what was the process of this car? silver base? 4 coats candy and then 4 coats of clear?

Also i have a 87 t top monte carlo that im tryn to do the body work in..i seen here on youtube that people used patch panels to fix rust wholes and then rivet it in place followed with bondo glass, body filler and etc..will that work? or should it be welded?

silver base, 3 coats of red, 2 coats of clear, let dry, sand back down, put 3 coats of brandy, 3 coats of clear.

it will but i would cut n weld, thats if u want it right

if you mixed brandy and candy red your dumb you ruined both colors, sorry , the paint looked blotchy as well, ans orang peel, give some close ups of it

each coat -the colors will get darker, so brandy will darken it even more ruining the kandy apple job, plus the base coat you go over will lighten or darken the final colos look,

kandy apple over gold is the most beautiful

over silver is a lighter but is still nice

U alright? There is no law on how or what color u should get your car painted. Thats what the brandy was for to tone down the red cause the customer said the red was too bright. I can take constructive critisism but the hating I dont like. there r no blotches nor orange peel in that job, maybe some flaws cause there r no perfict paint jobs, but for the price he paid he has an excellent paint job. Stop hating n get Jesus, God bless

there r no rules on what color u would like to paint your vehicle. remember its CUSTOM, that means the sky is the limit on experimintinting anything. U might need to come out of that cave your talking about n try it sometimes, u might like it. How do u know you'll get blotches? did u try it?...................LOL
