in fairness nobody in korn is particularly talented at their instrument. Ray is a decent drummer and Munkey has a nice guitar style but their technique isn't really impressive. But I still love Korn. It's the emotion and raw energy that drives their music. Few bands are angrier, more brooding, and more intense than Korn are.

I don't think you get my point. From a technical standpoint, the guys in Korn are all average musicians. It's their energy and catharsis that gives them their amazing sound. That's the reason I don't listen to other nu metal bands, because most are worse with their instruments than Korn and mistake simplicity for "easy" music. Not to mention they have no energy to their sound and they fall flat, unlike Korn.

You know bro, don't look mainly on complexity of the structure of song. The only main thing is that how you enjoy it and not. Let's say you got the best complex talent full album but no one likes and enjoys your album and that's pure bullshit.

And also bro.. these guys (Korn) are very creative, just look upon how they make songs and how they use some elements to expand the limit of the music. Nu Metal is basically solo-less music because it's mainly focus on the lyrics and how they make groove and beats. If you interact personally on these guys, you'd be nothing but a pure entry level guy compare to them. They can do any song but as I said.. it's Nu Metal.. de-complex structural pieces. end of story.

JD can play like 7 classical instruments that he learned when he was 12, he can play drums, guitar, bass, Munky can solo like a beast along with fieldy, head, david, and ray(maybe?), fieldy can also play guitar, sing, and bass and munky can play drums, sing, bass, and guitar... they could all play each other's instruments
