  • Very nice I enjoyed that a lot.Well done.

  • Hey check out my version of this piece. I think I may be the only other youtuber who had posted this on a steel string as well. Great job!

  • Pretty casual about your immense talent. All the more power to you dude.

  • Why isnt he wearing pants?

  • realy, perfect performance. thank you.

  • Excellent performance. Also, you're freaking adorable.

  • Very good interpretation, I think, MAYBE, there's too much echo in the sound, like an oversustain effect. It's a good arrangement, though. What a pity that chord at 3:44.

  • @Smileater thanks! Yeah, I was gutted but decided to keep leave it there. I'm going to post another version in the next week or 2 and hopefully there won't be that tragic minor/major 3rd clash this time!

  • @starlinginspector It's good to know that you're aware of your errors. It's not that common... nowadays. Good for you. Keep playing. Sounds great!

  • TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABS PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I can't believe you played this with a pick! Truly masterful! Not sure I'm wild about the steel string sound, but the musicianship is amazing--lightyears beyond anything I could ever hoped to do. Kudos!

  • Jason Becker said "don't even try to play this" unfortunately he was wrong

  • @petrucciJr has he himself ?

  • awesomeeeeee!!!

  • somebody tell me who this guy is?

  • @westharrington1 this is just his own channel right? just look at the profile?:)

  • somebody tell me who this guy is?

  • Dammit man, that was inspired. God bless. Haven't heard something like that since Becker's "Air"

  • очень классно!

  • Good Grief! This is really excellent. Bravo. I like it so much more than mine!!!!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Amazing!!!!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder why acoustic steel-string guitar is not more often used on music composed for classical guitar... I love this sound ! I prefer it to nylon-string guitar sound !

    But stereotypes die hard...

  • Excellent

  • Do you have a pre recorded guitar part going also?

  • Six people didn't like his knees.

  • B, E , A-YOOOUUUUUTIFUL MAN!!!

  • Whoa, you're a guitar savant :))

Btw I tried to comment your other vids as well but in auto play mode I was to slow ;)

  • bravo!

  • I usually hate steel string playing classical, but not this song. 6 out of 5 stars!

  • great

  • goooooooddddd!

    fantastic esibition!!!!

    J.S.Bach is' always fantastic!

    he's always actual

    great sound and tecnich!

    compliment!

    Joe

  • thanks!

  • Dude! You're awesome!!! I love the hybrid picking. But, man, you gotta go FULL MONTY!!! Come on.... your playing will achieve new levels when you're completely in the buff.

Seriously though, you're an excellent guitar player. Keep going! Love it!!!

  • Супер!!!!! Спасибо!!!!! так долго это искал, но не знал как называется)))))))

  • nice one, what a busy sounding tune, excellent playing dude

  • Nice! I liked your video!

  • He is the guitarist Luis Salinas, don´t fake me !

  • you pick like I do, flat pick 2 fingers and no pinky. It gives me hope considering how well you play. I figured I'd have to master using all of my fingers to do any good.

  • Bach on a classical guitar = hard. Bach on an acoustic = harder. Killer.

  • Are you using just a flatpick, or a combination of flatpick and fingers? Sounds amazing.

  • Great playing

  • cheeeedoooo!!!!!!

  • ow awesome^^

  • amazing, nice sound, very good performance!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It would sound much better on a classical guitar!! :(

Even though it's got the bright sound of the harpsichord, it still sound less impressive than on a classical Guitar.

  • Well said wel done but look for a Concert guitar ore at least change the strings :/

  • good playing without underpants

  • I'm learning this at the minute, but from the violin partita and on electric guitar. It's a bloody difficult piece, but I find it helps improve your technique hugely.

  • Can't stop smiling ... that just kicks so hard! So fluid ... and I especially appreciate how the steel strings lend a harpsichord-like tone. OK, must post this now so I can hit "replay" ...

  • Please where can I find sheets for this arrangement. I hope it's available!! Thank you :-)

  • i'm impressed. didn't think it could be done with such class on a steel string. and don't ever go as low as to tab anything for "that guy" make em read music its important to know how to do

  • FYI, there's nothing wrong with tablature. BWV1006 is from a Bach lute suite. Traditionally lute music is transcribed in tablature form. It's been that way since the 14th century.

  • Bach never wrote music for the lute utilizing tablature. All of the surviving manuscripts in his hand are written in standard notation on a double staves.

  • I didn't say that Bach wrote in tablature. I said that there is a tradition of transcribing lute music in tab form that dates back to the 14th century.

  • okey, and now on classic guitar??? i wanna see that...

  • is there any chance of possibly getting a tab from you ? if there is one; not sure if you learned it from ear and didn't transcribe it. sorry to be "that guy" haha.

  • his left hand moves so smoothly

  • @kedonsiemen that's what she said

  • Great great playing!!!

  • He plays it with so much ease and it must be crazily difficult! This man manages it quite well:) exceedingly well!

  • I clicked on this video expecting to be horrified. But then I realized who was playing. I have enjoyed your other Bach videos immensely (esp. bwv996 prelude). I was pleasantly surprised with how listenable this is on a steel string...

  • Gotta love You Tube.

Where else can you see Bach being perfomed by a man with no trousers?

Seriously though, I like the sound of the steel string much more than I thought I would. It adds an brightness and openness to the sound that you get with a lute but which is absent on a regular classical guitar.

  • @dwftube I have to agree, when I saw he was playing it on a steel string guitar, i wasn't really expecting much, but wow, that sounded great.

  • oh.......my god!!!!!.....fantastic

  • good performance. thanks.

  • love it man. Love the crystal clear sound, the ringing of the open strings. awesome.

  • Very ,very good work , it is a wonderful job many difficult . You're a fantastic guitarist.

    ***** J.C.

  • Sorry. I don't see your point. I don't think that playing Bach on stell strings and not even on a clasical guitar could be easy. Try next time to listen to the music rather than pointing out the inperfections. I consider the technique and the sound to be more than good.

  • I never said it was easy, or even bad. I just said that I've heard better, and pointed out where I think he should work more. And uh, "Try to listen to the music rather than pointing out the imperfections" - what? You mean like, criticism? Yeah that's right: " Shut up you idiot, what is it with all that 'expressing your own opinion'- there should be a law against that. Some people, meh, I just can't believe it. "

  • Fantastic guitarist !

  • That's an awesome version. I like how you really take advantage of the open strings and hybrid picking for the cascading, ringing sounds.

  • Wonderful job my friend. You're a fantastic guitarist...

  • fantastic job Rick!! Love it! 5/5

  • As a lot of ppl already said, awsome playing! Just one question m8... are you doing chicken picking? It kinda looks like you are :)
