Great rare footage! The 2 piece outfit is especially nice to see. First time I have seen him remove the jacket in a stage performance. The You Gave Me a Mountain track is incorrect with the footage. The music that should be playing in that short sequence is You've lost that lovin' feelin'. This is right after he takes the jacket off! Thanks for the post. It was fun to watch!
Elvis looked like he was dancing onstage to me. Just because he didn't use a chorus of backup dancers doesn't make him any less of a dancer than Michael Jackson. The only difference is that Elvis didn't have as high an opinion of himself as Jackson did.
perhaps i am just misinterpretting some of the comments here, but it sounds as if some folks here on youtube (not necessarily on this post, but throughout) are overly critical of the quality of some vids. we should all be extremely grateful for all of the video we would otherwise NEVER see if not for the kind folks posting them - high quality or not...i mean how cool is it that vids like this are here to see... just an observation
I think these people are idiots who don't understand what super 8mm is or that it was the only technology available to the average person at the time. Perhaps these trolls think you could just grab a digital camera in '72 and film away.
wow great quaility for 72 ... opity digital tech was not around back then given hiw many concerts he did the archive wud be amazing

Is this Elvis ???????????? Obviously the singing is, but the film footage looks extremely dubious.

Was this shot with sound film?

Nope, you see Elvis sings "You've lost that lovin' feelin'" while you hear "You Gave Me a Mountain"....
