Dell U2311H is 6-bit + AFRC not true 8 bit color and poor panel uniformity according to TFT Central, Benq VW2420H has a much higher contrast ratio with better blacks and true 8 bit color. Try searching on a site such as Hard Forum and you will see a lot of people posting about Dell's shitty QC on this model.

Stupid guys at BenQ anyway I am happy currently with my V2210Eco BenQ don't matter if its TN panel...I ran it side by side with this Dell U2311H...after much calibration this TN panel one produces almost same image as Dell & doesn't suffer from IPS gay orange or purple glow either. I'm wait for Asus ProArt PA238Q it is P-IPS not E-IPS like gay Dell so fingers crossed.

Hey so after 3 months I bought this MVA Panel BenQ..know what its shit coz it has a semi-gloss screen! OMG due to good connections with the shop he took it back again! This is gay why does BenQ have all their VA panels in semi-gloss screen? semi-gloss is to make colors/image look more vibrant but its a VA panel these idiots have TN panels with full matte finish!? Make those semi-gloss & VA one's matte! OMG BenQ is run by idiots or what!?

Can somebody tell me are BENQ monitors anything good? I usually don't care about branding (Acer, Samsung, LG, etc. cause I've seen trough my life how unknown companies come to the top -- and top companies fall from it) but since I don't know about BENQ I'm pretty in a dark here. Price is important, though. I'm looking for some LCD (LED backlight) monitor with Full HD capabilities and DVI port. HDMI is not necessary!

Something more than 19". 20" would be alright.

Real gaming monitors don't have IPS or VA, ( lag ), that is why I use a BenQ XL2410T Pro Gaming Monitor. Great Video .

BenQ blows the Dell. I got this Dell U2311H returned it the next day. Horrible blacks & horizontal color shift! Will never buy a Dell product again piece of garbage!

@Sonu03785 i work at a big box electronics store and we sell dell i see more dell come back then anything they are a garbage product, and their customer service is terrible too i am 100% with you on the quality of their products.

@gage1cyber I've used 2407wfp, 2709w, 2707wfp and they all had superb quality, viewing angles,color, etc and the customer service i had with Dell was superb. I recently contacted them about my studio xps laptop and they were once again great. I don't work for Dell bty! I think it depends on the customer representative you guy get! I got the good ones so far...

For the people below that seem to not understand.... BOTH of these monitors have 8bit color rendering. The Dell is on the left and has much better viewing angles than the BenQ on the right. This particular Dell monitor looks much better than the BenQ.

Hi, unfortunately that's not entirely correct. The Benq VW2420h uses a true 8-bit A-MVA panel, but the Dell U2311h uses a 6-bit E-IPS plus a procedure called (A-)FRC to make it looks like 8-bit. See: tftcentral.co.uk/news_archive/­23.htm#colour_depths

@furiousz11 UH.. yeah they both list 178 degrees as their viewing angles, but watch the video. When the camera goes to the left the wings on the dell stay blue, but the wings on the benq turn gray. Also when viewed from the front the dell's colors look deeper and the benq looks more washed out. So if you are watching this video on the benq you might not notice that. lol.

The Dell U2311h seems to have crushed away the details in the green leafs (the background of the bird). I simply cannot see as much detail on the Dell as on the Benq. This confirms another comparison test here on Youtube between the Dell U2311h and the NEC EA231Wmi.

Thanks so much for sharing this. The viewing angle on the U2311h is clearly better, but as I can see, the details are better on the VW2420h (which seems to show less detail crush)? Is that correct?
