Tegan did say in an interview with Spin that Tegan and Sara almost broke up because they had gotten into a huge fight (over an interview Sara didn't want to do) and it got to a point where Sara hauled off and punched Tegan. Tegan hit her back three times then said she didn't think she wanted to be in the band anymore. They were under a lot of stress at the time because Sara had just broken up with Emy and their Europe tour was going bad.
@himynamesbrianna it was Spin magazine, it was on google books. I remember it had Thom Yorke on the cover. It's actually the most amazing and open interview. They give a lot of insight into their relationship. It must be insanely hard to do what they do at times. I'm glad they've worked through their problems though.

i really like what sara does to the song when she's singing lead. it's definitely sara-ized. just sad/unfortunate about the circumstances that led to her singing it :(

i was at the show. and i was disapointed by it. late, no encore, no banter... i didnt realise that Tegan was upset. So i take it all back. i cant believe someone would break her heart... i bet it was Kaki... anyway. i hope they re comming again in the summer

I think you should take this down out of respect for them. Just imagine them coming across this.. I doubt it's something either one would like to relive (especially knowing that so many others have seen it)

I personally think that this video was recorded in a respectful way compared to others that I have come across. It looks as though the majority of footage is focused on Sara and when tegan turns around the camera does not focus on her- notice it drifts to the side away from tegan then up and over to sara again. Its not like the poster has zoomed in on tegan just to capture it. Others I've seen mainly focused on Tegan with a little bit of sara.
maybe everyone should flag this video as spam and get it taken down. i know i did. this is an invasion of privacy, somewhat. yeah, they are 'famous' etc, but would you want a video of you like this up? have some respect....
i'm sorry but... we don't know the reasons this happened. i feel it's kind of weird that it's even up ont he net and i also feel bad for watching it. maybe it should be taken down? i wouldn't want a video showing me in a vulnerable state like this circuling the internet...
