僕もツナ缶をじか食いしたくちですが（笑）
監督のジョージ・ミラーは オーストラリア版西部劇を作りたかったそうですが 以前見た西部劇で桃缶をじか食いしてるのを見た事があります。（おつゆもじか飲みしてた）
このシーンは その影響もあるのかなと思ってます。
