@TheEastjewel Indeed it looks realistic, whenever I'm able to make it. If I like to make some now, I need to practice for about 5~6 flowers just to get the start right. So in a sense, it can be quite complicated.

@heba0711 The problem about ribbon is too resilient to bend/fold. Also it may be too smooth to keep the folds steady. The best material for this method should be paper streamer or paper towel.

@Martes75 Sorry to bother you again, but could you please tell me the breadth of the stemers. Couldnt find a decent enough roll so decided to cut some myself.

@lahoripavan Green Cloth Stem Wire. The thicker it is, the stronger the it is. I've looked sizes up online. Thick stem such as 18 gauge(and 16) gives very good support. But you may find it harder to bend it into something else later on. 20 and 24 gauge are more ideal thickness. 26 gauge is too thin.

@cxpylz Thanks. Yes the beginning is hard to start with. There is no right shape for it. Only the ones that seems right.

@heyhowzitgo1n For the length, make it 12 inches or longer. The rose can't be big due to the width of the streamer. After a few layers of petals the rose should be formed from inner to outer, top to bottom. Then you will have to close up at the bottom and cut out any extra streamer. Last, use green(recommended) floral tape to tie up so the rose won't fall apart.

@DanaCarolyn Cloth would be slippery but it can still work IF you can keep the folds steady. The best materials are still streamers and paper towels.

@ayzhanah The stick and the tape at it's end are the stuff that hold the folds together. You can keep it short but the flower must have it. Otherwise the folds will fall apart.

Not recommended. But yes, you can. Its fragile because it'd more likely to break at the tearing/dividing lines. You can always fold the toilet tissue to double the thickness, though. And by the way, the choice of color is only white, usually.
