My Great Great Grandfather died at Andersonville. He was with the 148th Pa. Regt. He was captured at Petersburg. He starved to death there. His grave is still there.
My mom actually helped with this movie, she helped with the animal wrangler crew. Some of our hounds were in the prison break scene. Anyway, where can I get the movie.
Very cool.. I was an extra in this film. I was stationed in Ft. Benning Georgia at the time and they would bus us there over the weekend and pay us $60 a day. Well anyway, thanks for posting this, brings back memories.
I was in this movie. It was an amazing experience. I am producing and acting in a film about PTSD and the soldiers suffering from it. My name is Kyle Hester. Please friend me on face book. \

This is a really good movie, depicting the life in the Andersonville prison,in Andersonville,Ga.We visited the actual historical site of this prison, and it was quite humbling to stand on the very ground where such acts took place. We also went into the visitors center and spoke with a couple of park rangers there.I asked them as to the accuracy of the movie and they said it was extremely accurate.Only a little dramatics were added simply because it is a movie.I reccommend this to anyone to watch.
Hey what's the name of the solo banjo song that the one guy is playing at night? I can't find it anywhere, but it is a sadder and quieter song. If you don't know the name then can you at least send me the lyrics?

I watched this the other day in history and I LOVED it. It's hard to believe that things like that actually happened.
