Could anyone recommend a good Lully compilation, available in the U.S.? I enjoy his music as much as Handel.

I find "Lully - Les Divertissements de Versailles" performed by Les Arts Florissants very good (Erato Disques/Warner Classics 2002) though I don't know what the connaisseurs think of it. Available on Amazon if not found in your local music store. Enjoy!

I discovered this movie and Lully's music one month ago: just wonderful...

You can find it on amazon. The composer is Jean Baptiste Lully and the movie is Le Roi Danse. Also I recommend the soundtrack of the movie and all of his music.

it's a french excelent movie so you'better viewing in version french & subtitle in english. there's another french movie called "Tous les matins du monde" it's about marais's life

I'm glad this movie was made, but as far as I can tell, the editing is pretty bad. It's always cutting back and forth between the dance and the audience. For that reason, I wouldn't buy it.
