@FatBoySlim696 - glad u asked buddy here's a good answer from a good question- cause they are aluminium shielded wrapped so outside electrical interference like power cords which causes noise (snow) in a HD picture don't bleed into the hdmi cable, also if a hdmi cable is crimped like a water hose it causes lose of signal flow.
