  • The problem is that the guy has the power to get out but the weight on the other trailer doesnt let the truck to move . its like tractorpulling more the weight of the sled moves forward it becomes a deadweight for the tractor and he cant pull the weight any more . in this case he has weight on the truck and that is good but the trailer becomes a dead weight and the truck doesnt have traction to move both .

  • @Jobergg Jag tycker att den rullar ganska lätt, så det borde inte vara något problem. Han nöter bara upp kopplingen. Jag kör själv och har kört fast några gånger, och det brukar inte vara något problem.

    I det fall ska du koppla släp bort, flytta dragare 45-90 i vinkel jämfört till släp/dragstång. Då kopplar du släp igen - du kan även använda kort vaijer mellan krok och dragstång.

    Nu (när du drar först bara dragstång från sidan till sidan) får du själva bilen i rörelse och har kopplingspedal fullt UPP före det kräver "primitivt kraft" att ta släp loss.

    Det var säkert "byebye koppling" där.

  • I would just clutch in and out, which would risk blwoing the transmission, rocking the truck back and forth until the truck rocks itself out of the small pit.

    Also, I'm not trying to troll, or nothing, but this is why I'd rather have a tandem drive truck. They're much better in these types of situations.

  • And wasn't the driver supposed to dig sand in front of the stuck wheels and make a gradual long ascending slope? That helps most of the times! Great engine specs, miserable chassis.

  • Damn fools - I've had to recover vehicles bogged worse than that by idiots - first step is to dig the raised 'berm' in front of the front wheels away and then dig away the sides of the hole the rear wheels have dug out. Then you can usually crawl out in low 1st - keep rpm down as it's easy to burn the clutch out, as that guy is going to!

  • @aziz3686 I agree. The drive shaft is rocking. They aren't going to get out doing the same thing over and over again. They need to try something else. If it fails the first time, its going to fail again.

  • I hear a whole lot of noise but dont see any movement. Sooo either the guy is in too high a gear and frying the clutch to keep it from stalling, or the diff is open, in which case there is no reason for them to be looking at this side of the truck....

  • @flight110 i was looking at what he was trying..truck is only single axle drive. very rear axle is a tag axle, only for weight distribution, no drive. trying to lug out in a higher gear is the way to go. too low a gear..too much power to the drives and just spin. not sure what kind of transmission he has. my tractor has an 18spd so i can put it in first direct and try to rock it like that. when he was trying to get up on the timber, they shoulda dug some sand by hand and set timber right in.

    We lift the rear axle to get more weight on the driving wheels, and that helps more than lowering the axle in such conditions....

    We do it like this on the winter also, because that help us a lot in the hills!!

  • I'd wish that ALL Scanias without muffllers would get stuck and STAY stuck. Quite a few of them crawl up the incline outside my house at all hours of the day. I swear: If I ever get a rocketlauncher, they'll be toast! :(

  • Two ways to go about this: 1) Rock it and risk snapping an axle or a diff. 2) A shovel.

    Even with all that, because of Scania's notoriously weak drive shafts

    you should got out and dug a little bit of sand out in-front of the wheels

    so you don't get into a situation to break them by non-stop slip of the drive wheels.

    The truck sounds great, but its not all about style and sound ;)

  • this is why I dont understand European trucks, it has a pair of axels in the back but only one is driven by the engine, when you have powered tandems like american trucks this wont happen as easily.

  • But these boggiaxles are great for when getting stuck in snow or stuff like that, since then you can raise the rearaxle, and add more pressure to the driving axle, and thus, making it easier to get loose.
