  • heard this song, bought the album.

THE ACTUAL ALBUM YOU DIGITAL DICK HEADS

  • I'm watching him live in April :D

  • @MatsEP what a lucky bastard!!....please enjoy that fuckin show..... :)

  • LASSE HOILE IS A FRICKIN BEASTT. :-)

  • is steve any relation to wilson from home improvement?

  • 3:20 - Brush your teeth kids, or you could end up like this...

  • 49 blind people missed the like button.

  • Comment removed

  • The intro guitar reminds me of the song Blackwater Park by Opeth :) Steven was also part of that song.

  • I'm glad this song is obscure along with most of Steven Wilson's work. I'd hate to hear this ruined by being overplayed on a radio station. Let it be enjoyed by those few who seek music not for instant gratification, but for art.

  • why is this the name of the video¿ why Harmony Korine?

  • @Thisisxdanceordiex It's in homage to old school movie making. Harmony Korine is hte name of a director

  • Absolutely brilliant in every way.

  • wow steve. wow. that is all i have to say. if i had seen this that day i met you in melb, i would have kissed your shoes. wow. wow. wow. why are you not famous.

  • i watch & watch this video & never get tired of it

    what a masterpiece

  • Lasse Hoile is probably the only one who can "visualise" feelings from Wilson's song.

  • @TheEvinus i can too. watch my vid for Blackfield's song.

  • Eargasm <3

  • Sometimes people just dislike a thing as a silly proof of individuality... But in situations like these, you just got to admit you are observing/listening to a universal masterpiece. So, those who thinks that being original is disliking this are behaving as tasteless chimps. Still, i respect them...

  • @Tigreloaded I don't, so FUCK THEM!

  • Damn. The very last bit starting at 4:50 never fails to give me goosebumps.

  • im scared yet intrigued all at the same time... thats fine isn't it?

  • Steven Wilson + Lasse Hoile = Too much Awesomeness for the world to handle!

  • is it just me or does this song sound like radiohead? :s

  • @daniau it is just you

  • GREAT GREAT GREAT TUNE!!

  • WOW !

  • Masterpiece!

  • Astonishing.I feel like people on youtube must in some cases just hit the dislike button because they are trying to be funny or something. No one could really dislike this.

  • I love how the videos from Watershed have this victorian feel to them

  • Steven Wilson is a fucking genius...

  • fantastic song! I never heard of him until now, and I feel bad I haven't heard about him sooner

  • @gamer46ful Welcome then, to an awesome world of music. His work is quite amazing.

After you've explored Porcupine Tree and Blackfield, look at other stuff around it, like OSI's self titled album. Steven Wilson does some guest vocals and songwriting on there for a track called shutDOWN. Then go listen to the rest of OSI's albums. Look on here for radiologue and while you're listening to it look up Donald Crowhurst on wikipedia. Matter of fact give it a couple of listens as you read.

  • Whoa

  • Maybe would like the song better if it where longer so they wouldnt need to compress the content as much as they did and after the speed up the song and everything stoped to make sense

  • Very nice indeed! Thanks for sharing!

  • Steven Wilson's music is absolutely astonishing. It's so genuine, pure and musically fascinating. He's so underrated too.. It's..God like :'D

  • Lasse Hoile is a photography GENIUS.

  • Classic Halle Vid! We love it!

  • @LasseHoileDotCom mind-blowing - I've spent a few nights trying to work out all those references.

Is there any chance we could buy some high-quality prints/posters? I'd love especially that last scene where they're half buried in the sand. I love those abandoned (?) cranes on the background. Also, the one where they lean on each other. They've got feelings too, assuming they're different creatures than us humans at all.

Well, I've still got work to do with my interpretation but...

  • This is the best music video that has ever been made.

Seriously. Im not kidding. Wilson is a genius. Hoile is a genius. Together? Incredeble.

This video is touching, sad, beautiful, and just amazing in all possible ways.

    A masterpiece!

  • You know when I think about it. This reminds me abit of Zdzislaw Beksinski. In that the freakish creatures inhabitating that grey apocalyptic world. Really doesnt seem that evil. Like that part when the birdpeople are sitiing down leaning at eachother.

  • one of the most f*****'genius of nowadays

  • phenonimal song and album the man is a genious.

  • drowning while listening to this.. so great

  • god- you make the most fucked videos. brilliantly fucked! :D

  • Not too different from Porcupine Tree really.

  • @davivas679 well ya know. since steven writes their shit too..

  • Greatness as ever1

  • This is a masterpiece.

  • i like music.

  • Eargasm.

  • Great xD

  • beautiful. steven wilson = God

  • Brilliant !

  • i feel like i just watched the ring video and i know any second now i'm going to get a phone call "7 days" .-.

  • Dat tree tongue

  • His songs are amzingly melodic and hard and his voice is hauntingly beautiful. It's about time we had a few rockers that did't have to scream to get thier point across. Not that I don't enjoy a screaming song or anything, but it's a breath of fresh air.

  • In a lot of ways, this video represents how I picture parts of the world from "The Dark Tower" looking.

  • Anybody noticed this is filmed around the Steven Wilson HQ building?

  • @pedropo1000 Nicely spotted :-) If you watch Insurgentes the film you can see how it has changed over the years :-) L

  • @LasseHoileDotCom I was actualy thinking of buying the DVD

  • is this done in dedication of , or by harmony korine ?

  • amazing!

  • this is like the most inspiring piece of art ive seen in a long time

    this man is a genius

  • I can't believe this limey bastard kicked me out of Storm Corrosion. He'll have to resort to using a shit drummer like Gavin Harrison.

  • @MlKEPORNTOY LOL winwinwinwinwin

On a serious note, Gavin Harrison did a drum clinic in my hometown last night. It was fucking amazing.

  • 2.22. BatterSea power plant that's on the cover of the Animals album by the Pink Floyd. sweeeet...

  • foreeeeeveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!

  • @Soilwar Mwahaha you are funny. :)

  • steve wilson is genius

  • the kind of pictures you see only in dreams

  • Good song but the video is a bit cheesy

  • fact

  • woww !!!! congratulations !!!!

  • 46 persone capiscono gran poco di Musica...

  • @SelvaggiaVibriSs e anche di cinema...

  • Can anyone tell me what is that strange structure at 0:58 - 0:59 and 1:42 - 1:46??? Thank you.

  • @ilteatrodelsogno1986 IDK but it's also in the Bass Communion video for "Dwarf Artillery".

  • In an industry overrun with shallow music, Steven Wilson stands out as a true artist among many so-called 'musicians'. I hope his music continues to inspire and move those who have the privilege hear it.

    "Forever."

  • Steven Wilson is too genius for the music industry.

  • 1:43 Bass communion's II cover lol

  • so much memories..

  • Bunuel meets Tarkovskij!

  • SW and Lasse Hoile sure got things to show

  • Ti GAMATO pou einai!

  • This Is The Perfecting Of A Progressive Rock Project

  • FEEL NO SHAME

  • seee e..BUT pynkk floyd ya no entra a mi oido... steven wilson suena mas a mi generacion .. pynk floyd escuchaba mi abuelo..

  • a Napoli....ti vogliamo a Napoli ! Favolosi i tuoi progetti da solista.....devi venire nella citta' dell'arte musicale !

  • wonderful music. I love his music!

  • This video now has more views than any video with the man Harmony Korine.

  • This video scares me...

  • Porcupine Tree+Lasse Hoile=Perfection

  • He's using the name "Harmony Korine" as a nod to Pink Floyd's "Astronomy Domine".

  • @Davram67 uh..no? i have never heard that. harmony korine is the name of a film director...the two aren't even pronounced similarly

  • @populvuh02 No kidding!! So the song itself is about Harmony Korine? Just like Tinto Brass is about Tinto Brass? Wow! I can consider myself educated by your superior knowledge!!

  • Comment removed

  • PINK FLOYD FANS, watch this.........incredible

  • I feel connected to both video and music in a totally irationnal way.

  • Okay. This video is awesome, and I love Steve Wilson. But its literally one of the weirdest things I've ever seen, and I'm having trouble understanding most of (if not all of) the imagery in it. Is it just a random collection of dark, disturbing, psychadelic images or does it mean something?

  • @stricken5tein "Is it just a random collection of dark, disturbing, psychadelic images or does it mean something?" I think that's for you to decide.

  • OMG I've called myself a Prog fan for so long, and haven't really listened to Porcupine Tree or Steve Wilson ;D

And I LOVE Prog fans....Theres never an argument on a Prog youtube video...You guys are kinda like Intellectual, chilled out Metal heads ;D

  • @MrPurpleguitar Yeah, you me both! What's it all about? I love it :))

  • @MrPurpleguitar Aaaand what the heck is a Prog exatly?

  • @erikiuxas Progressive.

  • The tree guy with the tongue is a reference to the movie "Little Otik," which is on Netflix instant.

  • Every second of this video is Great for a Wallpaper ..

  • @TheGloriousEyes so true

  • @TheGloriousEyes definitely!

  • @TheGloriousEyes indeed! are there any wallpapers of steven wilsons abstract art? I love this vid and would like to get a similiar wallpaper....

  • I'd really love to hear that song performed live with his band during his tour for Grace for Drowning.

  • Has this song been in any film? It seems so familiar.

  • I think this is one of the tightest songs Steven has written in his career. I love the breakdown at 03:27 - fantastic stuff. Nice, atmospheric video too. Roll on Grace for Drowning!

  • There are no words to describe how much good Steven is.

  • this album is a sweet cake with no calories.

  • Great video. Now I guess it's time for some Bone Thugz-N-Harmony.

  • This is a wonderful video for Harmony Korine. Great, classic Lasse Hoile stuff here. Perfect for Steven's stuff.

  • @hoihoeist I'll be joining you there! Can't actually wait!

  • Yeah my song is better. I wrote it too. Didn't use someone else's cut rate tune. I was trying to display the video in a response but you don't allow video responses. Good thing for you I guess.

  • excelente

  • I love this song, but... He made Fear of a Blank planet later with P.T., and the gimmick is almost the same. He rocks, that's sure, but he has tendances to make always the same songs. Even in P.T.

    Not so important it's fantastic.

  • @KojWerraps Yeah, I agree with you. Over three years of listening to PT, I have come to become acquainted with some oh his flaws, like taking himself somewhat seriously. Having said that, he has every right to have some redeeming flaws, because I think he is one of the greatest musicians alive, and one of the most important musicians of all time, given that he is making SUCH music in TODAY's dubstep, trance, Bieber, Rebecca Black, hip-hop listening world.

  • @KojWerraps have you heard the whole of Insurgentes (where this song is from)? Its nothing like PT at all, maybe early PT, but the PT that we know of today. Lots of noise music, ambient sounds, weird istrumentals, PT is more straightforward melodic rock fused with metal. The Incident is closer to Insurgentes in some areas, but still rather different. Just saying :)

  • @toolfan92 You're right, I should have tried to listen to the full album before making a judgement, but I have 4 CDs of P.T. and this song (harmony korine) that made me discover Steven wilson's music in general ended making me believe what I said earlier on this comment page. Maybe should I get it, maybe right now, by magic we all know.

  • @KojWerraps well i dont blame you, when I first heard Harmony Korine, i checked the title of this video make sure I wasn't listening to Porcupine Tree. It's similar indeed.

  • @KojWerraps what? PT is the most versatile band ever dude.. only caveat is they need a few more upbeat songs :P

  • 43 people have no ears

  • 43 people NEVER heard GREAT music!

  • This is beautiful and horrifying at the same time

  • as long as steven came up with this idea solo thing, it all sort of fell into place and that's what it came to, A REVELATION, BRIGHTNESS REAL MUSIC AND YEARS AHEAD HIS ERA!!!

  • just blew a massive load to this song

  • its impossible not to relate every lyric wilson has written to my own life even when the actual message or meaning has nothing to do with what im relating it to. I must sound stupid but sw has a way with words unlike anyone ill ever know so ty steven.

  • best song ever!

  • Moar Lasse Hoile.

  • steven was going out with my sister for 6 months in mexico, we drunk in a mexican transport called Trajinera.... was so epic and weirdo!!

  • @seiya209 with your sister? god, how lucky she is/you are!

  • The Crow dude is Steven right?

  • 42 ppl weren't high enough when they saw this vid...

  • some parts reminds me of the video of depeche mode walking in your shoes.

i love this video and song

  • Lasse Hoile images and videos + Steven Wilson music = Pure Genius Art !!!

  • wow love these images, well done!

  • Is this from a solo album?

  • @jingsken Yes

  • This actually is pretty fitting, given the title.

    <3 Harmony Korine.

  • I love it! This may happen, if we remain paralised to all the destruction that takes place everywhere in the world.

  • this is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard...and watching the video while listening makes it orgasmic. amazing.

  • @alice4x5 orgasmic I agree mate

  • lauren?

  • Ain comedown & fall forever, Drain the dirt into the wasteland. Pray, for sound, to quiet the howling. Feel, no shame, too brave, feel afraid, to wait forever. Kneel, to fade, the day's corrosion. Crawl depart, towards perdition. Gray, the part the bruise, within you. Feel, no shame, too brave. Feel, afraid to wait forever. Feel, no shame too brave. Feel afraid to wait forever.
