I have been a EMT/Paramedic in New York City for over 12 years and I have never seen an incident like this. It doesn't matter the race of the police or EMS we all work together for the benefit of the patient and the rest of the public. I have talked to several friends that are police officers here and they are all appaled at this incident. The trooper says that he has anger problems after Iraq! That doesn't excuse his actions!

also the ambulance pulls over right after the cops gets up on its ass... but what does the cop do? the cop goes right past them....Soo WTF the ambulance drivers are probabally confussed as hell after that.. and continue on their way.. And then the Cop pulls in a lot up the road and waits for them to pass him.. and then goes after them again..WTF !!! im mean im confused and cant make sence of it after watching it a bunch of times.. nevermind when its happening in real time..

well there is some inconsistencys in both the ambulance and the cops statements.. for instance the ambulance driver says that the cop didnt have his sirens on.. when he clearly did..and the cop said that he didnt know that they had a patient in the back.. when he clearly is seen talkin about the patient in the back. soo im not going to say that either party was 100% not to blame..but.. i tend to always take the side of the people without the badges of authority

The patrolman had just returned from Iraq and did'nt need to be on the job for awhile. Now his lawyer say he did'nt know there was a patient in the ambulance but his dash cam told a different story @ 5:48 where he talked to the darn patient. He has no defense and this was'nt racial at all he just wanted to pick a fight and he got what he wanted. This is just baddd and I hope OHP get sued.

I am also a paramedic and this is ridiculous. The cop will be fired, maybe charged with assault and he will probably be sued by both the EMT that he attacked and the patient that he prevented from getting to the hospital. Abandoning a patient is a crime and when abandonment is forced by a cop with an anger management problem, that cop should be held accountable.

I'm a Paramedic myself. I agree. The Trooper need to go. I think the EMS crew conducted themselves very well as compaired to the Trooper. The only thing White should not have done was get out of the back giving the impression he was walking away from the patient. I would have stayed in the doorway on the back bumper.

I'm a rescue supervisor at times and truthfully I don't know how I'd react before seeing this. Quite possibly the same way. Both White and Franks conducted themselves very professional. My hats are off to them. I just try to look at things objectivly and look at the big picture before drawing a conclusion.
