  • Closest thing Aphex Twin has to a Boards of Canada track. If you've never heard of Boards of Canada but like this, check them out! for your sake you need to check them out. Also get drunk and cruise some heavy pow with them bumpin in your headphones. Flying some 40 foot kickers will feel bliss. Can't wait for the winter.....

  • @jonasty42 Boards of Canada is brilliant

  • its always aphex twin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! right next to RZA in the genius department

  • jullie zijn mogolen

  • "26 Mixes for Cash" is the album. And it is a damn good Aphex Twin album.

  • blue and orange

  • This is great. Atmospheric malleability, permeating undulations, temporal capture.

  • This is great. Atmospheric malleability, permeating undulations, temporal captured.

  • "because I like her very much."

dude, aphex is a guy, not a girl! xD

  • I'd rather watch this video(or lack there of) than watch that piece of shit movie Titanic.

  • Right at the beginning of this track you can hear two boys saying;

    "Use leaves.

    We could use leaves"

This sample can be heard several times through the song.

At the end you can hear what sounds like a teacher saying "You're either using the copier or not, are you using the copier?"

There's some more but I can't be bothered to type it.

  • I have found the meaning of life.

  • @TEXpanteraAS Cool bro, Sell it on Ebay, it will buy you dinner

  • @clickadeclick Hmm Ok so sorry but. As the notice of the comment came through my email I thought that comment was for me, and admit that listening Riahanna is an offense! but that's okay, it was just a misunderstanding, I will remove the comment I made

  • Everyone will want to have him remix their songs judging by the quality of 26 mixes for cash. But the titles is tongue in cheek & says it all really. He doesn't need to prove himself to other artists, he is a god of music & he needs neither money nor fame to be the god he is.

  • I'm really disappointed that this song ends...

  • genius like me

  • @praterzen me too!

  • what album is this?

  • @H4rkan

…this song is from the album "26 Mixes For Cash" - which I can highly recommend.

  • @H4rkan i dont know!

  • @tylerbrazil 26 mixes for cash

  • @tylerbrazil This originally was released as a single, a remix of Gavin Bryars' classical music piece The Sinking of the Titanic, but you can get it now on 26 Mixes for Cash, I think.

  • @tylerbrazil Its from "28 mixes for cash", a compilation of mixes Aphex twin made for vaious artist

  • @tylerbrazil It's from disc 1 of 26 Mixes for Cash. It's a pretty wicked album.

  • @H4rkan It's from "26 Mixes for Cash". There's a lot of great stuff on there, it's worth getting!

  • @H4rkan it is on "26 mixes for cash" which is a remix cd aphex twin did. the original song is by Gavin Bryars. It is track number 2.

  • It's "26 Mixes for Cash" from 2003. One of the best albums ever even though he made it just for money, apparently.

  • @H4rkan This album would be 26 Mixes for Cash. Great album!

  • @H4rkan 26 Mixes For Cash

  • @H4rkan it's 26 mixes for cash

  • @H4rkan 28 sorry fuck

  • @H4rkan 26 Mixes for Cash

  • @H4rkan 26 Remixes For Cash

  • @H4rkan This track can be found on the "26 Mixes for Cash" compilation, which by the way is absolutely brilliant. Amazing remixes.

  • @H4rkan 26 mix for cash

  • @H4rkan its off a "26 mixes for cash" he did,for cash ;)

  • @H4rkan Aphex Twin remix album: 26 Mixes for Cash

  • When you find songs like this from Aphex Twin, you come to realize how sensible and passionate he can be without being "weird" as most people call him because of some crazy sounding songs he has done.

  • i don`t need melody .

    good beat and good loop.

    last song in the world.

  • i used to hate this track... i never gave it any time on my player. but now i think Its one of his best tracks, my mind journeys in and of itself, finding solace...

  • my waldo just moved a small amount

  • Nine inch nails and aphex twins Hmm ,, there are more people like me =) ! .. i wonder if they're all 16

  • @ZoeMushroom Used to think the same way when I was 16. I'm 19 now and know that whenever I think I'm alone in something that I'm not. There weil always be others who think/like/act like you do, the thing is you might never find them or meet them.

  • @AphexDreamer wow...same age here - same questions back then and same answer now!

  • @ZoeMushroom maybe not 16 but were all the same anyhow just different

  • @llamaspit3838 yeah and official age doesn't matter. It's about how old you act and what you know ;)

  • Any time I hear music like this It takes me back to my service in the Soviet Navy, and the day our ship was bombed. Whatching that destroyer sink ended a phase of my life. This music makes me feel trapped, like I'm still on board my craft.

  • @PissedOffLion

    When did that happen?

Also what did you do in the navy?

  • gorgeous

  • hmm, thats wierd, so few views

  • Antologia deste mundo.

  • One of the most haunting melodies I've heard in my life and I love it. Another great one for this season is Goon Gumpas on The Richard D. James Album that came out in 1996.

  • Aphex twin + Nine inch nails = Epic Win

  • You hit it right on the nail. When asked who's my favs the first two I mention are NIN&AT. Much props. In my opinion I can tell you have great taste.

  • This is the exact same thing for me. I really love a bunch of other artists, but these two are out of competition

  • *FURTHER down the spiral*..my bad

  • no, this song came from the album '26 mixes for cash', a dual cd set, which about 90% of, was remixes of other poeples music, and collaberations with other artists...including trent reznor, (of , you know which band!)--a little song from downward spiral call 'at the heart of it all',

  • gracias por el tema,,,aphex siempre lo mejor dando ese toque magico a la musica....grande...no tengo mas palabras....solo decir gracias,,

  • Nice, but is this really his track?

The CD "Gavin Bryars", I googled it, is not from WARP...

  • avril 14th is a real masterpiece

  • Iv'e heard this trach quite along time ago and never knew this was Aphex twin.

    My favourite tracks are

    *Rhubarb*

    *Xtal*

    *Stone in focus*

    *Blue calx*

  • Favorite works of a GENIUS :

    1. Xtal

    2. Falling Free

    3. Raising the Titanic

    4. Come to Daddy

    5. Avril 14th

    6. Etc.....

  • Come to Daddy is probably one of his worst songs imo.. You should dig deeper into his classics. Didgeridoo for example, should be on your list.

  • You're right. Compared to his other songs, Come to Daddy really isn't that good. I like Flim a lot, but I guess it's just personal.

  • Crank!

  • great track - one of the best songs ever written. it crosses so many boundaries

  • They should analyze Richard's brain, to find the key for the door Genius.

  • @dragonelitebeast294

    please gush in private.

  • oooh great this is the best song on the album (and journey of course...)

  • Original by Gavin Bryars, be sure to check his over an hour Raising The Titanic. What Richard does with this, is quite amazing, if this doesn't move you, i don't know what will. So glad i got my hands on this 12"!

  • It takes someone with a unique mind to switch from maniac to musical genius. Richard has just that mind. This song is so very beautiful. Though I do like his other more...out there creations. :)

  • Ugh! Yeah!

  • Out of this world

  • i like the background that sounds like a choir or theatre class, and the conductor explaining something, auditorium reverb, the snipits of choruses like practicing, the drums larger than life---because they are out of the literal context of this ambiante, but somehow they are well mixed

  • pure analysis that. good though >lol

  • For me, those are the struggling ghosts of the Titanic as it was already raised from the deep dark waters. And when it was finally comw up in from the water, the ghost slowly fades into nothingness, have their rests forever.

  • is that Tom Waits going "h'yaaar!" at the end?

  • woderful song!

  • my penis just moved a little bit

  • haha nice

  • lololllol 'my pinis just moved a little but" hahah. Amazing tune, aphex twin is a god

  • @chessplayer21 sorry

  • this song isn't on iTunes and my Limewirez isn't workin...Help?

  • Yeah, go into a record shop, buy the Damn CD, and stop being a leech on the industry!

  • Comment removed

  • @user95872 Wake up! It's 2011 man!!!

Dude im Stoned out of my brains....

  • well.... buying from itunes is kinda supporting the industry.... :)

  • nail on the head, in a nutshell, Massive thumbs up to ur reply.

  • fyi its on the aphex twin 26 remixes for cash album

    safety

  • Send me your email now and I'll send you an MP3 format of this masterpiece.

  • This is my favorite Aphex Twin track, hands down.

Who know something so loud and chaotic could be so relaxing.

  • if you look at the picture from the bottom up it goes from black into the rainbow.

  • true =)

  • i just imagine the whole journey of the ship going in reverse. it starts out with the ship underwater and the memories of its past kind of echoing in flashback form as we see it lying there and then it starts to rise and pieces back together and starts to sail again with everyone who had died alive and enjoying the cruise once again.

  • it didnt sail...but ya..fact: many of the crew from the titanic abandonded ship without the life boats even halfway full. Fact:The titanic never got "torn" open by an ice berg. The outside bolts were removed and the actual tear came from the front of the ship colliding with the sea floor.

  • Wow the clouds are moving :/ :D

  • anyone know what the picture is? I'm hypnotized and memorized simultaneously by it

  • strawberry phantom cakes taste best on acid

  • I agree

  • that`s nice Chilled

  • This is from 26 Mixes for Cash. It's called Raising the Titanic originally by Gavin Bryars. "Remix" of course.

  • so what album is this from?

  • 26 Mixes for Cash :)

  • Superb. RDJ is an example of creative worthwhile terrestrial Life...Unlike much of the humanoids that inhabit this planet...

Maybe he's not human?? If this is true, mad props?!

  • Genialne! Po prostu... Zajebiste

  • i dont know what you wrote. but I think you like.

  • yeah he like it ^^ ;)

  • I cant understand you but fuck yeah!

  • One oif my favorite AFX Songs

  • the drum beats in this song are fuckin' Epic

  • I liked the cough part.

  • It's the second track on 26 Mixes for Cash on disc one.

  • And that disc is one of the best in whole David's discography, imao

  • Makes sense.

  • I discovered this track a year ago when someone used it in some riot clip. I had no idea what the title was. The track is absolutely orgasmic, epic, and cinematic. I wish I was a director so that I could use this in a movie.

  • dito...orgasmic XD

  • The song is called raise the titanic, because it is a remix of a score by a fella called Bryers about the titanic

  • oh so......

  • wheres the titanic

    ?

  • That's the problem with this; there's nothing about the ship, just this person standing there looking at clouds. Makes me think of Hiroshima, oddly. The music is impressive at least.

  • I would love a full size picture of whatever that is. It looks amazing. Send me a PM if you have the time so we can work something out?

    Thanks! Great song

  • the easiest way iv found of getting a big pic is going onto full screen and pressing print screen, then pasting it into paint and editing out the play button etc. although im guessing you mean poster size...

  • allright dude check out my story board im done for a vid that im working on for this tune its still in its infancy so ill keep it updated sorry bout having to record the way i did file was to big otherwise peace to all apex fans keep it real!!!!

  • das lied ist genadenlos übersteuert, aber genial!

das video ist langweilig weil halt nur ein bild.

  • ....it's single frame art you idiot.....

It's only boring because you want it to be....

  • Well, why call it Raising the Titanic then if nothing is happening? I don't get it.

  • Listen to the music....the undertones echoing kinda sound like that of old steel....and the chorus definitely adds too the detached feeling of sunken dead souls.....

    just close your eyes.....

  • The music yes. It's just that the visuals don't match the title. It'd do better for me if I just heard the sound first. Just my two cents.

  • Aphex Twin and Gavin Bryars sampled from the movie with Leonardo DeCaprio.

  • That's also how I felt too.

  • Gavin Bryars and RDJ Sampled from the motion picture.
