  • He's like the English Chuck Norris, but rather than using his fists, he'd use sharp wit, clever banter, and a revolver hidden in his well-tailored jacket pocket.

  • @cqtaylor Nice. :) Tell that to the troll who commented on my fan vid for the JACKAL. He didn't find Fox suitable for the role, and I think someone like Chuck Norris was exactly what he had in mind instead.

  • Brilliant! Wonderful and thoughtful integration of Fox's films and this wonderful song. Cheers.

  • @simonsbuddy Thank you very much! I'm rather fond of this video myself, so I'm pleased to know that you got what I was trying to do and enjoyed it.

  • "Death to all tyrants!" LOL. :D

I love this video, you did a great job!! I just LOVE Edward Fox, he's got such charming smile and beautiful, deep blue eyes :)) Thank you for this video and I love the song too :)

  • @Ancsury Thank you, glad you like it! You might enjoy checking out some more vids on my channel then. :-)

  • Hi what is the name of the film or tv program (or the name of the girl) at 1:28 and 2:55 thanks for sharing

  • @paravertv13 My pleasure. ... The girl is Linda Thorson, as Tara King in the TV series THE AVENGERS, episode "My Wildest Dreams". ... Sorry, I thought that the description would be enough to find it.

  • @aplantage thanks for your reply. The description was clear enough but I did not know too much about the Av. series

  • I love this song, and have a special connection. My late Brother Paul Roberts recorded this at Drone Recording Studios Chorlton Manchester in either the late 1970's or early 80's. John Peel used to play it at the time.Paul Roberts was a very talented graphic artist, and musician in his own right. He recorded many of the Manchester acts at the time, including the Buzzcocks, Magazine,The Smiths,Lisa Stansfield, and Black Grape to name a few. Sadly missed.....

  • @1965thewho It's a great song in every regard. Thanks very much for sharing your personal connection with it.

  • what a Brilliant Character Liked him in all his movies but day of the jackal is tops. thanks for posting

  • @cpnstav My pleasure! Indeed, he's quite something. Absolutely unique. Love the Jackal too, so I made another tribute just for that.

  • 4:10 I cannot even BEGIN to tell you how much my family quotes that!

At least now I know where it's from... XD

  • @RockRebel219 It's been used before that, almost like a saying. I don't know where it's originally from. It must go back a long way, because the Greeks thought that killing tyrants was legitimate. But the way Mr Fox says it is very memorable. :-)

  • One of the greatest actors of all time.I recently saw him play as Anthony Trollope on stage, amazing.

  • @1815ish Hey, so glad you agree! And I saw TROLLOPE too!

  • His daughter is the most attractive woman alive.

  • @binitials Most of the Fox family members seem to have some kind of sex appeal gene. :-)

  • at least credit the band when you rip off their musuic

  • @aweemannie At least read the comments before you make such insulting accusations. And tributes are not a ripoff of anything.

  • Hilarious but very well done. I love the double entendre and his delayed reaction to Kim Novack's comment. Thanks for this video on my favorite actor!

  • @novascot60 Thank you very much! So glad you enjoyed. If I were pressed to pick one favorite, I would choose him too. He's priceless in MIRROR, and I love that particular scene and his reaction very much as well. One can read every thought. Notice also the wardrobe girl who's looking at him and grinning from ear to ear throughout. :-)

  • Thank you for telling me about the James Fox video !

  • @Mavrilon My pleasure! I like E just as much, and discovered him first. E is more a character actor, J a leading man. Hence E has had fewer large parts, much less romantic ones. J's kind of looks make him a more likely heartthrob (he might have become an even bigger star if he had not taken a break). E had to work at it a bit harder. But in the right role, and when he wanted to be, he could be ... um ... "as hot as a pistol" (as his character says of Geraldine Chaplin in MIRROR). :-)

  • Where is the video for James Fox ?

  • @Mavrilon I put the link in the description of this one (click on the arrows below the video on the right). You can also find it by browsing the uploads on my channel. It's called "Oh ... definitely! (James Fox tribute)". There are also tributes for THE SERVANT, PERFORMANCE and DUFFY.

  • Please do a tribute to Edward's younger brother,.actor ( William) James Fox as well.

  • @Mavrilon I already have. :-)

  • How short, really.

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA I assume you mean my video, and not Mr Fox. I guess that's better than too long. LOL The song wasn't any longer.

  • Glorious tribute to a fine example of manliness and chipped tooth charm. Perfect teeth are for wimps....love it. Groovy song too.

PS...dammit is that Kim Novak at 250.

  • @zerokomma 1) Yes, that's Kim Novak. 2) The Smack song is fiendishly clever. 3) The man is perfect, chipped tooth and all. :-)

  • Superbe hommage à Edward Fox ! Encore bravo mon ami !

  • @davidfromlille Merci beaucoup! As the man says, "Well, one tries to do one's best." (He has said that in interviews too.) Edward Fox has made so many films that I don't think I'll ever be able to see them all. Pity. He is always highly entertaining, even in the smallest of roles.
