This was my truck and the poster needs to get his facts straight. It was a nitrous backfire from using too much trying to get the turbo to spool up in that altitude. It is a 7.3 motor. I drove it over 1400 miles each way from Louisiana to Colorado. After the backfire it cranked right back up and I continued racing. The truck was also a 2007 Diesel Power Challenge participant where it blew pretty well everything up BUT the motor.

I don't know if that is a 6.0, i own one and I love mine, that thing as so much more stock power than a 7.3. They don't just blow unless you make them blow.
