  • 2:32 - 3:35 That looks like Princess Toadstool!

  • 2:32 - 3:35 That looks like Princess Toadstool!

  • 1:51 don't you mean have to save toads and yoshis?

  • I own gallery 2 and love it i will probly go to vintage and see if i can find some more game and watch gallerys

  • im trying to figure out the secrets in the game anyone know them?

  • i have number 3. i used a gameshark and deleted my data!!! (i had a little over 2000 on modern egg, flower mode...) oh, and gimme that game.

  • Fire and Manhole are so great, especially the modern versions.

  • There's an unusual "Game & Watch" title for GameBoy, that was only released in Europe and Australia or something like that. It was called "Game Boy Gallery". Mark should review it sometime.

  • ahhh the memories

  • i got this for 4 dollars o3o

  • 1:40

Is that a saw wave in a Game Boy? I think this game has an expansion sound module!

  • ah my childhood reviewed!

  • i loved these as a kid

  • ewww manhole

  • @ivertualgamer

    Speak for yourself.

I personally love a sweat-flavored manhole smothered in pubic hair with just a hint of shit for seasoning.

  • this brings back so many memories..I had an original Mickey and Donald..took it to school to show it off, and some brat kid stole it. 25 years ago, but it still hurts when I think about it.

  • this brings back so many memories..I had an original Mickey and Donald..took it to school to show it off, and some brat kid stole it.

  • I remember that I always tried to grab the maximum amount of treasure from the octopus as Mario each time. Good game.

  • I have a real Game & watch; a Fire one, the same game as at 1:10. No joke, I've played on it more than my PSP, and it only cost me £5 off of eBay.

  • I got about 6 Game & Watch key chain games from Wal-mart and end up playing them more than my DS xD

  • imagine you wer that kid on the bus and watching this video

  • @ptwob and he cries and donates CGR his game and watch

  • I just wish they would release Game & Watch style cases for the DS.

  • 5:31 I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going...

  • Yeah! I had that shitty octopus game, and I remember having a Karnov hand held during the same time. It was pretty terrible but back then thats all there was.

  • I remember playing this game since I was a kid! If it wasn't for this game, I probably would have NEVER knew about the Game & Watch games before "Super Smash Bros. Melee" on the Gamecube. :D

  • These games inspired the Nintendo DS.

  • htank god i have been looking for that super smash brows brawl character since the game realesed now i notice he has no name

  • I've seen enough hentai...

  • So many memories...can't believe how many hours I put into some of these..

  • wtf i had to pay 8.00 and how do you record your screen

  • I've got an old G&W Fire Attack :)

Those sound effects are the sound of my childhood gaming years.

  • @MagicAccent I had an Octopus and a Popeye G&W back in the day.

  • This review was a big nostalgia trip for me.

  • 2:58 VIDEOGAME VIOLENCE!!!!!

  • I have the gba version of this game

  • Still play this with my yellow Gamboy Pocket - it's Kickass game!!!

  • I lol'd when Mark said Luigi's probably controlling the octopus. Don't worry, Luigi, you'll get your time to shine in Luigi's Mansion 2.

  • Manic Miner / Jet Set Willy was the original gaming star after Pacman not Mario (at least in Europe anyway where Mario was unheard of ) . I had some of these in the eighties i used to have the Dual screen Donkey Kong which i found on the school bus one day !! It was so similar to the Nintendo DS .

  • I just LOVE watching this in HD :D

  • I had this game a long time ago. I can't remember what I did with it.

  • I remember having this game, wish I still had it somewhere :\

  • This is a great review! Reminds me of more oldschool CGR, Mark's a lot more calm and just talks about random crap sometimes. That's the way to go.

  • the octupus's tentacles look a little weird o nthe re-maked....

  • Here in Australia Game And Watch Gallary is known as Game Boy Gallary, and I believe the first Game Boy Gallary game came out here in 1994 or something, came with ball as one of its games, I can't remember what other games were on it because I never owned it and I haven't played it in many years.

  • i have the 5th gallery and it has those games and then some.

  • 2:58 Wind Squid should have came in to rescue Mario.

  • @BigDaddyGamer96 That would be horrible.

  • I'm not even interested in some of these games, but Mark makes them so fun and interesting!

    Long live classic game room!

  • OH NO, MARIO IS BEING EATEN BY AN OCTOPUS! AHHHHH

  • i thought this was about the old nintendo wrist watch games. i remember in junior high having zelda and my friend had mario brothers. i always wanted the maro brothers one. the zelda sounded cooler but was not fun at all. while mario was actually fun

  • yay i had this game

  • Still got my original Donkey Kong game and watch.. no batteries though but still got it!

  • Oh I have the GBA gallery which has most of the originals and the remakes. I always wondered wtf were those old looking versions and now I know.

  • Getting all the Stars in a Game & Watch Gallery game is a HUGE pain in the ass.

Getting 5 Stars in half the Modern Games on Easy alone is already harder than beating many other games for the GameBoy.

  • Funny Halfords advertisement beforehand. Loved the screaming girl with the bike!

  • now if the 3DS gameboy virtual console could only do color palettes like yours can. Unfortunately for all non Game-Boy Color games. Its Black and White or Gameboy Green on 3DS virtual console. Still awesome though.

  • I played the crap out of this game before pokemon red/blue came out. Wow i fill old now. ;'(

  • Game and watch galleries are relatively expensive I think. I was looking for some for the Nintendo DS and couldn't find one for a reasonable price (there's one gallery which has a lot of games)

  • i love how peach just sits there and watches Mario get pummeled

  • I owned Game & Watch Gallery on the original Game Boy back in the day (and still do)!

This game had enhanced features when played on a Super Game Boy cartridge for SNES, including better color palettes, special backgrounds and controls remapped for the SNES controller (one of them even replaced the Game Boy normally displayed when selecting a sub-game)!

Sadly, it seems those improvements can't be accessed when played on a 3DS; the game remains in its original black and white. I felt let down.

  • 3:34 MANHOLE ... my first ever video game (on G&W) XD

  • REVIEW THE GTA 5 TRAILER !!!!

  • 4:15 Mark's crappy Burgertime handheld is listed on eBay for 60 bucks!

  • Comment removed

  • This reminds me of the old Tiger handheld LCD games. I had the Double Dragon one. Anybody else remember those?

  • @PCGamer77 Yeah I had Karnov.

  • Classic game room is so addictive. It's great watching these after a stressful day for some reason.

  • This is one of my childhood favorites. I'd play Fire all the time on my Game Boy Pocket. I've been collecting GB/GBC/GBA games, and this is one I need.

  • do more game and watch gallerys mark!

  • This game is what got me started in collecting for the gameboy. It's everything you would want in a gameboy game.

  • GBA SP is a marvel of awesome, best battery life out of every device I've used.

  • Sometimes I click on the ads just to give classic game room some money

  • Oh look! It is recreation of 'Oil Panic,' probably known to most as "that level from smash brothers."

  • 2:58 I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going

  • I played that Fire game in the late 80s, except it was called Bouncing Babies. Kind of disturbing game watching babies jumping out the top floor of a burning building. The Octopus game looks like fun for about 5 minutes, but that's the point of it. Manhole with Yoshi looks like freakin' chaos. I think he should look out for his own kind instead of a bunch of clumsy mushroom people. And Oil Panic is just missing the flame thrower to be perfect!

  • I used to have parashute ( dont know how its spelled ) and Donkey Kong was given to me from my gandmother :)

There games are great to have in the bathroom when you have long time heavy buisness :)

  • wow princess gets happy when you give her money! I'm not surprised.

  • Thank Mark for classic game room. :)

  • omg!! u've solve the mystery for me!! i never figured out how to empty the bottle in the oil game.... never!! >.<!! after owning the game for so many years for my game boy light i think...

  • the top comments are alike somehow

  • oooh mr game & watch special in ssbb final makes seance 2:20

  • LOL Game & Watch Sounds Like "Gay Men Watch" When You Say It Fast Enough.

  • @TheGenesisfreak HAHAHA. You know what Gay men actually watch, we watch gay porn. And in my case i also watch alot of yaoi and esp furry (gay yiff) porn. GAY PRIDE WORLDWIDE!.. :)

  • @TheGenesisfreak Naughty mind

  • @TheGenesisfreak LOL - like gayness, plus men, plus watching them!

  • @TheGenesisfreak no it doesnt

  • @TheGenesisfreak

    and one option is manhole....

  • Octopus is my favourite in this collection.

  • My cousin had Game and Watch Gallery II. Good memories.

  • I remember scoring pretty big on game & watch donkey kong

  • I bought a Game & Watch back in the day and I still have it.

    Still works great too.

  • i think i have this or had it

  • I have this game and man it is awesome, the sad thing is the battery died so no more stars for me as long as I don't invest in a cr2032 XD.

  • I remember keeping the Toads clean from the dirty holes in Manhole made me feel so accomplished.

I remember making Mario walk insanely slow back up to the boat with so much treasure, but receiving SO many points for it, that made me feel accomplished.

I remember making Yoshi jump on the blocks he made with his fireballs in Oil Panic, seeing that made me feel accomplished.

I remember saving countless lives in Fire, that made me feel accomplished.

This game made me want to accomplish things.

  • Nintendo makes the most brilliant games.

  • It took me a long time to really enjoy pocket-sized, electronic games. When they started out, everything hacked around, unlike non-electric pocket games, which used no batteries, and had a plastic cover and small marbles inside, and one or two control buttons. The Gameboy Pocket was a big improvement to me, but the screen always blurred whenever it scrolled smoothly. It took the Gameboy Color to really get me into pocket electronic games.

  • I remember these game and watch gallery games. They were kind of. Really. Boring. I remember playing them all once and I never really played them again. Really like the flatzone stage in melee though. There's a game and watch game in personal trainer cooking. You can play it while you wait for food to cook/chill although sometimes the wait could be minutes to half an hour. Not sure you could play a game and watch game that long.

  • I spent hours playing this

  • The thing that makes me really angry is the versions they're releasing for 3ds download have absolutely no color added. I have no idea why not. This is especially frustrating for the Mario Land release, which had been colorized absolutely perfectly by hackers for the PSP. There is no way to get a nice blue sky and a red outfit and brown mustache Mario without ROMs and hacking. It's rediculous. G&W collection is just like that: better everywhere else than on 3DS. :-(

  • I loved these games! I'd like a DS remake.

  • @AlderDragon There were for some of them. Nintendo Club made some DS remakes available to their members, including oil panic, parachute, octopus, and some others. They were surprisingly not as good as the gameboy collection in terms of fun.

  • can you review Heiankyo Alien mark, pleaaassseee!!!!

  • such a deal!

  • Those old LCD games were really charming in a weird way.

  • Lord Karnage

  • I used to have this game. I bought it when it was still relatively new, and I quite liked it (especially the Octopus game) but I must have sold it somewhere along the line to buy PlayStation games.

  • you should review Aliens Infestation for the DS, i heard its good and i just came out.

  • are you and mark whatever his last name is that does the drawing vids the same person cuz you guys sound alot alike and both of your names are mark lol

  • @Icestationzero and you are 7?

  • I only have game and watch galery 2 but I love it best game boy game along with tetris plus

  • haha

  • Loved these when I was a kid! I had Zelda & the Donkey Kong with the little round control pads for 2 player!

  • and I thought mr. game & watch's final smash was original.

  • i own game and watch : ball, no, thanks to mark, i'm gonna go have to go find it and play it.

  • My favourite gameboy game!

  • my favorite game and watch game is vermin, i think my high score is 800 or so points, i have that on my dsi from the eshop, still have the original gameboy cart of it too.

  • I have to go to sleep...

but I can't resist watching CGR...

  • Of course it's poo! It's a sewer after all ;)

  • I remember this, my brother had this when I was really young.

  • Both Fire and Octopus are represented in Warioware Smooth Moves as microgames.

  • I remember playing this wehn i was 6 years old, it was fun for what it was.

  • 1:39 Mario Fucking Lugi ? WTf XD

  • @pawelx22 Hahahahahaha!

  • i may get it on my 3DS

  • I've watched enough hentai to know where that is going.

  • i demand popstation gallery !!

  • does the nintendo3ds version us both screens

    ?

  • game & watch gallery 2 was my first game boy color game ever

  • Take that kid I don't remember

  • Nice :) I used to play a Russian clone of Octopus back in the 80s... All those memories :)

  • A nother reason to get a 3ds

  • I love these! I had quite a few back in the 80's! much fun! great memories!

  • BUT THIS DOESN'T HAVE NEXT GEN GRAPHICS!!!

    or online multiplayer!!

I need something completely revolutionary and original... like a 1st person shooter that takes place in a apocalyptic wasteland with lots of mutants!!

  • This is a really fun game compilation!

    Certainly recommended!

  • Superb little game series!

  • Weegee.

  • YESSS, my favorite game!!!

  • part 4 is the best beacuse it has most of the games from part 1-3...

  • Why does Mario wear a diving suit? He doesn't need it to breathe underwater in the platform games. This makes me so angry.

  • i love the brick (gameboy original)

  • A WHOLE Dollar!!!!! Wow, these games keep getting more and more expensive :DDDD

  • i want this remade on 3ds :o

  • @designRpt It is on the 3DS Virtual Console

  • oH Noes ! that octopus is raping mario !!!

  • I loved this game as a kid

  • 3:00 I've Seen Enough Hentai to Know Where This Is Going

  • 2:58 Mario's seen enough hentai to know where this is going...

  • @DREADFALCON13 wahts hentai?

  • @itachi9374 Anime porn

  • @itachi9374 You don't want to know, I can tell that!

  • They did release a Game & gallery on the NDS, but it's only available from Club Nintendo, which is a shame as the NDS is built like a Game & Watch console so the look right at home on it.

  • "Man-Hole" hehehe...

  • i just found game and watch gallery 3 for £2.04!

  • In my opinion, the classic Game & Watch games ALWAYS looked like those old 1920s silent cartoons, like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit! For example, look at the classic Manhole character and look at Oswald when he clenches his teeth!
