Seems there are graphical and audio glitches when running BF3 + G530 CPU + video capture. I'd bet the vid capture is at least partially software based, and bumping heads with the BF3 processing. The tested machine is clearly more powerful than an Xbox 360.
so is this cpu better than the core 2 duo e4500.lga775 socket please could someone help me.cause im going to upgrade to the evga p55 MOBO which requires me to change the cpu so i need to know if the e4500 is better or worse than the celeron g530.please help.thanks.

@milkweed728 yes no problem this celeron g530 have +-same performance like core2duo e8300 cpu....and also much higher memory bandwidth around 15000mb/s
@doglad12 yeah, the processor will bottleneck it, but it will be fine. I had an Athlon X2 coupled with a 4890, and upgrading to a E8400 solved my problems, I can run all the games at maximum settings now.
@Kf1rr my multi player doesnt need fraps to fuck up the sound XD
sometimes the tanks are silent and you only hear the shots fired, other times im shooting and theres no sound then seconds later the sound pops up haha.
This processor seems like gold for budget gaming builds.
with HT tech the already very efficient core architecture is used to it's full potential and coupled with an o.k. GPU it will do well enough in ALL modern games.
I won't recommend buying this CPU, yes its faster in calculation tests, but for gaming its a no go. My brother has a GTX 560 and a G530 2.4 ghz, and he cant cap 91 FPS in COD MW3, he gets around 70 as average, but when we upgraded his CPU to a 2500K, he is capped at 91 FPS, and he never get the drops down to 40-50 FPS in heavy combat while looking across the map. So if you plan on gaming, dont buy it, you can't overclock it, and cache size is really low. It is not made for gaming.
@N00bZsT4R i completely agree with you celeron G530 is not for gaming PC at all, but it handle almost every new game so if you want extreme cheap PC for gaming.....you can always upgrade to core i3-2100 which is very cheap and perfect for gaming.
@BlackClawReventoN i don't know what a G640 is but i recomend a 4x core. other than that it's all good but if you want to max it out i suggest any HD6850+ from AMD or the latest from nvidia 560Ti or whatever it is, i don't remember. but you get more power for your money with an AMD. RAM's top good, same as HDD's.
@N00bZsT4R this cpu is incredible value. it's only about 45 euros. it's very good for the price. the 2500k you mention is like 5 times more expensive and requires a motherboard with a h67, p67 or z68 chipset to be able to overclock. again more money compared to a cheap 40 euros p61 chipset mobo. and the difference is like only 20 fps in the case you mentioned. best thing is to buy a cheap lga 1155 motherboard and a celeron g530, and in about a year swap it for a 2500k(4 times faster)
@N00bZsT4R You do realise that the human eye cant tell the difference between any framerate above 30fps... So regardless if its 30fps or 300fps it will look the same..
Ok, hope you are trolling. Why do you think they make 120 Hz monitors ? that is because 120 FPS is much more smoother than 60 FPS. And if you play on a 60 hz monitor, then everything below 60 FPS, is bad, but everything above 60 FPS on a 60 hz monitor is waste.

@TheAugeX It is good for gaming(performance is very similar like Phenom x2 555 or core2duo E8500) but you must remember it is only dual core so in some games you dont get the performance.There is some games i try and runs over 50+fps Crysis 2,COD black ops,Duke nukem forever,BF3,Test drive unlimited 2, F1 2011,Driver san francisco,Shift 2,Far cry 2..............GTA4 well i try it and i got 38 fps in benchmark all in low but in the game you some times got only 25 fps. GTA4 is more for 4core
@mrdato116 if you have celeron dual core E3400 1mb l2 cache BF3 probably dont run smooth enough.Celeron g530 (sandy bridge core is much more powerfull)
So, everyone was worried about how this game would run on their configuration, because the beta was optimized as crap.
It is surely heavier than any other current FPS except for the first Crysis (last non-console based FPS) and other stuff, but the result are awesome, it's not that heavier than that crappy Modern Warfare/ Black Ops but it looks thirty times more realistic.
Enthusiast gamers who bought i7-990X and other $600+ CPUs would feel very stupid watching this.
@Bastylax86 Exactly! its realy funny because my system is so cheap Gigabyte H61M-S2V-B3+Celeron G530 +4gb DDR3+secon hand ATI HD4850 for 60$- so my system cost almost nothing.Its show how great architecture Sandy bridge is and this Celeron is even better than Phenom x2 555.
