Are you in Japan yet? I'm looking to apply for the Japanese WHV, but I'm waiting to hear off the Canadian high commission but been nearly 2 months now, slow is not the word!, However I agree that some blogs insist you write an excessive amount on your itinerary, which I find ridiculous.
And it's easy to book flights for 11 months ahead, So I don't know what you meant by saying you couldn't find any online...
What are you doing in Japan? providing you are there of course :)
Thanks for the info! Out of curiosity, what sort of work are you hoping to do over there? I don't mean names of companies, just a sort of vague description, if that's okay. ^^ Can you do anything you want, or only specific lines of work?
I will probably only teach English as my Japanese isn't good enough to be employed for much else!
The only limit you have, employment wise, is you cannot work in bars etc. or basically anything to do with nightlife or lines of work of a 'questionable' nature.
@phemohilia Not really, only very basic. Hopefully that'll improve by my going there, but it's a difficult language to learn as an English speaker, so I don't expect any miracles!

@CandyKoRn Thank you very much! That sounds fair. Do you need a uni degree or anything to get a WHV, or to teach English?
seventhsheaven 6 months ago
@seventhsheaven No, you don't need a degree to get the WHV. Having one will help a lot with getting work, but that's also not required.

@CandyKoRn Thank you for taking the time to answer me! I hope you have fun in Japan :D

@CandyKoRn hey I was wondering if you knew what type of work you CAN do in Japan? I can't find much info online.

@b0x3s
Well, apart from what I've already mentioned there aren't any other restrictions.
However, if you are unable to speak Japanese you're pretty much restricted to teaching English.
