@oskarikful Usually around 15-20cm from the soundhole pointing towards the bridge, slightly angled.
This is not ideal as the guitar booms a bit, you need to have it at least 20-25cm away from the guitar and preferable lower than the guitar on an angle to avoid booming.
However as my room is not properly sound proofed, the further away I move from the mic the more I hear the natural reverb of the room the interferes with the direct sound of the guitar making the overall sound thinner.
@tdubbs026 Everything switch/setting being in the middle. I used the cardioid pattern however the most naturally sound pattern is the omnidirectional but I cannot use it in my room as it starts picking up the reverb from my room which interferes with the direct sound of the guitar so it has to be the cardioid with all other settings in the middle. I consider modifying this mic by some guy in the states as I find it a bit hyper on the high frequencies for nylon-string guitars.
@kregerm The first song is called "I will come at your feet Lord Jesus", haven't got music or anything for it. Some of the chords are from an Al di Meola tune. The second is called " Turn your eyes upon Jesus". The third is a sond by "sevensharpeleven" called "Much more" or "When the Acoustic Guitar meets the Looper". Thanks.

Really nice sound, I have that same mic. May I ask that how far is the mic from the guitar?

Very nice sound, what is your recording setup?
confusedandbemused 6 months ago
@confusedandbemused Rode NT2-A mic running through an M-Audio 1010 soundcard recording on Cubase.
All Reverbs native to Cubase where compression via a UAD PCI card, mainly for an LA2 preamp.
