  • Roger Doucet always did the best version of Oh Canada at Montreal Canadien Games

  • he was good but he said three times "we stand on guard for thee"

  • @skinwalkerxxx There were many different versions to the English lyrics of O Canada.

  • The Forum memories!

  • Ah the old lyrics to Oh Canada without the idiotic addition of "God keep our land" which was mysteriously added without debate in 1980?? Why would a secular country do that at a time when religion was on the wane in the country?? bizarre!

  • Send chills down my spine.

Grew up in the seventies here in Montreal

  • I was at an Expos game in early September 1982 and there were over 57,000 fans at that game! That was back in the days when the ownership of the team gave a shit about winning and what they put on the field. That was before the Jeffery Lorias came along and ruined the franchise. Olympic stadium was a good stadium for baseball when the team had good management and there was a winning team on the field. build a winner and they will come.

  • @TheGuysmily

You better tell the MLS that.

  • Awesome! BTW, 'O Canada' became your official national anthem in 1980. Anyhow, thanks for the upload. Greetings from 'the land of the free and the home of the brave': the United States of America!

  • Believe it or not montrealers did support their other teams, isn't this video proof of that. The expos also did very well for many years.
