  • I agree with this man i think he have totaly right about pride

  • With Japan facing severe economic difficulties, how can patriotism help them? It simply distracts them from facing the real problems. Through history, one finds patriotism to encourage aggressive foreign policy and backward economic policy when a country faces economic difficulties. What Japan needs, at the moment, is not patriotism but more entrepreneurial ambition, economic reforms and greater sense of pride on that they can face real problems without retreating to patriotism for comfort.

  • What's wrong with not having patriotism? Japan rebuilt itself without it. Japan became an economic giant without it. Japan became a leading innovator in technology without it. Japan achieved highest GDP per capita in Asia without it. Japan achieve all its modern marvels without it. Without reliance on patriotism, they understand political rhetoric can't substitute for dedication and hard work to achieve a better future for themselves and their children.

  • u cant criticize japan according to surface analysis, each country have good side and bad side, we cant judge like this. in jp there is culture of respect, manners, discipline. dont u think so?

  • from the comments i observe, i think japanese people are truly patriotic .... but they r forced to believe that they are not ... which isn't the case .... but ya .... america is fully going to use you all up....if you blindly trust it or follow its ways like all are doing now ..have trust and faith in yourself , your methods ..there is no bloody need to learn from america about anything ..you all are far more superior than them. just stick to your culture and methods.

  • Watch Letters from Iwo Jima, thats why not many are patriots there anymore

  • @MrWaffles0303 Eh? I don't think that patriotism means being a WWII patriot... Please, don't talk back to this if you don't understand.

  • there is no meaning in patriotism and we have the natural resource ? where the hell you think we get that from not from old red white and blue well the majority at least and the people dnt have to love the country they just live there

  • Im Japanese and you just said everything that I feel. Thank you

  • patiotism is the same as racism

  • Be proud Japan, your awesome

     From mighty England !!!

  • @NocturnalF0x I agree mate, I am very proud to be English but in our society at the moment is ridiculous, we get labelled for anything remotely patriotic ( I have been called a Nazi and Far right for flying my flag ???). Everyone deserves to be proud of their country and what we need in Britain is to bring it back and revive the pride but also have respect for other patriots around the world. God save the queen

  • @TheCrump3t What exactly is bringing back national pride going to achieve? Society's problems all stem from ignorance and government corruption. The reason why people reject patriotism and flag flying is because it creates unnecessary conflict.

    P.S. Fuck the queen

  • @bobokk Your wrong. Patriots build countries and maintain them out of respect for the land. Patriots make up most of the armies that protect our shores. People died for your country and flag to give you a better quality of life and now you insult patriots in such a way ? National pride doe's not cause wars, Idiotic human beings cause wars.A real nationalist has a bond with every other patriot around the world, We know people have died for our country and we don't take that for granted.

  • @TheCrump3t Cut the bullshit. I don't care how much you love your country, you can't "build countries" (whatever that's supposed to mean) without money, resources or education - 3 things that are now non-existent.

I know people died for my countries (I'm half-British, half-Japanese) but I also know that many had no choice. This is 2011 not 1939. Can you truly say we're better off now? I'd gladly give up this laptop and my mobile for a simpler life and a house that I can actually afford.

  • just wait till japan makes a Gundam .. lets see all your fucking Modernized military ur saying.. --> to other comments below me

  • What a jolly, weird and typical american :P

I hope Japan don't get the sense of "pride" americans have, or they will be calling Japan of Asia in one year or two ^_^

  • 1. Correct, you won the Daily Double. Il Sung was a bigger contributor to Juche than Jong-Il. Which is immaterial to my main point.

    2. False choice, neither. Of course there is American *ideology,* but American indigenous culture is not the same thing. By my logic, same goes for Juche (ideology) and traditional Korean culture, and Marxism (ideology) and traditional German culture. My original post was defending traditional culture.

    3. Refer to 2.

  • @TheMathMoth I said NK celebrates traditional Korean culture and then you brought up communism, either ideology is part of culture and thus relevant, or it's not. So which is it?

If it isn't, then North Korea shows very well the problem with being pridefully nationalistic and worshipping tradition: It values being orthodox over being right.

If it is, then that still covers traditions like sharia, slavery, gender discrimination, etc.

Pride is a SIN in most religious TRADITIONS for a reason.

  • @Wafflepudding Of course there is a complex interplay between ideology and culture. However, my claim is not about ideology. I'm simply saying that traditional cultures are worth preserving and taking pride in.

    Not WORSHIPPING a la NK.

Like most words, pride has different meanings. The sinful pride you mention is pride in one's SELF.

The pride I meant--a good example would be a Zapotec man I know in Oaxaca. He is humble, yet takes pride in his family's centuries-old rug-weaving tradition.

  • @Wafflepudding cont'd...And the banksters' corporate globalism is gradually replacing his kind of pride with the selfish kind. I apologize if my comment was misleading, I was not referring to patriotic pride in my original comment.

  • @TheMathMoth When you said pride I understood nationalistic pride yes, so I suppose there was just miscommunication there. No problem.

  • 1. Correct, you won the Daily Double. Il Sung was a bigger contributor to Juche than Jong-Il. Which is immaterial to my main point.

    2. False choice, neither. Of course there is American *ideology,* but American indigenous culture is not the same thing. 3. Refer to 2.

  • Pride gives a whole other meaning to one's existence. Pride will probably get in the way of rational decision making sometime through out one's life, but I for one will live with that.

Don't agree with the entirety of this video but hey, the Americans took over Japan after the war and infected the country with it's own culture, what did you expect?

  • Why in nationality, ethnicity or ancestry something to be proud of ?

  • Wipe out pride, and you wipe out culture. It's happening across the world. Humans have chosen faceless corporate globalism over pride in their indigenous cultural traditions.

  • @TheMathMoth Not really, pride in indigenous traditions is well alive in places like North Korea...

  • @Wafflepudding Yep, you got me on that one. North Korea's ideology is a hybrid of Communism, Stalinism, and Kim Jong-Il's personal interpretation of Korean nationalism.

    Sounds "indigenous" to me!

  • @TheMathMoth

Fail 1: It's actually a hybrid of Stalinism and crap Kim Il Sung pulled out of his ass called "Juche".

Fail 2: Since no one else has Juche, and it was invented by a North Korean, it's still indigenous, even if it's not 100% a local product. Either that or there's no "American ideology", since it's also a hybrid of foreign ideas.

Fail 3: By your logic, if you trace it back to Marx, Communism is a German ideology, so Germans should go with that instead of democracy.

  • @Wafflepudding sorry, reply is below

  • how come gay for japan is make your a true american?

    doesn't make any sence?

  • Block his ass Tony calling any race a monkey just indicates that in the case of jaksonbabe's family evolution can run in reverse. | | V

  • Can't believe einstein created the atomic bomb to nuke these monkeys. Look at what they turned into; half retarded country with perverted thoughts and men everywhere. Nice.

  • Japanese monkeys stink!

  • @soopaflychic

    Racist honkeys stink!

  • God bless Japan a beautiful and well respected country internationally. Modern Japan is a jewel of the pacific.

  • @seonidh Japan is an economic and fiscal basket case. It's not respected by anyone with a clue.

  • @HomleandSecurity its more respected than the states at the moment good luck with your socialist medicine Obama care.

  • @seonidh You lie

  • @HomleandSecurity and your delusional happy obama care comrade.

  • Comment removed

  • I guess you've never watched Japanese Olympic coverage or World Cup games.

  • @HomleandSecurity Everyone is a patriot at sporting events, but on a day to day basis there is little to none, which is what he means.

  • @RasheemH Yeah but that's not true. Japan is the most nationalistic country I've ever been to, including Serbia.

  • @t048a lol

  • "Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious" :p

  • I discovered many Japanese good points. By your words that are not a Japanese.Thank you Tony!!

  • I never saw a country that ashamed of its national symbols as Japan. You will never hear students singing the national anthem or showing care and respect for its national flag. then I learned that there is this ferocious liberal group that controls the japanese education system whose basic motto is to ban any sign of patriotism-inducing act. incredibly, every now and then you see some news about schools displaying the national flag on graduation ceremonies and being sued by this group for that.

  • HAHAHA, That all changed since this week! CHINA JUST PASSED JAPAN's ECONOMY. NOW CHINA IS #2...

  • @LiToVNese - HAHAHAHA - the average person in China earns $3,600 per year, while in Japan the average is $37,800.

  • @PropagandaBuster HAHAHAHA my salary as a Civil Engineer is $61K a year, more than both of the average Japanese/Chinese makes. Poor Japanese and Chinese =( but Japan GDP did get a butt kick i'll tell u that...

  • does that mean Japan is #3?

  • @PropagandaBuster HAHAHA that's because America (master) forced japanese (slave) yen to appreciate to cheat them out of their money in 1985!!! HAHAHA learn "plaza accord", now jap is in 3rd decade of recession!!! Soon, 1/3 will be jobless. Japanese can't even afford to buy beef to eat in their own country, they can only afford bananas!!! Japs hate bananas!!! But monkeys should love bananas. Weird....

China will grow steadily and not be cheated!!!

You need to change your name to "propagan-dist"

  • @Seres1091 I think the hate relation between China-Japan-Korea is fascinating. Mainly because I don't know much about it, so it bugs me. Does it have an origin? How come China never crushed Japan if they are so smaller? How can such a small island enter war with such a big country? (they entered war before right? And looks like Japan even "won" one or two, how come?)... And there is a motive for the hate at all?

Sorry for my curiosity, but I'm Brazilian, the only country we "hate" is Argentina

  • @NVaizard Google "The rape of Nanking". Some Japanese authorities sometimes gloss over the atrocities the Japanese army commited during WW2.

  • @Wafflepudding Yeah I know about this story, almost unbelievable cruelty! But aren't there other reasons? The incident in Nanking was horrible, but I doubt the hate comes from an isolated event. For example, why the war occurred in the first place? And how is it possible for Japan to enter war against China? Besides... what's the japanese excuse for that? Their side of the history? I wish they teach oriental hystory in my country, but the most we get is a USA perspective over the incidents -_-

  • @NVaizard It was hardly an isolated event and that's kind of the point. The Japanese army during their occupation commited atrocities on all parties involved, from captured allied soldiers, to trying to erradicate the Korean culture, to the massacres of Chinese and development of biological weapons. I can't really do justice to either side of the story on a 500 characther limit, but Japan went to war for resources to "keep Asia asian" (meaning Japanese instead of American or British).

  • @Wafflepudding Yep, I always suffer with the 500 characters limit. But one thing still bugs me, why the chinese education system wants to keep the hate? Most chineses who hate Japan weren't even born back them, that means they were taught to hate by their relatives and teachers. It's almost like a Cold War, it's something different from the tension in Middle East, for example. And makes no sense today. Could it be out of pure pride? Like: "you did an awfull thing and I hate u till you say sorry"

  • @NVaizard I don't know how they teach the subject in China, but I'm guessing as neutral as you could taught it, people would still be angry over it, and it happened less than 100 years ago, there's people that lived through that still alive. There's people that lost parents or grandparents, or whose parents lived through it.

  • @NVaizard The only war Japanese won was the "first Sino-Japanese war", because CHina was made a fourth world country by some people called the Manchus. China had 50% world GDP before Manchus, then in 1890s it was reduced to less than 10%. Japan modernized but China still didn't. Research the "Imjin war", read how Ming China fought the 倭pygmys; even Japan couldn't beat Korean navy.

The origin of hate for Japan from China and Korea is due to Japanese war crimes in WWII; punishment awaits them

  • @Seres1091 Interesting, I'll look into that. So there was no conflit between them before WWII even with all the conflits between the countries? Does that also mean there is no conflit between China and Korea? Only between China and Japan?

And looks like Japan renounced its right to declare war after WWII in their contitution (Article 9) and have not entered violent conflit ever since. Shouldn't that make the hate obsolete? I mean, most people who hates Japan today weren't even born back them.

  • @NVaizard There were very few conflicts between China, Korea, and Japan to begin with, the well known ones are "Battle of Baekgang", "Wokou pirates", "Imjin war", "first Sino-Japanese war", "world war 2", and "Korean war".

The "renouncing declaring of war" is only done out of necessity, forced by America rather than voluntarily done by themselves; I would never trust Japan for one second. They would try to pull that sh!t again if they could, they have no remorse and openly deny everything.

  • @Seres1091 Yeah, that Japan Self-Defense Forces is not very convincing either. I'm still amazed by how such a small island developed such a strong army over the years.

  • @NVaizard Strong army? The only reason Japan was successful against China and Korea at the start of 20th century is because they modernized but China and Korea still didn't. Against a true modernized nation like Russia or America at that time, they stood no chance.

Now China and Korea both have modernized military

  • @Seres1091 I agree, a small modernized army is not able to battle a big modernized army. But they look strong never the less (considering their size and geological limitations)

Japan may be the devil, but they did some things that trully amazes me (evil or not). It's a little like Nazi German, they were unbelievably cruel, but did some amazing things (but still evil).

  • @NVaizard Yes, that we can both agree with :)

  • @Princess14Ayaka To criticize your own country, is showing your love for your country. I believe this is the case, more so than just focusing on your nation's accomplishments. No nation is perfect, how can you solely focus on the idea of patriotism which is suggestive of the thoughts of superiority? The fact your dress is pretty doesn't hide the fact your shoes are dirty.

  • ...decide its own fate TOGETHER, on its own, which it is doing progressively now. 頑張ろう日本 !

    中国 加油 !

    한국 아자 아자 !

  • ...PropagandaBuster include such footage of the Japanese military. My guess is he is pro-military, which in itself is a glimpse into his character & views, plus his obvious approval of an U.S. presence in East Asia, plus his anti-communism sentiments, equates to the suggestion & promotion of INSTABILITY in East Asia. His views reflect some U.S. foreign policies. Contrary to his opinions, Asia needs to...

  • ...conjures Japan's past military history, in the modern context. Considering the fact that the Japanese Constitution states that no military in any form will be maintained, only after the U.S. occupation was the Japan Self-Defense Forces established. Even of recent, the Japanese public has voiced protest over the decision made by the previous Japanese gov't (Liberal Democratic Party), to send troops to Iraq, which they subsequently withdrew in 2006. Now, ask yourself, why would...

  • Something to note, this character, PropagandaBuster, after making his suggestions in his video, decides to PURPOSELY include footage of the Japanese military. Now, what else is noteworthy with this deceptively subliminal tactic is to draw attention to Japanese nationalism, to evoke a sense of pride attached to the Japanese military. It should be noted that the Japanese public is divided over the showing of the Hinomaru itself, let alone the military ensign, Jyūrokujō-Kyokujitsu-ki which...

  • PropagandaBuster has a brown nose for Japan. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in an attempt to rule the ENTIRE world with Hitler!! Hitler got his Idea to experiment on the Jewish FROM the Japanese who tortured the chinese in a facility called Unit 731. Now Japan goes in what is supposed to be sanctuary waters and they Poach endangered whales in a painful blood bath. They never learned their lesson form WWII. They do what they want BECAUSE they have trade power! They are NOT honorable!!

  • @GranFury440 Instead of making accusations against Japan, which I'm certain you may be making valid claims, but for the sake of what is more important now, you should be more critical of what this character, PropagandaBuster, is saying in his rhetoric. One step at a time.

  • @GranFury440 Totally agree with you!

  • Thank you !! (^o^)/

  • Tony, why don't you become next Prime Minister in Japan??

    Huh???

  • Nationalism leads to atrocity. Patriotism is ludicrous. Why fill yourself with pride based on the arbitrary position you happen to live in? Do you really think that imaginary lines on a map have significance? Be proud of actual accomplishments you've made in life.

  • @haijin0420 - あなたは大歓迎です。

  • dumbfuck, Shinto is about way more than crying when trees are damaged. these people fucking disembowel themselves in front of their parliament buildings in protest at the post-WW2 destruction of nature to make way for the sicko babylon-whoremeister urban lie. a samurai and a cherry blossom cannot be separated. if the Nazis had won properly there'd be no need for green militia.

  • dont listen to this american fool. nationalism, and patriotism is for idiots. flag waving is one of the many things that nazi germany has in common with the usa. the u.s. is quickly becoming what nazi germany once was.

  • Couldn't agree more.

"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel".

  • Pride is a pointless waste of time and energy.

  • Then to be consistent that must mean you are not proud of yourself.

  • No I'm not proud of myself - as I said it's pointless. You just live your life and make the best of each day. That's all there is.

  • @PropagandaBuster I agree with HoosierMF. And to reply to your statement, I would say no. I am not proud of myself. Pride is an expression of an ego, as is self. Both ego and pride are a hinderance towards growth, especially in a spiritual sense. Humility before pride will ensure constant growth. Of course, you do not want a lack in self esteem either. That would also be a call of the ego. It is a balancing act aimed towards neutrality.

  • @PropagandaBuster Japanese don't want to display patriotism, because sadly Japanese patriots are full of right wing people who glorify their past war crimes....u got some history lesson at school uh Tonny?

  • @HoosierMF pride express our love for our country, race, purself, or wahteevr we chose to have pride for it is not pointless as long as you dont blind yourself in it always assume other capablity as well and then try to take it out of them so we the asian will always remain strong that what the white always attempt to do sometime it work but only temp. even now they tryin to do so im sure the fuking westerner want us asian to fight each other due to our war way so thy can eliminate competition

  • @asian714cali You've just proven my point. You're blind, ignorant and stupid

  • @HoosierMF

    YADA!

  • Thank you for your comments. USA and Japan 4ever!!

  • まったくその通り、今の日本の政治家(国民も)はこのメッセージについてよーく考えてもらいたいな。

  • @bupper1111 not sure what that meant so.... two hot fresh new atomic bombs coming your way

  • so, how much did you get paid this time around?

wow, you`re such an ass kisser.

sigh, the power of money, i guess...

  • What the fuck are you talking about?

  • Thank you for saying so to the Japanese. You are truly our friends. I'm so happy

    テキサス親父よく言ってくれた。すっごくうれしい。

  • あほか?国旗を重んじる心が必要なんだよ!

  • apology about A-bombs as humanity!

  • hakumai- propagandabuster is a whore for your country. It wouldn't be surprising in the least that he is on the take for your scum country.

The only people that are non-js who "love" japan are japanophile dimwits.

  • well, howiseethings, you a moronic piece of dog shit. Thats how I see things!:) The reason people love Japan is because it is not an over-controlling war-starting western imperialist country like the US. If you knew ANYTHING about the country of Japan, you wouldnt go trolling around trying to make retarded blanket statements about a great country like Japan.

  • harr- I have lived in japan for 22 years.

  • @harr7959 your an idiot plzz don't comment anymore. your making yourself look less educated. japans economy blows ours outta the water. face the facts if you want to or not. you sound like a racist.

  • thanks tony! I will fight.

  • Thank you.

There is an atomasphere we aren't allowed to express patriotism in Japan.

I think we've been ocupied invisible GHQ since then even though they've gone away.

We work hard but we are criticized 'economic animal' by all of the world. So we've lost our confidence.

We seem to give up to have patoriotism.

    I'd like to express patoriotism.

  • このおっちゃん原爆投下誤る必要なしだそうだよw

  • Thank you.

  • Most people in the world love Japan, believe me.. or well, i can only speak of northern europe where people dropped their jaws when you invented the Nintendo in the 80's,,, the VHS,, the CD disc (DVD etc. and all compact discs that are ever invented with that technology in the future) patented by Sony ... and much more. Your country seems to be a gold mine of creativity, despite the lack of natural resources and the only nation being a-bombed (twice, only 64 years ago).

  • BULLSHIT.

I have spent 12 years in Japan and I fucking love this country. The Japanese are amazing people, and Japan is an amazing country to live in! If you don't like Japan, go away and SHUT THE FUCK UP! Go live in the USA or China and see how you like living a police state!

  • Great video!!

I think EVERYONE should be proud of their nation.

I'm Swedish and proud of it, but i'm not proud of our system and bankers that doesn't want us to be proud of our country, that wants to kill our patriotism so they could hand over our rights and money to the EU and sell our currency at lowest price to the euro which we have no control of.

Being proud is the best thing for democracy and will stop the new world order elite!

  • Thank you for your nice comment. I hope your dream comes true.

  • I lived in Japan for 2 years. It was great. However, I must agree with you. From my experiences (& the Japanese people I was around) they did NOT have any patriotism for their nation. So many Japanese were practically obsessed with American movies & music. Some of my Japanese friends refused to watch Japanese movies & would only watch American movies & listen to American music. I asked them, "where's the Japanese pride? Where's the patriotism?" Just my experience though

  • "I don't think everyone.

Most Japanese think American movies are more interested than Japanese. That's it. Hollywood stars are gorgeous.

Many Japanese like anime of their own country. It doesn't matter patriotism."

  • i'm sure they are proud of there country, they just dont feel the need to boast about it.

    Japanese are Humble people.

  • japan doesnt show patriotism becuase they are embarrased what they did back in ww2. japan wants nothing to do with the military, or war in that matter. last time they showed their patriotism was before and durring ww2, and look what happen. they just want to live in peace now, and forget about the past.

  • I got it. Although "speak less, do more" is a virtue I find beautiful, I'd like you to keep speaking up. I enjoy your videos a lot and also learn a lot from them. Thank you very much for your response and I wish you all the best, sir.

  • Hi Tony. Thanks for the truly encouraging message. :) However, it's not that we are not proud of our nation. We lost the war and we are said to have done so many horrible things during the war. Some of them might be true, some of them not. However the loser can't make the history because the winner is supposed to make one. So instead of expressing our pride outwardly, we decided to work smart and diligently, keeping our pride inside. That's how we developed our nation and we are proud of it. :)

  • Always be proud of your nation. Every nation on this planet has some degree of ugliness in their history, why should Japan be the only nation to hang on to it? Your nation has redeemed the ugliness of the past by becoming the nation you are today.

  • umm, did you get a japanese dick up your ass last night? you seem very happy today. =)

  • Listen Tony, after living in japan for 12 years...I have something to say. It is a great country. Yet it's citizens are sheep. They fear the mafia which basically runs the nation. They bow down to them. Because in japan, only bad guys have guns. After ww2 America has been their only protection from N.Korea and china. The population there has no integral memories of patriotism. Remember Tony, the nail that sticks out gets hammered down. That is the way of Japanese society.

  • Thank you ever so much for that insight. I guess as Americans we take pride in being that nail that sticks out. Imagine if all cultures were alike, what a boring planet this would be? Thanks again.

  • Japan would not need protection from North Korea. Japan spends much more - and has much more equipment - for their defense army. I myself have lived there for years as well, and I must ask, where did you live there? I did not find it near as severe as you word it.

Anyway, great video! I agree with all of your points. All countries should have pride, for all countries are great.

  • Japan is one of the worst war criminal nations the world has ever seen. It killed just about as many civilians as Russia lost in both of its world wars. Not to mention the rape, torture, and experiments done on Chinese villages.

You better get your facts strait, japan will never be as friendly to the US as you think it will.

  • Thank you.

  • You showed me one reference. I like to do my research from various sources, not just one.

  • I am not aware of his views so why would I comment?

  • then you are not a propaganda buster but a washed up old man.

  • So to you knowing who the governor of Tokyo is, is a legitimate test of international affairs? That would be like me crossing the Rio Grande and then boast about my international travels.

  • Yes I did, and I also heard it was not proper.

  • The person sent me a link that seemed to suggest he was no longer the governor.

  • How are you replying to me when I asked a question? Are you replying to my question with a question?

  • nowadays Americans and Europeans form a country more on an "ideaology", what they believe in e.g freedom.....but Asians form a country more on the Race side...it's ugly!

  • i can assumption here: if China become weak, falling again by what ever reason,...and you ill see those "crouching Tigers and hiden Dragons" around China will soon make a move,.....wola...it's time to share the china CAKE again....

  • I think you have me wrong. I in no way advocate the break up of China or to have China's security threatened. I delight in the prosperity of the average Chinese citizen. To me when people prosper, their freedoms expand. I can appreciate the government's goal is to keep a united, strong, and protected China, that is the role of all governments. I just do not appreciate a government behaving like thugs towards their own people, be that government in Beijing or in Washington, DC.

  • have you read all my 8 parts of my comments? em.... I think there is a communication broken-down here, sorry i have to make apology for my poor English, ..., i dont like government behaving like thugs towards their own people as well...the point i made here was not about you, Americans & westeners...it's about some extremists from countries around China, they dislike china is not just simply about Commies like you do...

  • i think some of them "hate" China more on a personal level,....and "clever" Commies use this insecurity feeling of chinese people towards their neighbours to further strengh their governing position in China....Chinese are "afraid" of "unfriendly" neighbours more than Commie....i hope you can understand my point that's one of reasons why commies still have a market in China

  • This protection the people of China desire can be achieved without the thug like behavior from the communist towards their own people.

  • Certainly Can! only if All the eastern Countries have the same mutul relation like countries among European union, and people have repect to each other...i dont think there will be a major war again in Eurozone, but Asia, Specailly East Asia is a GAS CAN, can explore anytime...the problem of Asians are they all have strong cuture backgrounds, i am not saying it's a bad thing, but lots of them "dig into" history too much, sometimes history itself become burden to them

  • anyway, looking at the nations around China, apart of Pakistan is a trusted ally, China is pratically surrounded, lots of chinese people are looking for sense of security, they want to a tough stand governement, so that's why commie has the trust

  • they think they are altantic people who should be independent from inferior han chinese....WTF, it never make sense to me, i am half mogolian, but i am still HAN chinese, ......

  • at the moment, in this century,...lots of Chinese still feel unsafe and untrust about their neighbours,...although attitude towards westeners has been improved...but towards neighbours chinese still very doubt about them....just browsing through internet, there are so many hate comments made by some South Koreans, japanese extremists, they want Tibet, urguri(xinjiang), mogolia, Manchu all independant....

  • So i can be honest to you, chinese people, specially my grandpa's generations feel utral-distrust westeners and hate japanese...they feel been betrayed! so this is MAO and his fellow conrads gain markets, they stand for those poor people in china, they want to free china from foreign invadation, reconstracting a powful Middle kingdom again...people need "hope" at the time, so this idea can be sold easily....

  • later, even worse thousands dead in Nanking, the Japanese 731 army division did live human experiment for Bio & Chem weapon in north-border of china(unfortuntely, these dead soul still havent got justice....do you know why?because United State of America want to have the first-hand data of these bio & chem experiement on human from Japanese(guy called ishii) prison for its own weapon develop purpose.....

  • Why are you worried about a man who is no longer the governor?

  • what he tried to tell you is the Man Shintaro is a symbol of the extremelists come back to life again in Japan....anyway I also found it's so strange your japanese freind "show NO" pride and patriotism......

  • I know you hate Commie ... but can i explain why it is still having Market among Chinese people, because it can unit whole country and people...the past 100 years was the darkest period in recent Chinese history, an ancient country has been colonized by western powers and new-born japanese imperialism, foreign powers even had war(e.g. russia vs japan in Qingdao) in land of china, kids starve to death along street on Shanghai, natrual resource has been ship to Japan for Imperial war machine

  • I have no knowledge of Governor Shintaro, thus no comment from me. Since you seem to be aware of the Governor, how about you share your thoughts?

  • Once again you seem to be willing to tell another how to end a video while you yourself refuse to post a video on this subject. See here in Texas we have a saying, it goes like this: "Either lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way."

Another saying is relevant as you are trying to teach a lesson: "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."

  • If you do not like the photos I selected to end this video with, then how about you post your own video and select the photos you want to end YOUR video with? Hmmmm? Or are you just in the business of telling other people what to do while not doing anything yourself?

  • many of the japanese students were told NOT to sing the national anthem at the commencement. i remember singing 'oh say can you say' every morning when i was in elementary school which was a good memory. most japanese kids, kids around 7-8, don't even know the national anthem, much less sing it. there's something wrong with this country.

  • so you are a U.S patriot?

so what does that actualy mean?

since what i've seen from the u.s media the word has been twisted to something rather disgusting =/

  • It means I am proud to be a citizen of my country and will do what needs to be done to support and defend this nation from those who would harm us, both foreign and domestic. It also means I will work to correct what is wrong in our nation, be it our people, our culture, or our government. Being a patriot also means I am willing to challenge my government when I feel it is violating or running counter to our constitution or our Founding Fathers.

  • My heart fills with pride with the sight of our flag. A tear in my eye with thoughts of those worked towards defending our nation. The colors red, white, and blue define a nation to me. I will defend my right to disagree with others as well as defend those who disagree with me. Each night as I kneel to say my prayers, I thank God for all His blessings and this nation we call the USA.

  • Well that's pretty healthy patriotism right there =)

the image i've gotten fom the u.s media is a bit different or some ppl i've talked to

the whole "europe vs u.s" or "you are with us or against us", on the war issue.

  • Please do not trust what you heard from Hollywood or the American news media when it comes to the USA. For some peculiar reasons both groups hate the very nation that gives them their livelihood and protection. They give meaning as to why American liberalism is a mental disorder. To get the real picture of America, best to correspond with real Americans, not the fifth columnist in the American news media and Hollywood.

  • hehehe yeah.

i've seen the "fair and ballanced" slogans :D

well, it was nice to be able to ask few questions

    have nice day =)

  • my defnition of patriotism is to correct the wrongdoings of your nation, to fight for your country when your nation is under attack for unjust reasons, to vote, to pay taxes so that your representatives can serve the country, to preserve culture and traditions.
