no way! 20 pounds seems way too light. my dad has two of these he got from his dad after he came home from 'nam and have gotta weight almost 30 pounds before ammo. yes, i have carried and fired them, so im not exactly an armchair warrior on this one. great vid though, rock 'n rool really is the way to go. thats why im gonna be a 'corps machine gunner when i get outta high school
I said OVER 20 lb. You just proved my point, which is that they are heavy. The ones you are talking about are probably the original M60s at about 25lb, and the ones in my video are M60E3/MK43 versions at about 23 lb. Add ammo and you are over 25 lb. with either weapon.
They ARE better than the SAW, for a bunch of reasons. Honestly, no, I have not fired a SAW, but plenty of guys who have had to carry them have told me they wished they could carry the M60E3 instead because it is less finicky. Add to that a much harder-hitting round and it's no contest! The only thing the SAW has over the M60 IMHO is lower weight, but who cares when push come to shove.
are you in the corps? cause i heard the army doesnt use the pig anymore and only marine reservists use the m60. would it be possible to get one in afghanistan to use?
yea.. not fun... lol.. & no.. the army hates & refuses to feild the "pig" anymore.. the many field the SAW.. which i cant stand,, btw... i fired it & the saw once.. when my cous. came home from afgan. & to me the saw's got to much kick.. like it fires to fast.. the the barrel rises 10x faster then da pig.. & on top dat its a lower caliber round... but he woulda prefered his M16A4 W/ Acog than that PIG... to heavy for dat shit!

Dude, my Inokatsu M60E3 is a toy airsoft bb gun. It weighs 27lbs loaded. I can't believe my toy gun weighs more than the real thing!
