  • 13 people are cunts

  • The lyrics to this song are wrong everywhere on the net. The second line of the first verse is apparently "Shoulders, legs, knees, and back." on the internet. I reckon it's "Shoulders, legs, knees, and MOUTH" Listen carefully!

  • the music and his voice when he sings "i used to fly like peter pan" sends a shiver down my spine

  • most happy song of radiohead?

  • @misupertest Most happy song would probably be "Happy song" by Radiohead.

  • Now, I respect even people who listen to Nickelback, but I think everyone can agree that Radiohead is simply better quality music. Who ever calls anything "fucking exquisite" in the comments to a Nickelback song?

  • and.. I used to fly like peter pan.. all the children flew when I touched their hands! I say you've got to feel it in your bones :)

  • I don't care if i'm called a hipster for liking radiohead<3

  • @sircowen Radiohead is incredibly popular. don't worry. Hipsters are into obscure things.

  • That opening bass sound is fucking exquisite!

  • favorite song on the bends :)

  • whenever i listen this album my mind BENDS inside my head...

  • i was trying to listen to fake plastic trees but skipped to this... that mistake helped me find my new favorite song. :)

  • @MsAbk98 why not start from song 1 the whole album is an experience :)

  • The beginning of Bones always reminds me of How Soon is Now, by The Smiths.

  • @TheYogiBunnie it was probably heavily influenced by The Smiths. Thom Yorke has made no secret of his love for them.

  • i prefer much recent radiohead but i do miss that wonderful guitar from JG.

  • We might have missed what our parents called rock n' roll, but they missed Radiohead!

  • @klewieblu your comment made my night.

  • Una de las mejores canciones de The Bends

  • I always get flamed by In Rainbows lovers for saying The Bends is the best. Don't get me wrong IR was phenomenal, played it on loop for 3 weeks after it came out. But seeing as how I've been a RH fan since 96, and these twerps have been listening from 08...well then.

  • @SirGeorge8600 first heard of radiohead in 05 with kid a, that was my favorite album till i heard IR, then i heard this and how its my favorite album

  • @SirGeorge8600 I always liked the Bends more than any other Radiohead album, and I really started listening to them in 08

  • @SirGeorge8600 Same here, this album got me really into RH. "Creep", not so much. It was cool, but Street Spirit was the song that made me a fan :)

  • radiohead is like a love affair that never ends..

  • The riff that starts at 1:03 in this song is a ripoff of the riff in Muse's Sober.

Go listen to the 0:41 mark of Muse's Sober to hear where the original idea came from. This again proves that Muse are the true innovators.

  • @jibblychupos this is from 1995, muse's song is from 1999. idiot -_-

  • @jibblychupos It must be sad and lonely where you are.

  • @jibblychupos jajaja.

Gringo tonto, ubicate en el tiempo.

  • @jibblychupos Actually try researching the albums you want to talk about before trying to put your pitiful little artist up against Radiohead.

  • @jibblychupos hahahah i laugh so hard reading ur statement dude...MUSE? innovators?LOLOLLLLL

  • @jibblychupos dude, The Bends release date: march 1995. Muse,s Showbiz release date : October 1999.

  • One of my favorite songs on this album, the Bends is so fucking good

  • I never got how Radiohead got a name for having depressing music. Everything they touched turned golden. 'The Bends' should be hanging in the Louvre under armed guard; it's the masterpiece of our generation. And if that album didn't exist, then 'OK Computer' would be in it's place. It was a great time to be a music fan.

  • @hillman39 I agree!

  • Oh wow... wow... wow... wow... v_v

  • I'm 23 and I feel old listening to this song. Anyone feel the same?

  • One of my fave songs of this LP. Bends is seriouse class. Thjough all their LP's are.

  • Means 'the first among equals', and because there are lots of ways available or inflicted that make you stop feeling life in your bones; that anguish was once mine too. So I love that song, for words and for the music that makes you feel it. PS: Bones better now.

  • Every song on The Bends is my favourite, but this one primer inter pares. Cause everyone has bones.

  • @medeia1963 First phras OK; second: Not content with explanation!

  • the intro sounds so cool with headphones on

  • ricky gervais sent me here a while ago, i came back.

  • @Young1988au

Really? What was the context of his referral?

  • @TheOKAY

it was in a podcast of his which i cant find, here's a list of the songs he mentioned though.

the comment at the bottom refers to the same podcast. If you have luck in finding it let me know!

  • @TheOKAY

ahh, i couldnt link it. Just search up Ricky Gervais iPod playlist, it should be on a GQ website.

  • radiohead needs to get more exercise, eat healthier and take their prozac. problem solved.

  • What the hell... they don't have a single bad song! Every song is incredibly amazing and special!!

  • love this one

  • woohooo, instant earworm satisfaction, love you interwebz =))

  • Bass sound :>

  • knock knock

    who's there?

    NOT R.E.M.

  • Eleven people can't feel it in their bones.

  • "AND I USED TO FLY LIKE PETER PAAANNN...."

  • hey guys, this song is played on guitar with a wah-wah effe?

  • @tOxIcItIzeN1 i think it's more like a vibrato effect

  • @ZAMXDvideos its tremolo or a killswitch on johnnys guitar

  • Pure class. I prefer this to their electronic stuff.

  • I hear REM influence in this, anyone with me?

  • @CrappyLetsPlaysRUs Yes, it does remind me of Monster-era REM.

  • @CrappyLetsPlaysRUs yess sometimes it reminds me R.E.M guitar :)

  • Peta Pan oh my.

  • This song is simply great, great, great!!!

  • god knows i've fucking missed this album ;)

  • 11 people don't feel it in their bones.

  • Nice bass line :)

  • Heavily influenced by the Stone Roses!

  • Awesome song..

    u also might wanna try

    Watermind - "Not Again"

    long live for RADIOHEAD!!!

  • the bends = best lp ever recorded!

  • @franneck1989 agreed. this cd is amazing.

  • @franneck1989 Not a chance. Great song though.

  • @franneck1989 Best LP ever recorded is Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada

  • @franneck1989 According to RYM

  • oh my god this kid jibbly likes that much radiohead dick because he has been commenting on all the radiohead the bends songs. dude your the biggest disapointment of humanity but a bigger loser for muse(who sucks dick)

  • @Rlucio21 dude thats mean

  • he look this guy is a wierd, strange, moody artist that writes dark and pessimistic songs lets worship him!

  • @diekontrolleure ALL, WORSHIP THOM YORKE! BEST RELIGION EVER!

  • Pay no attnetion to jibbly, he constantly does this, if you look at his comments, he has no life and spends all his time typing those kinds of comments and never replying back, so you might as well reply back to a brick wall.

  • @jibblychupos Considering The Bends came out 4+ years before Showbiz, I'd suggest that you have your alleged plagiarism in reverse. Fortunately, the tracks don't sound that much alike.

  • @stubkar I was about to say, Overdue wasn't even written until 1998, let alone released. Both Muse and Radiohead are fantastic bands, though now I've grown older, Radiohead tops my list by a long shot!

  • @jibblychupos respectfully, you're an idiot, these songs sounds nothing alike, you're a shame for the muse & radiohead fans

  • @jibblychupos hes right!!!! and the beatles stole from the jonas brothers!!!

  • @jibblychupos Ahh, well if you weren't so fucking dumb you'd know that Radiohead came a shit-long time before Muse. Here's the difference between the two bands: Radiohead-amazing. Muse-a pile of wet carrots topped with shit sprinkles. So don't ever compare the two again and actually know what you're talking about first dumbass.

  • @jibblychupos Obvious troll is obvious.

  • @aRubberSoul all your meme are belong to nerd

  • @jibblychupos this was out before overdue

  • @jibblychupos idiot

  • Actually, even if OK computer was a ripoff of pink floyd, it was ok, i liked it to some extent. But I'm not even talking about Kid A, what an abysmal ripoff of aphex twins that is, hailf to the thief is great, and in rainbows is also amazing

  • @RazorsharpLT Kid A is a "abysmal ripoff" of Aphex Twins? Do explain.

  • The bends is a fucking masterpiece of originality

OK computer is just a pink floyd rip off.

  • @RazorsharpLT OK computer is nothing like Pink Floyd. Influenced by them, maybe.

  • I love this one!!!

  • The ending reminds me of knights of cydonia :D

  • The beginning reminds me of how soon is now? by the smiths. Its fucking awesome!

  • this is their best album. I don't have low standards for music, and I'm very impressed!

  • I admit I am late in appreciating and enjoying Radiohead...forgive me..lol...but as a starter, what album would you recommend I get?

  • @jakeelee904 Bless your heart. Glad you found the Radiohead, though. To answer your question, it's "Kid A" or "Amnesiac" for me, "Pyramid Song" and "How to Disappear Completely" are probably two of my all-time favorite songs. But other Radiohead purists might come out of the woodshed "seeing red" with my statement.

  • @jakeelee904 follow radiohead's evolution over time. listen to all albums. the bends is about rebellion from creep. ok computer gets farther away from pop. kid a/amnesiac total rebellion. hail to the thief political statement. in rainbows is personal and pure radiohead

  • @jakeelee904 I would say Kid A and OK Computer are the best albums to start with. For songs, check out Talk Show Host, Idioteque, Subterranean Homesick Alien, Street Spirit, Creep, Optimistic and There There just to get a great sample.

  • @jakeelee904 I'd say the Bends is the most accessible for a newcomer since it's all guitar rock, but my personal favorite is OK Computer. Kid A is amazing too if you're up for some weirdness and don't mind some electronic mixed in. In Rainbows was their latest release and it sounds really modern, so you might like that since they were so experienced when they made it. Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief are also great, although they might not be the best for a newcomer since they're pretty different.

  • @aRubberSoul My favorites are Kid A (I really like that weirdness), and OK Computer. I saw the In Rainbows concert, was totally hypnotizing!

  • @jakeelee904 radiohead is uckin amazing ill tell yah that. OK Computer is amazing. and by your username i know for sure youre a ozzy fan that goes for bark at the moon and/or ultimate sin, which is one of my fav ozzy albums. radio head dont sound like ozzy at all, however like ozzy they got some stuff that sounds like shit, however OK Computer and this album, the bends

  • i've had a broken leg for a while now and i'm totally starting to feel this way, even though it's about someone way more crippled than i am

  • the bends is amazing.... but In Rainbows??? phenomenal :)

  • "I used to fly like Peter Pan, all the children flew when I touched their hand"...love that line!

  • @doubleder haha I always thought it was all the children flew in a toxic haze

  • @doubleder pedo?

  • @doubleder makes you kinda creepy

  • @Godfatherofstupid your name says it all...

  • @doubleder I know.

  • @doubleder Reminds me of a pedophile.

  • I wonder how many of you enjoy Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief....

  • @LicoriceLain Because we think they're good? Personally, I think Hail to the Theif is beautiful, and Kid A isn't THAT good, but just widen your mind a bit.

  • @OnlyVideoGuyOnEarth I personally find Kid A to be the best, with Hail to the Thief and Amnesiac tied for second. As for broadening minds, it is. And I have no issue with people not liking any of those albums. I just get the feeling that the fanboys of early Radiohead never gave the later albums a real chance, ya know? I gave The Bends a fair chance and there is a few songs from it I genuinely like. :]

  • @LicoriceLain I do...you?

  • love the bends

  • So fucking epic

  • My Opinion:

    1. The Bends

  • @pawibe hahaha nice one :)....

Hail To The Chief?? you mean Thief?? haha

  • @xXxDaNgErMouSE93xXx

epic one from me, i guess. could become a classic.

but in fact (and i didn't know before) "hail to the Thief" has something to do with "hail to the Chief" in combination with bush's victory in 2000.

  • @pawibe

its a really good album, its just not really not my style though :/

  • @xXxDaNgErMouSE93xXx it's a prog rock record lolz

  • @xXxDaNgErMouSE93xXx ok computer/how am i driving? is the best RH album

  • @11joshman

do you think?? i really like OK Computer its an outstanding album, and i really really really love the tourist, but the bends was the first Radiohead album i bought, so im mot likely gonna have that as my fav, if i bought OK Computer first that would prob be my favourite

  • @xXxDaNgErMouSE93xXx to be sincere kid a is better than ok computer and the bends ok computer is overrated in my opinion don't get me wrong it's a great album but it gets too much hype i even think the bends is better

  • @11joshman

josh whatever your opinion is man (: dont let anyone tell ye your wrong :) hahaha, wow that sounded really gay :L

  • @xXxDaNgErMouSE93xXx wat cha mean

  • @11joshman

as in if kid a or ok computer or whatever is your fav album its your fav album and your not wrong?? ha

  • @xXxDaNgErMouSE93xXx i never said i was right or wrong i'm just giving my opinion do you have radiohead's amnesiac college ep?

    it KICKS ASS

  • @11joshman

amnesiac college EP?? never heard of ill look it up!!!

  • @xXxDaNgErMouSE93xXx it's a rare ep it's the b sides from amnesiac i just have the collectors edition of amnesiac and it has the b sides

  • @CommandoChurro

That's better than saying "6 people pushed the wrong button" ;)

  • @CommandoChurro i crack up every time i see that... true though!

  • bobbyroana? andy?! you little troll!

  • LOVE the spinning out/fading out guitar effect on this song!!

  • @dangleberry9628 Ya the tremulator is pretty fun

  • me enkanta radiohead pero eso de i used to fly like peter pan seme ase muy gay jajajjj

  • @44rammstein44 Vos estas loco, es un castillo de naipes este tema, le sacas una silaba y se cae a pedazos. Es perfecto

  • @thesedays1985 jajajj naaa todo chido menos eso de peter pan

  • @MarubethSheckler Seriously, are spammers this lazy that spam bots can't check if what they're spamming is even relevant to the video

  • I'm off to Worksop.

  • The verses act like some kind of early warning siren. The chorus unexpectedly really rocks as if being deliberately reminiscent of 3 chord 1970s rock. The Bends, my favourite Radiohead album overall, was celebrated at the time and is just as achingly fresh now. OK Computer generally subdues feelings in to abstraction or resigned hopelessness, The Bends is a reminder about the rawness of why those feelings exist. Bones is an outstanding song on an outstanding album.
