This is the last piano concerto form W. A. Mozart. This extremely great work joins the aspects that I enjoy most of Mozart's music: his childful, careless way of composing, those beautiful arpegios and scales, perfect armonies, whit a few dark moments. It reunites his initial young stile, with the maturity of his last period.
I bought this CD in Australia, becuase this is very special to me. The reason being, it is the LAST piano Concerto ever written by Mozart. He died after a while, leaving his Requiem unfinished. What genius was Mozart! I have enjoyed his piano concertos always, as they have an andante with a Rondo as well. So there is a fast paced, with slow and an allegro always. I may never be an accomplished pianist, i am 30 now. But my love for piano will ALWAYS BE. Thanks and God Bless for posting! AMEN
What a flat performance!! BLEHH. Absolutely tepid. The panist is utterly steile---suprising for a guy who mkes so many faces while he plays.Maybe if he concentrated on his musical performance and less on his "visual show" he'd play better. And the orchestra is no better!! They play like they are tired---tired physically, and tired of the music as well.No enthusiasm! You can just look at them and tell they're not that excited to be playing this piece.
@angelmrpaul Well, since you like watching this piano player slobber all over himself while he plays Mozart and make "Orgasm faces",why not just watch some gay porn? You'd probably enjoy that even more. LOL
@angelmrpaul LOL--I'm soooo sorry I hurt your feelings.I didnt realize you were so in love with this piano player!!And no,I'm not gay.Sorry, you'll have to keep loooking.Tho I'm pretty sure it is YOU who are in the closet, not me.Why do you care if someone doesnt like this video,or thinks the piano player is making too many faces?HEY NEWSFLASH Bible thumper, Its still a free country, and I have the right to free speech.I'm sorry you dont like that. You need to learn tolerance. Now get back to church!
Can somebody Kindly Tell me what Key is the Movement three of K.595 in ? Is there any modulation in keys? If possilbe, please state the bar numbers. I seriously need some help here. Help appreciated thanks!
It's hard for me to grab the concept of knowing that this is the last movement to a piano concerto Mozart ever got to write....It really does make me cry.....
This is an amazing performance by a fantastic pianist-he has such a light and vigorous touch.I enjoy being able to see his fingers and facial expressions. It's a pity so many stupid comments have been posted about this.
Omg that Bosendorfer is just so brilliant sounding. I've listened to and have played many pianos, but none can compare to Bosendorfer in tonal quality nor in playability.
listen to the narration at the end of this footage. It is among the most touching and inspiring words ever on a musicwork and on a genius. Mozart himself is one of the greatest puzzles in the entire human history. How could such universality and omniscience and sublime genius all emerge from the banal, mundane and often troubled daily life like his? But he had kept his heart always innocent, as pure as gold, it shines till the eternity. Love.
@foupoisson So true! This concerto is one of the true wonders of western music, this movement isn't happy at all, it's heartbraking. Whenever I hear it, it reminds me of his ghastly lonely last years. The days of his own concertos was far away, he played this one in a totally forgotten clarinettists' concerto. Humiliation, but what a divine spirit to compose music like this in his hardest times! Previn and Madzar are great, they capture Mozarts spirit perfectly.
This man willl becone famous for hs Mozart playing.the slow movement ws done so honestly adn beautifully. His touch is pure and glorioussound through out .His shaping of phrase as fine as have ever heard inclPires,Uchida,Perahia.
What the heck has this guy been SMOKING???? I want some. // Great performance, even if a tad over the top in the "Let's see how blissed out and dreamy-eyed i can look while doing the Much Magic Mozart thing. Gotta admit that Andre Previn looks surprisingly like Mr. Bean at times, but he's always been one of my fav concuctors. // Thanks for posting this wonderful performance to YouTube.
This movement is on a par with the other 2, that is total geniality. I can't let go of the thought that instead of playing his own academy like he used to, he was let in as number 5 or 6 on a clarinettplayers academy...
A year before when his subscribtion lists were sent around he got ONE name on it. 1984 it had been 176. A year after this concertos writing, he was dead, no grave.
k595 is a miracle and this version is a miracle...Previn you are great...
This is sad that I'm the first to comment on this amazing video... It's beautiful! Bosendorfers are one of the best pianos (in my opinion), and Mozart was a genius. Add a small orchestra, and and the result is this video.
