@kidblitzable Rap hasnt been around for 50 years you fucking idiot. Kam isnt the problem, its ill informed "Rap Heads" who reference Nas to sound cool but for some reason make your way to the Kam Royal videos anyway. White people have been taking music from black people forever. Get over it and if you hate this shit so much make your own music.
@kidblitzable I understand what youre saying but look at all music in history. All the popular classic rock is about partying like a rockstar drugs sex and rock n roll and rap is no different. There is only so much space and KAM has major talent, and is beginning to achieve success. He's dope and I love his rhymes.
He speaks about "livin every night like its vegas". sweet, dude. and you made "you and her break up". awesome, man. He's preaching lines used by thousands of dumbass rappers out there. The new era of rap has made it possible for any kid to make a rap song, and its a "waste of space" as I earlier described because the rappers arent' reachign success either. I know this was harsh, but rappers these days should know you going to have to actually have intelligent rhymes like Nas to reach any success
Over the past 50 years, rap has become haven to countless un-talented rappers. Regardless of their style, the "white-college kid-pothead" rapper or the "hood-rat rapper", talented tracks have been harder and harder to find. The lyrics in songs such as this one by KAM are a waste of electronic space in my opinion. This is a subjective statement, for he obviously has a great fan base, and many identify with him. His lyrics are not impressive at all.
@kidblitzable So its okay for Rockstars of the "Classic Rock" generation to make songs about doing drugs and having lots of sex, but with more metaphorical terms? I'm not taking sides here because the "rap game" can be complicated one and i tend to be picky when it comes to rap, but all generations, or genres (I should say) of music tend to have only been about particular topics. Its a predicament about modern day music, meanwhile it was the same shit 30 or 40 years ago.
@1979danmcc I agree with you 100%. Rap was undoubtbly reached its peak between 1993-2005. This is not to say that rap has always and will always have talented artists making great music. The styles have been, and will always change. In the late 70's through the 80's rap was comparative to a rock show. In the 90's it evolved with more complex beats and charm with rappers such as Snoop Dogg and Dre. Eminem and Lil' Wayne brought their own stlye in the early 2000's as well.
Maxxsonics I love you guys. You could put a Dog barking a rap up here and I would still buy your equipment. You guys should do an MB Quart headunit so I can get rid of the Alpine.
But I do think a lot of people these days accept some rap as great . When in actuality it can be way better . I mean I love a lot of my old rap albums . Well 1994 to 2004 or 5 because of the Intricacy of the beats and the overall mix of the album . These albums are Southern , East Coast , West Coast and Mid West albums . So it's not just the style of the sound . So don't use the{ it's a different style} excuse . It seems only a few rappers can compare anymore . But I hope I'm wrong .
I don't want to knock anybody for trying though . I mean if you think you have it, you should go for it . Cause people have different taste so you may have a fan base somewhere . I love playing drums and making beats and if somebody told me I could not play anymore I would rather die . But negative comments make you work harder and fix places where you are lacking . But I will not pretend to be the master of music and deciding what's good and what sucks . People have different taste .
@lilseuff Amen brother Rap is an art form . I'm only going to put a name like Outcast up here. Now they are far from the only rappers that have this talent . Just using Outcast for example . But this new rap coming from every Tom , Dick and Harry with a mic and a Mac Powerbook just doesn't cut it . I also don't want to leave out KRS One and Dre for examples . I mean when G funk started , thier basment recordings are better than some of the studio albums that are coming out from Rappers now !.
@eastonballa I left a comment because I wanted too . Not all comments are supposed to be positive . I was surfing the Maxxsonics car audio web page and I clicked on a link to a video I thought pretained to car audio . But I got this video . Believe me I only listened for two or three seconds .
