visit eachother
