So, I wasn't going to comment since the video is over a year old (i'm a new subscriber - YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!), but ....

I just bc'd 10/22 of this year and cannot wait to rock a super big, super fly Angela Davis (throws up the peace sign) afro!!!!!!!!!!!

@successfull88 at this point it had been 6 months since my BC. I transitioned for 8 Months, so it was 14 months post relaxer. Thank you.

I have been natural for two years and have been doing twist outs and curly fros most of my journey, Never thought of just a regular afro ... expecially since its been pretty big. Soooo... did you just cowash and let it dry in braids and pick it out like they did in the 70s...or just let it dry naturally and pick it out

either way you want to do it. It's easier for me if it has been braided first, but in this video it was just washed and pulled into a puff. My afro is ridiculous now, but I'm still planning on wearing it at the end of this month. :)

No need to be jealous. We all came from somewhere. It's been a little more than a year. I can't imagine what it will look like next july. It doesn't stop growing, there are just phases of growth. Your hair might just be in the slow phase right now. I read that in a book(Textured Tresses).
