I think it's great that they are able to hang out again. Most likey they are just friends and want to re-establish the strong friendship they've always had. And yes they can hang out even if they are just friends, it's not a crime people. If they do choose to get back together, and it's quite possible, that's their own decision and not ours. Right now they are just friends, but as Nick and Miley have both said, "who's to say what tomorrow holds." Only God knows the future and where they'll be.
