I believe she was murdered. The murder became friends with Devi. The murder somehow got a copy of Devi house key without Devi knowledge. The murder put drugs in her drink without Devi knowledge making her inoperative to struggle against the murder when choking Devi to death. When Devi died, The murder set Devi up to make it look like Devi hung Devi in Devi house. The murder cleaned up Devi house and left through garage door, But copy of key was bad broke off on lock of door on murders way out.

Which means a psych was treating her - So she was seeing a so-called specialist!
Problem is that xanax is not effective for the treatment of depression, (in fact, it's not effective for much other than the loss of brain cells)
