The part # is 16786 and it's the entire exhaust system. Although Magnaflow can include a catalytic converter it's not worth it. The converter won't make it sound better and won't increase the HP or Torque. Use the Mazda Factory catalytic cause it makes no difference. Out of all the catbacks out there this one has more hp and torque. Racing Beat 4.75 hp, Borla 5 hp and this one 6.75 hp. Add 7 hp more w/ a takeda short ram intake and plug in the throttle a tornado for 2 hp more.

There is one central Magnaflow exhaust system for this car, not multiple types, And for this car there is two types of AEM intakes, Cold Air and Short Ram. But other than that I'm not aware of any other variation. Of course there's different brands but AEM is fairly solid (in my opinion) and Magnaflow is great for the price. Hope that helps.
there all the same.. only thing that can be different on the exhaust is the tip you chose and depending on the aem cai is depended on your engine size (2.0, 2.3)
@zachtaiji its a cat-back. only thing magnaflow produces for the mzd3 is a cat-back or you can be extra cheap and just get a muffler. the cat back is nice though i loved mine
@FetusMeatGrinder it's a four inch dual wall tip but I'm not sure what the part# is as it was part of a whole kit. Check out magnaflow's website though.
yea man that sounds nice... not too loud but real deep. im gettin an injen cai on my 04 mazda 3 gt hatch soon... then when i have more money a magnaflow cbe. the injen intake adds 15hp alone, then with the cbe im hopin ill be going at like 180-190hp.
@MurrMan23 you can expect 10-20 hp gain with CAI + CBE. you should push around 175 hp with that set up. if you get a professional tuning and a chip you might possibly get 180 out of it.

i just put mine the other day and i like that deep sound of it!! awesome... they had to get rid of the oem muffler in the middle so it would make a sound. and what i like most is i only hear it when i put some gas...

A little but it's hard to say because I did the exhaust just after the CAI. I can tell you between the two of them, a big difference.

It has the magnaflow resinator, muffler, and 4" magnaflow tip with mandrel bent tubes inbetween...
it sounds even better when it gets nice and warm.
