She had something down there! We heard her marking it, but we could never find it.

If we had given her more time, we might have. But someone said they smelled skunk down there. Skunks can suffocate dogs underground. So, we started digging right away, too soon, only to find out it wasn't a skunk.. and something else.

What the person had smelled was an old skunk scent. Certainly wasn't fresh. Ah well.. I'm glad Storm is ok.

We take our Jack Russell Terriers out hunting all the time. The last hunt we went to, Storm crawled about 35 feet through a tunnel.. and ended up 4 feet underground. We had to dig her out.
