Hey guys, if you like alternative/ progressive/ experimental rock, please go listen to our first single "The Second Void" and give us a comment about our music.
I'm glad this song is obscure along with most of Steven Wilson's work. I'd hate to hear this ruined by being overplayed on a radio station. Let it be enjoyed by those few who seek music not for instant gratification, but for art.
wow steve. wow. that is all i have to say. if i had seen this that day i met you in melb, i would have kissed your shoes. wow. wow. wow. why are you not famous.
Sometimes people just dislike a thing as a silly proof of individuality... But in situations like these, you just got to admit you are observing/listening to a universal masterpiece. So, those who thinks that being original is disliking this are behaving as tasteless chimps. Still, i respect them...

Astonishing.I feel like people on youtube must in some cases just hit the dislike button because they are trying to be funny or something. No one could really dislike this.
@gamer46ful Welcome then, to an awesome world of music. His work is quite amazing.
After you've explored Porcupine Tree and Blackfield, look at other stuff around it, like OSI's self titled album. Steven Wilson does some guest vocals and songwriting on there for a track called shutDOWN. Then go listen to the rest of OSI's albums. Look on here for radiologue and while you're listening to it look up Donald Crowhurst on wikipedia. Matter of fact give it a couple of listens as you read.
Maybe would like the song better if it where longer so they wouldnt need to compress the content as much as they did and after the speed up the song and everything stoped to make sense
@LasseHoileDotCom mind-blowing - I've spent a few nights trying to work out all those references.
Is there any chance we could buy some high-quality prints/posters? I'd love especially that last scene where they're half buried in the sand. I love those abandoned (?) cranes on the background. Also, the one where they lean on each other. They've got feelings too, assuming they're different creatures than us humans at all.
Well, I've still got work to do with my interpretation but...
You know when I think about it. This reminds me abit of Zdzislaw Beksinski. In that the freakish creatures inhabitating that grey apocalyptic world. Really doesnt seem that evil. Like that part when the birdpeople are sitiing down leaning at eachother.
I am a 15 years old boy and I'm learning guitar, and musical theory. I like Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Progressive Rock, and Progressive Metal/Death... my brother is learning drums, could you guys check my channel and watch my videos of original songs that we made, we are working in this, and we will re-record the song but this time with more instruments, can you check???
His songs are amzingly melodic and hard and his voice is hauntingly beautiful. It's about time we had a few rockers that did't have to scream to get thier point across. Not that I don't enjoy a screaming song or anything, but it's a breath of fresh air.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
In an industry overrun with shallow music, Steven Wilson stands out as a true artist among many so-called 'musicians'. I hope his music continues to inspire and move those who have the privilege hear it.
im so sick of this song, I always skip it when I start the album. album is flawless but this shit gets old after like 4 listens, i guess it's a good introduction to it though
@populvuh02 No kidding!! So the song itself is about Harmony Korine? Just like Tinto Brass is about Tinto Brass? Wow! I can consider myself educated by your superior knowledge!!
Okay. This video is awesome, and I love Steve Wilson. But its literally one of the weirdest things I've ever seen, and I'm having trouble understanding most of (if not all of) the imagery in it. Is it just a random collection of dark, disturbing, psychadelic images or does it mean something?
I think this is one of the tightest songs Steven has written in his career. I love the breakdown at 03:27 - fantastic stuff. Nice, atmospheric video too. Roll on Grace for Drowning!
Yeah my song is better. I wrote it too. Didn't use someone else's cut rate tune. I was trying to display the video in a response but you don't allow video responses. Good thing for you I guess.
I love this song, but... He made Fear of a Blank planet later with P.T., and the gimmick is almost the same. He rocks, that's sure, but he has tendances to make always the same songs. Even in P.T.
@KojWerraps Yeah, I agree with you. Over three years of listening to PT, I have come to become acquainted with some oh his flaws, like taking himself somewhat seriously. Having said that, he has every right to have some redeeming flaws, because I think he is one of the greatest musicians alive, and one of the most important musicians of all time, given that he is making SUCH music in TODAY's dubstep, trance, Bieber, Rebecca Black, hip-hop listening world.
@KojWerraps have you heard the whole of Insurgentes (where this song is from)? Its nothing like PT at all, maybe early PT, but the PT that we know of today. Lots of noise music, ambient sounds, weird istrumentals, PT is more straightforward melodic rock fused with metal. The Incident is closer to Insurgentes in some areas, but still rather different. Just saying :)
@toolfan92 You're right, I should have tried to listen to the full album before making a judgement, but I have 4 CDs of P.T. and this song (harmony korine) that made me discover Steven wilson's music in general ended making me believe what I said earlier on this comment page. Maybe should I get it, maybe right now, by magic we all know.
@KojWerraps well i dont blame you, when I first heard Harmony Korine, i checked the title of this video make sure I wasn't listening to Porcupine Tree. It's similar indeed.
as long as steven came up with this idea solo thing, it all sort of fell into place and that's what it came to, A REVELATION, BRIGHTNESS REAL MUSIC AND YEARS AHEAD HIS ERA!!!
its impossible not to relate every lyric wilson has written to my own life even when the actual message or meaning has nothing to do with what im relating it to. I must sound stupid but sw has a way with words unlike anyone ill ever know so ty steven.
Ain comedown & fall forever, Drain the dirt into the wasteland. Pray, for sound, to quiet the howling. Feel, no shame, too brave, feel afraid, to wait forever. Kneel, to fade, the day's corrosion. Crawl depart, towards perdition. Gray, the part the bruise, within you. Feel, no shame, too brave. Feel, afraid to wait forever. Feel, no shame too brave. Feel afraid to wait forever.
heard this song, bought the album.

I love it! This may happen, if we remain paralised to all the destruction that takes place everywhere in the world.
