  • MOnitor lizards...what happens when a snake grows feet basically...they're badass little guys too Steve Irwin used to jump them all the time and i remember him getting bloodied by them alot too XD and for everyone freaking out...this happens every day out there in nature. This guy was just lucky enough to see it.

  • I thought goannas were supposed to be vegetarian?

  • @AlienPossum LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL, nah they eat anything and everything, no matter how rotten or gross

  • @AlienPossum uuuuh NOPE. I think you were thinking of another lizard. Some are quite omniverous, or insectivores, but big goannas are predative. I mean, they'd probably eat some fruit if it was given to them, but they'd also happily eat your fingers if they could nab them off you.

  • wow another amazing dumbass!

  • Holy shit.... Dinosaurs do exsist O.O Fucking METAL!!! -.-'

  • Thats fukked up

  • wtf poor water dragon.!! but thats how life goes = ) beast up..

  • Monitor lizards pwnd the water dragon

  • come to the dark side! 0:15

  • AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! :-(

  • cool

  • As sad as it is, that is just the way nature works. Both are beautiful creatures, one just happens to be the predator and one the prey, accept it.

  • i want one of those as a pet... lol

  • wow. that is fucked up. im sorry but the chinese water dragon is alot better than that fuck a a lizard goanna. this is one stupid video

  • vous ete vraiment pourri

  • c'est nul !!!!!!!!!!!! cest pourri

  • Thanks for posting, footage of these australian predators is hard to find.

  • Man monitors are bad ass lizards, i saw one bite a part of a dudes pinkie off.

  • chased it for bout 30 maters

  • natural selection , odd thing is i have a bearded dragon thats HIGHLY agressive to anyone else but me and before we realised it would be agressive i watched my 26 inch beardi chase away a moniter about 3 times its size, looks like size doesnt matter, i hated the moniter tho, bit my knee cap -.-

  • If I were there, I'd kill the goana and make a belt out of it

  • get over it, if you don't like it don't look. Most of you have reptiles as pets, but you can't stand their natural instinct for survival which means eating other critters, it's the natural order of things....hypocrits! I LOVE A SUN BURNT COUNTRY AND I love and keep dragons (beardeds and easterns) and nature is nature....love it don't criticize it.

  • It's funny, Goanna even looks to be "strutting" as you say how amazing it is. Cool vid. :-)

  • @eastvan666666 I hate to be the bearer of bad news but in order to survive, certain types of animals have to eat other animals - humans, for example. On a serious note, the guy mentioned clear as day in the description (and clarified again to another guy at the top) that these are wild animals; it's not as if he pitted them against one another to film. On that note, I'm going to go have some steak. God help the man who tries to defend that cow.

  • there was a loud chase and attack which lasted about 10 sec'.. then I started filming.. after the attack it was too late, It just so happened I was there to see it and catch it on film.. its the natural order of things.. if I intervened it would have just been a waste.. both animals are wild..

  • this was a set up,just to film it...MONSTER!!!

  • @tmarinod100

once again, read the Bio people.. both animals were #wild# and it was filmed as I was there in the moment, around a backyard pond

  • dose any one really want to see this?????

  • this is really cool

  • its the way of the wild =the food chain and also you have WC and CB !

  • yea it kinda does suck to c it but it is life for them.

  • Dude this was so cool!

  • i hav a water dragon so it wuz sad 2 me.but the goanna haz 2 eat.2 all those pussies out there who say that hes mean and shouldnt hav put it on youtube,Look outside in ur own backyard.Animals r getting eatin everywhere.u just dont c it.ever heard of somthin cald NATURE!!!!

  • this is sad but this is nature=/

  • Bloody Goannas. They get into the chicken pen, makes the chickens go absolutely crazy ( which is fair enough). Than I have to run out and try and chase a 5-6 ft goanna away with a broom handle when im in my thongs and shorts. Its a funny seen cause the Goanna is almost as long as i am tall

  • Watched it three times. Brilliant. He got his lunch. Nature is amazing.

  • That is awesome, are you in NT?

  • @highihigh this was filmed about an hour out of sydney city, on a rural property

  • thats a nice looking asian water monitor i hope mine gets big soon.....i'll be putting one of his videos up hes only 2 months old XD

  • i have a water dragon...that sucks to watch for me

  • @teetsistheman No one in Australia keeps animals like those as pets. Best left in the wild.

  • @gnarkillkicksass well i can promise mine wont die from a goanna lol...

  • @gnarkillkicksass Actually I have a water dragon as a pet. If you have a reptile keeping licence, it's not hard at all.

  • Their bodies look like they're covered in stones and jewels. I like reptiles. Still, why would you want to grab one? Gonna eat it or something?

  • how large is your backyard

  • Water dragons and beardies are the natural food of australian monitors. As many others have stated: Circle of life. Instead of bitching about the video and wasting your time, why not just go elsewhere and be happy? Goddamn drama queens is what you all are! Save that shit for daytime television. Go watch your soaps you lipid-deficient FREAKS!

  • lizards rock

  • Some of you guys are so weird. ITS THE CIRCLE OF LIFE. Has anybody seen lion king? Just deal with it no one has to cuss or anything. Some of you guys should hear yourselves

  • look at him, he doesnt give a fuck... i'm eating.... take a picture it'll last longer lmao!!

  • Goanna's rock! coolest monitors on the planet!

  • @MrLuvaluva67 Yeagh they are awesome. I like Nile Monitors myself.

  • I guess being a Dragon doesn't get you very far when you can get eaten by a creature with a stupid name like a Gonad.

  • @tomwalker389 who's stupid now you can't spell *Goanna

  • i saw this happen with a water dragon (huge) and some sort of african bunny.... it was a very nice vacation >:D

  • aussie? :P

  • owned

  • ahh thank god its not a chinese water dragon phewww i have one, but i still love water dragons :) nature is awsome

  • i love reptiles and this did hurt me a bit BUT you pussys who say he shoudnt do it.....dont watch it, look away, its natural what are you going to walk up to this(im guessing lacie) and ask it not to eat meat..ya dickheads

oh and mate thats the technique for catching pretty much any lizard, i use it to catch

the"harmless" blue tongue who can inflict a nasty bite as i have experienced

  • i closed my eyes i have a pet water dragon :( lol...

  • thats a monitor not iguana

  • @DMTMASTA a GOANNA is Australian monitor lizard so your wrong and your right

  • i wana see this guy vs a full grown beardie that would be cool

  • @barneyistheshit99 ahh no the beardie would be fucking owned

  • NOW THIS IS NATURE. Im 100% against filming and broadcasting prey being eaten in a cage while twats protest the fact its nature while pointing out the user should hold the preys head down to ensure it doesnt bite or scratch back.

  • Wasn't much of a "vs." but still very interesting vid. Especially 2:40, that looked really bizarre, lol!

  • i love CWD, they sure do put on a show when I feed my pet CWD, but this is a crazy change!!!! i feel bad for the lil CWD, but hey, thats the way it is!!! now since this is in Australia, this is a AWD!!!! Australian Water Dragon!! there so rare and expensive in the states!!! and heres one in this guys back yard getting eatin!!! thats 250.00 in california to buy one!!!!

  • is this considered canibalism? do they normally eat those smaller lizards? o an im jealous i want an aussie accent

  • yo that isnt a guana and thats a gecko about 5 months old and that is a couson of the komado dragon y are u soo close that komado could attack u its not an guana

  • fucking awesome!

  • GOANNAH HUMPAH

  • wow....love water dragons but thats the circle =/. and that was also amazing

  • It's slurpin' up that tail like spaghetti, YUM!!! Damn Ive never seen a lizard that big before. But I live in Canada so there aren't really a lot of wild lizards. Just little ones. The only lizards Ive really ever seen (that were bigger than childs hand) were all harmless pets. I want to get a Chinese Water Dragon or somethin but My mom wont let me, she hates reptiles, insects, bassically anything other then a dog cat or hamster. lol

  • Nice clip, good to see its has annoyed some stupid vegans too. Good on the goanna for killing the water dragon which would have murdered heaps of other innocent animals including its babies if it had a chance lol.

  • there was a loud chase and attack which lasted about 10 sec'.. then I started filming.. after the attack it was too late, It just so happened I was there to see it and catch it on film.. its the natural order of things.. if I intervened it would have just been a waste.. both animals are wild..

  • @TRIPITARKA001 yeeeeeeaaa i understand what ur saying about them both being wild and not gonna keep them but i bet you could sell them at a local pet store (if their is one in australia) and mabye they would have took them but your right its a cylce it happenes everyday.

  • you shouldt have let her kil the water dragon., theyre the best pet animal like

  • That depends on the owner and the animal. Besides, if he had intervened, it still would have died.

  • well a wild animal prolly wouldnt be best pet?

  • @kruptedshooter This is a WILD water dragon. Wild water dragons are NOT friendly. Nor are wild beardies!

  • SWEET. GREAT footage

  • poor waterdragon.....

why u dont help this waterdragon ?? .. love WD

  • I loooooove Varanus rosenbergi.......

  • awesome man

  • australia...

  • woah

  • haha crunchy munchy

  • both of these animals are wild.

  • It's a fucking smaller species, this is the natural order of things.. Do you eat when you get hungry? I sure the fuck do.

  • Eat bigger things though. cows are always good.

  • @dschulten88 Not really. Water dragons are pretty fucking large when they get bigger thats clearly a baby.

  • @shukaku Actually I keep a nile monitor, you cant fucking tell me that a water dragon will get anywhere near as large as just about any monitor species. That's what sets monitors apart from other lizards, their size, and water dragons are pussy bitches anyway. Largest water dragon I've ever seen.. Maybe 2.5 feet long, longest Nile I've ever seen, 6+ feet...

  • @dschulten88 Wow your a fucking retard. Never said they are the same size when they get older you dumbass. Water dragons get to about 3ft and some just over. Minitors can get as long as 7 FUCKING FT AND OVER. What splits them apart isn't there size is the fact they are known for stealing croc eggs you dumbass. They use to run away when cros were around which alrted humans to leave the area as well. A 3 ft water dragon would put up much more of a fight dumbass

  • @dschulten88 i dont know

tuna's, cow's and many other animals are bigger than human but we still eating them

  • Good day mate. Aaaask Sheila to throw something on the baaaabie and have some tukka!!! That fucking accent....

  • The lacey fucked that EWD up!

    Nice capture!

  • @SerbianEagleCCCC Is that a lacey? why is their a water dragon their?by the way your name looks familiar-Documenting reality?

  • Gonna is a lacey- V. varius

    Water dragon-Physignathus lesueurii lesueurii

    Yeah that's me ;)

  • My error, totaly forgot there was an Austrailian water dragon as opposed to cocincinus. Either way I thought a ausie was eating a chinamen, threw me off a little and I spoke too soon.

Good call,Sounds like you know your shit!

  • I take that back after watching the video again. The goanna is actually V.Rosenbergii not V.varius

  • hard to tell when their juvies..

  • sure you would

  • Why is it not cool?? I reckon this is brilliant!!! My wife and i love reptiles. Although i reckon water dragons are awesome, this is nature at its best. This is what happens when theres usually nobody around. These wild animals dont eat pallets from the pet shop. And 200 years ago goannas were not at the top of the food chain either, the aborigines ate them all the time. Excellent video mate, well done.

  • why would you do that at all and then film it? water dragons are so cool!!!

  • it was a natural occurrence. the dragon lived outside my front yard, the attack was over in moments. it was not set up.

  • thanks mate

  • @NGiovenco101 heard about nature?

  • ide save the dragon =)

  • not cool

  • hey dude how can u tell its been eaten alive

  • i whouldnt get too close to the goanna while its got his food :)

  • dude poor dragon

  • yeah, he doesnt have the Lace's bandings but I thought that might jjust be coz he's an adolescent.. but now I look at him outside closer, he's/shes a 'Heath monitor'.. Ive got a tonne of local lace's as well tho.. and pythons that take out possums.. hehe :)

  • where about in australia was that taken?:)

  • about an hour NW of Sydney.. I thought it was an adolescent lace monitor, but could be wrong. It was a one in a million shot.. it just so happened I had my camera taking photos of a large wild diamond python I was handling who was chillin' out in one of my ponds at the time and turned to see the hunt and chase!.. 30m full pace run.. looked like it belonged on the savanna.. hehe.. stay in touch.. ~R

  • yeah nah its a heath monitor,and he's an adult..not to sure if its a he tho..nah def not a lace,i have a lace:)..its a Varanus Rosenbergii....

  • hahaha...thats crayzi!!thats awsome..iz that Heath monitor?

  • yes it sure is a heath monitor or rosenberg monitor.
